Great video. I own the 24oz widemouth trail series and was looking into possibly buying the 40oz version. Hard sell considering the 24oz can fit in almost any cupholder even with the rubber boot.
My nephew once filled up his hydroflask with water and put it in the fridge so the water would be cold the next day for a hike or something. Well, the water was not cold. He goes duh, and it dawned on him. Of course it didn't get cold, because the flask was insulated. 🤣
I would suspect that preparing the Trail Hydroflask - adding ice cubes first and closing. Then sitting for maybe an hour to 2 to cool the interior. Then adding water will allow it to remain cold longer.
Well, the 32 ounce bottle is essentially a 1 liter bottle right? If I’m not mistaken, a liter has 33 ounces. I’m thinking the 40 ounce might be a little overkill for a hike.
@@TotalOutdoorsBC Oh for goodness' sake, I get it now. You little freak 🤣 I'm only recently getting serious about hiking and am beginning to notice other people's unrestrained artistic sticker expressions via their Nalgene bottles. I appreciate you using the Socratic method to get me thinkin.
I believe that all lids work with it, but the straw might not reach to the bottom if it's the sipper lid. Unfortunately the rubber protectors don't fit it!
I only compared the Nalgene's weight and I wasn't expecting it to be in the range of either Hydro Flask. I compared it because they are so popular and it's probably the most common bottle to take hiking/outdoors, etc.
I bought this flask (32oz) just today and i just can't stop staring at it and admiring how cool it looks. I can't wait to use it everyday!
What color? 😀
Calm down, it's just a bottle
@@apocalic can't calm down when you're admiring it xx

Very good point! 24oz is plenty as long as you're close to fountains, and your friends bring their own 😅
Great video !
Thanks!

I’d say for me 32oz is noticeably less than 1L especially compared to a Nalgene which you can fill up a bit past a litre.
What are the brand of backpacks you used in the video?
Black one is the old version of the North Face Recon and the grey one is an Eddie Bauer stowaway backpack.
3:54 "Sticker".
I don't follow, what does that have to do with anything?
It doesn't mean anything...or does it??

Does it work Witz sparkeling water?
Yes it does :)
I absolutely love the trail series but the 40oz is ridiculously tall 😂 I tend to stick with my regular 40oz if I need that much.
What accessories work with this bottle ??

Why are you comparing this to a non-insulated Nalgene bottle
I only compared the Nalgene's weight and I wasn't expecting it to be in the range of either Hydro Flask. I compared it because they are so popular and it's probably the most common bottle to take hiking/outdoors, etc.
It’s a constant
he's comparing the weight. did you not watch the video or you can't comprehend things easily? lmao
Not to mention it is called "trail" series. So im assuming they are advertising toward hiking crowd.
Good video, I like this but no chance I'll be buying one lol
Didnt know he was Canadian, until he DIDN'T mention ounces😋
The Nalgene is plastic, so won't keep water cold and will be lighter, not sure of the point of the comparison.
The point is to see how the weight compares to a non insulated water bottle and if it’s worth it
