Babylon Sisters (Steely Dan) Drum Cover by

After quite a long break (mainly due to work travel-and just needing a breather..) I am very proud to post today's cover, "Babylon Sisters" off of Steely Dan's Gaucho album. I know... I know... I've been on a Steely Dan kick lately. This will probably be my last Steely Dan cover for a while. But I have to admit, doing Steely Dan covers are a total blast. A good part of it is learning the drumming but equally as awesome (for me) is dialing in the mix. Steely Dan mixed their records for audiophiles and "mixing" a cover from them is just as important to me as the playing. Bernard Purdie does another of his legendary shuffles on this tune. I also get a chance to use my new 16" Zildjian K Custom Fast Crash. LOVE IT!!
