സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് കാടില്ലാതിരുന്ന ഏകജില്ലയായ ആലപ്പുഴയ്ക്ക് ജൈവവൈവിധ്യം നിറഞ്ഞൊരു കാട് സമ്മാനിച്ച കുടുംബത്തെയാണ് ഈയാഴ്ച്ച എം. ആർ. ഹരി പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത്. കായംകുളത്തിനടുത്ത് പുല്ലുകുളങ്ങരയിലെ കൊല്ലകൽ തപോവനം എന്ന വീട്ടിലേക്ക് കാടിനൊപ്പം കയറിവന്ന പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും ഏറെയാണ്.
In this video, M. R. Hari introduces a family of committed foresters - natural, trained and trainee silviculturists - who have a unique achievement to their credit. They have created the first forest in the district of Alappuzha. The great-grandmother talks about her passion for trees and the endless bounty of Nature, while her Environmental engineer-daughter talks about how we can reduce our carbon footprint by adopting a carbon-neutral lifestyle. Such a combination of folk wisdom and hi-tech knowledge has contributed hugely to the healthy and dense growth of the forest in the Kollakal Thapovanam plot at Pullukulangara.

2019 ൽ ആണ് ഞാൻ പോയത്. അമ്മ കൂടെ വന്നു എല്ലാം കാണിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞുതരികയും ചെയ്തു. രണ്ട് അമ്മമാരെയും കാണാനും ഒന്നിച്ചു നിന്നു ഫോട്ടോ എടുക്കാനും കഴിഞ്ഞു.
ഗാർഗിലിനെയും കസ്തൂരി രംഗനെയും കാണുന്നിടത്തു വെച്ച് വെട്ടിക്കൊല്ലാൻ നടക്കുന്ന നമ്മൾ പ്രബുദ്ധ നവോത്ഥാന മലയാളികൾക്ക് വലിയ അപമാനമാണ് ഈ "അമ്മ "

How much carbon footprint a normal Malayali produce? And how many trees on average is needed to fulfill that (I heard madam was telling different trees have different carbon storage capacity. But it's good to give some examples so that we can understand better about this topic)
