I am an old, mighty and wise leader, and the most prominent hero of the Kalevala. I am also a shaman and a singer who builds the world's first kantele. Kantele is our national instrument and as legend say Väinämöinen built the first kantele from a giant pike's jawbone, and after it was lost in the waves of the sea, in stealing of Sampo he carved a new one from birch. Sampo or kirjokansi is a miracle machine that makes or grinds money, grain and salt. Sampo is considered to have a cover, as its other name is kirjokansi.
