    I'm only a female freshman and I dont have a career path in mind, so the military was always the last option. I can only go for the army though, I can't swim that well and I'm afraid of heights.

    • @itsfloozi7356
      @itsfloozi7356 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The thing about the military is they will give you the chance to confront those fears and get over them. For example, the Marines have a rappelling wall. If you're scared of heights, you'll probably freak out, just like I would have a while back, but once you get outside of your comfort zone, doing things you didn't think you could do previously becomes that much easier. I went flying in a helicopter with a family friend, and it was actually fun. So, don't limit yourself to what you THINK you can't do. Get out there into the unknown and go for it!

    Eat lots of celery because it takes alot of calories to digest it. Cold water also because calories are needed to heat it up.

    • @BlueEyes-ii4zz
      @BlueEyes-ii4zz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Also Special K and probiotics such as Activia, and Oatmeal (not the instant stuff) also helps. As a guy those options may seem feminine as females don't like to eat however as males we do but does work and help us curb our appetites

    • @zoommiesbay
      @zoommiesbay 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thats a myth. there no zero calorie food nonsense. Eat celery because you like it and want a good source of fiber.

    • @zoommiesbay
      @zoommiesbay 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @BlueEyes-ii4zz i also wouldn't recommend special k as you aren't getting a lot of volume for the calories you're eating. The rolled oats are good though

    I know it’s a bit late to comment on the video considering you made it 3 months ago but hopefully you see this and I can get some info from you. I started out 255lbs at 5’6”, extremely overweight for my height. My required weight is 175lbs. 3 1/2 months later I’ve finally hit 188 and nearing my goal of 175 to hopefully enlist as a TACPs (speaking it into to existence). My question is, should I begin to seek out a recruiter now? Or wait until I have hit at least hit 180-183lbs or obviously the target weight which is 175lbs?

      You can do it Esmeralda. Look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself if you like what you see. If the answer is no, then ask yourself, whatchu you gonna do about it? You gonna let that person in the mirror win? That's what I did, 20 pounds later I feel much better, not there yet, but I'm getting there. My three tips to losing weight are: maintain a calorie deficit. You don't have to give up your favorite foods, just eat less. Cut down on junk food eat once in a while but not as often. No need to get into a diet and start eating salads an d chicken everyday, that's what causes most people to quit. 2. Cardio is your best friend. Cardio gets the heart pumping and shreds fat. Too bad I hate running with every cell in my body. Jump rope instead. Jump as long as you can at first, the goal is at least 30 min 3x a week. Do some everyday if you want crazy results. 3. it will get tough. Moments where you don't wanna work out anymore. Ask yourself why you are doing this. Your answer should always be because this is the person I chose to be. Plus, when you put on clothes that fit you now, aint no better feeling Good luck Esmeralda! You can do this!

    I need to lose 55lbs or 25kgs... I'm looking at all possible ways on how to lose fat. I will be living a pretty sedentary life due to my work but man, I need to lose weight one way or another. I'm 6'0 weighing 216lbs/98kgs. I have a question with the 25/25/25/25 push up exercise plan, do you do the push ups before breakfast? I'm gonna start drinking a green juice that's helped some family members. I need to be consistent, I tend to start for a bit and then just get discouraged and/or bored.

      @@TheBenAllen. I think you forgot the new crossfit based pt test, the ACFT. I believe that, if not right now, then definitely by the time

    • @TheBenAllen.
      @TheBenAllen.  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      golfery I didn’t forget I just assumed he was asking about right now, the ACFT isn’t standard Army wide until October, but is being implemented at some basic trainings. Either way it’s a 2 mile run for both. Not to sure on the time requirements though.

    • @golfery5119
      @golfery5119 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TheBenAllen. I imagine that some people, even with training and preparation, *ARE STILL* going to get whooped by and possibly fail the ACFT.
      I'm a 92G and supposedly my MOS is in the "significant" category. Looks like, for example, we have to do 180 pounds on the deadlift. No sexism, because I know some real physically strong women (they're typically larger women), but I know quite a few very small girls in my MOS that it would be pretty difficult to imagine deadlifting 180 pounds once, let alone three times (I've had one girl tell me straight up she'd fail the deadlift)
      My company commander told me straight up that his wife, also on active duty and is a captain, is ETS'ing this year in part because she can get a decent job outside the military but also so she won't have to deal with the new ACFT. Then there are people who still mess up the leg tuck.
      So it's easier to pass for some people (even if harder to max) but to other people, it's easier to fail.
