    Theater seating would be my preference Josh! No need for max sleeping on my end. Would love to see more class C’s just under 30’ to compare. Thanks for you work!!

    Someone needs to make a gif of Josh doing the catwalk. 😆 I really like this RV. I like that the driver's side console is oriented towards the driver. I love the size. The fridge is awesome. Lots of things to love.

    Just when I think I’ve decided on which to buy - TT, 5th Wheel or conversion van - now I see this! I think this would be the simplest way to go as an older solo female soon to be full timer.

    • @janmoline
      @janmoline ปีที่แล้ว

      Cyndi, it's the way I wish I'd gone! I went with a 5th wheel, hoping my 6'7" partner would camp with me. Nope! This has 7' shower still wouldn't fit but since he's not interested the 5th wheel is a bit much.

    • @cyndiloo3041
      @cyndiloo3041 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@janmoline thank you so much for taking the time to share your opinion, I GREATLY appreciate it. I was leaning toward the 5th wheel too, but a small-ish Class A seems like a whole lot less stress when you’re alone - which I actually prefer. No one to disappoint me.

    Great Job "NERD". Timing is everything. I first came across your channel back in 2018 when we were looking for our rig. I just took for granted all of the class "C's" that were on your play list. We finally got a Greyhawk 29MV in 2019. I did look at the Precept but the layout of the Greyhawk won me over, and looking at the space available in "ROAD MODE", Our Rottweiler is very happy with the room he has while traveling. I see the trend to go with the 12v frig, but even though I too am from the mid-west, "INDY" we do a lot of dry camping I would be lost without my two way frig. I did swap out the 4" frat fan and I have a prop rod for the bed lol. Thanks to your channel you made narrowing down the choices of rigs Soooooo much easier. And although we are super happy with our Greyhawk, we will forever be a loyal watcher of your videos. BTW, we swapped out the tri fold couch for recliners/theater seats, that couch was horrible to sit on and sleep on, it is sooooo NOT Missed. Keep up the Great work "NERD" Best Wishes My Bish's Brother

    I like! I often dismiss class A's and C's for size and inconvenience of having to make/break camp if you want to drive somewhere. The towing of a small car is always an option, but it is one I don't really have much knowledge of other than seeing it happen in the real world occasionally (a video topic perhaps?). I do like the overall look and feel of this. I'd definitely prefer the theater seat option and probably the two way fridge. I am quite fine with the tan baseline paint but the others are interesting as well. Good stuff!

  • @tjztyger
    @tjztyger ปีที่แล้ว

    Another top notch Nerd production, Uncle J, but I didn't hear you mention the crown jewel of the AGS system. For pet owners who might have to leave their critters for a bit, the AGS can be set to start the generator at a set temperature. Anyone who's experienced a campsite power failure knows how quickly an RV heats up, even in moderate sunlight. Summertime camping in Crotchrot, Mississippi will be a lot less nerve wracking knowing that if shore power goes out, Fido & Keekee will be safe in genny powered AC comfort!
    By-the-by, I'd always prefer my coach in full body paint. $83 per month over the course of a 15 year loan is a small price to pay for the beauty and added protection of paint.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd

  • @roannathephoenix8561
    @roannathephoenix8561 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    All that storage is fantastic for a long trip or people like me that pack for every possibility. I could see sunbirds really enjoying this rig. I'd rather have the theater seat and possibly change out the dinette to a belly up to bar under the window. Of course you lose the TV so I don't know how that would work unless the bar is in front of it.
    I'm still waiting for an electric van that Jayco can convert to a class B.

  • @ApartmentB
    @ApartmentB ปีที่แล้ว

    I used to use the Garmin 770 and had the worst luck with it especially out west. I had used it new out of the box so it did not need to be updated. it ended up trying to take us down some 4 wheeler roads (not 4 wheel drive, 4 wheeler trails). I ended up switching just to my maps on my phone since they were the most accurate that I have used lately.

    Josh, My wife and I are retired (me, 71 & Marianne, 67). Thoroughly enjoy your videos, have learned a lot and truly appreciate your's (and Bish's) honest presentation of information. The Precept 31UL looks perfect for us. I find myself with the following conundrum... Spend approx $90K for a used class A but then needing to buy a flat tow vehicle for $30K - $40K OR would we be better of buying a used 3/4 or 1T pickup for $80K on up and an much cheaper 5th wheel. My thoughts are the truck will hold value better than a class A. Any thoughts.
    Your take on another item (haven't seen anyone touch this on TH-cam). There are two primary awning hardware styles... First is hardware connected only at the top (under the fabric), I call it the "V" extender. My brain says that is a LOT of torque on a single point. The second has hardware vertically mounted that look like they would be a lot stronger and less stressed if the wind blows.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The cost vectors are a major reason I am a fan of Towables. You may spend the same money but get far more use of the vehicle portion in a towable scenario

      @tjztyger ปีที่แล้ว

      Not to troll, but I'm a truck driver, as well. I can assure you they are not the same. Poor aerodynamics and high center of gravity make RV driving quite a bit more attention demanding. You've got a leg up on the Average Joe, but sway, yaw, and especially pitch will land you squarely in unchartered territory. Safe travels however you do it!

    I love these "Baby A's". I would be reluctant to drive a traditional Class A that is so long but these more Class C size class A's are more I think comfortable for many people to drive. This has good functionality and features in a smaller package. I love the visibility you get from the cab area and there is plenty of sleeping space if you bring a family along. I also appreciate the exterior storage that's available on this type of coach as compared to a traditional Class C which usually has very limited exterior storage. I like the interior finishes including the farmhouse decor and having a large refrigerator is great especially if you are on an extended trip or a full-timer. The only function this is missing from a traditional Class A is the ability to have laundry on board. I think if they could find a way to sneak laundry in the bedroom area as one of those closets it would be perfect. I'm not sure how feasible it would be and I'm sure it would have to be a combo unit but if you were a full-timer that would probably work okay for you. Otherwise, this coach has everything you could need. I would see myself swapping down to a queen size mattress but I don't know that I could get a residential length to fit in here. I would probably have to get a camp Queen and put it extender of 6 in to be able to at the top once I arrived at my campsite. Thanks for bringing this one to us josh. Being part of your "nerd herd" is very educational and a pleasure to see the comprehensive reviews that you provide. It is clear you are not just here to sell something. You want to make sure people get the right RV for their situation and are able to safely travel when camping.

    Other than the shower outside the bathroom, no issues.
    I don't mind the sink there, but nobody needs to see me shower....nobody

      the hallway has two doors in it so the shower and bathroom can be completely isolated. No peepers!

      @@55afishead true but I would have others going between the bathroom and bedroom. For me this is a deal breaker. Works for others, not me.
