There are lots of Korean wordplay, so some lines of lyrics might feel awkward, These are some clues that you can understand the song more. 88: GD's birthday is 18.08.1988, So he puts his own meaning on the Number 8. I couldn’t tell if you had the captions on, but for future reference most Korean songs have English Subtitles if you turn on the closed captions. Although this song apparently has a lot of wordplay that is lost in translation. G Dragon was accused by the police and media of a crime last year, of which he ended up proving that he was totally innocent, but during the investigation a lot of people online and in media were bad mouthing G Dragon and this song is a clap back to those people. You’ll notice the line, “prove ‘em all wrong got all the receipts.”
