Hey Dom, some of those frosted figurines (like @ 7:36) could be Lalique from France. Maybe check that out, it would be etched in the glass. They can go for good money.
Did you find out why the family just walked off and left all those possessions in the house? It's surprising no one went in over the years and stole things. I loved the wood burning stove. I have to admit, I'm still not used to seeing you handle glass! Especially the thin fragile pieces. 😄 I saw the chip in the colored piece but figured you didn't mind since it was so different. It was my favorite item. Sweet Daisy, she always brings a smile!
Hi Lina. From what I heard, it was one guy living there, there was a fire, he bailed, and the estate sale company was hired to liquidate. He wasn’t gone for years and the place was in an isolated location which is why the stuff was still there. Definitely a change with the glass stuff but have not broken anything yet. The water pitcher and basin are beautiful! Love the Italian vase; for some of us no biggie with the chip.Gorgeous colors!! Love the Native American dolls!!❤to 🐕🐾🐾❣️
New here, and catching up on your postings. As a book guy I ended up going to a lot of the type of sales you do a long time ago, I am not so active now that I am over 75. One of the things I learned early on, because I was not above picking other things than books, if the price was right, ... after all I was already there.. was not to just use my eyes when looking at ceramics, China, and glass ware. use your fingers to run over all the edges, where there was likely to be a chip or crack. Your fingers will pick up things, even under the dust, that your eyes will miss. Even turning up a lot of carefully done repairs, not to mention the not so well done ones. 🙂
I saw that chip on the blue, pink and yellow vase while you were showing it. I can’t believe you couldn’t hear me saying it was chipped. I always run my finger around the edge of every thing I purchase. I learned to do that after bringing home many chipped items. It’s all a learning experience! Just found your channel and I like it. Gonna subscribe. Thanx for your videos.
On behalf of all the new resellers like myself I would like to thank you for all the knowledge that you pass on to all of us. It has helped save me from throwing away money unnecessarily!
I love love love to buy glass, but you have to remember to run your hands along the rims and edges to make sure you don’t feel any chips. It’s as important as making sure that batteries in electronic devices aren’t corroded.
I get it but in this situation that actually could be dangerous because that is a sharp edge that can cut your hands. Anyway, in this situation it would not have mattered because I still would get that vase for $5 with the chip.
Sorry to miss the premiere, Dom, but my brother was visiting for the weekend. Looks like you're going to have to start adding bubble wrap to your boxes - even a little clanking makes me nervous. Looking at sold prices at auction, the L E Smith glass seems to sell for surprisingly little - you seem to have gotten one of the better pieces. As you probably know, serious art books can sell for big $$$ if you ever find them. I once saw a lot of rare Klee books go for over $1000 at auction. The catalogue raisonné type of art book is in a different league from the coffee table books.
Yeah, I’m real happy with the LE Smith vase. Will keep an eye out for the art books. I already use bubble wrap. See my shipping vids on shipping breakables. Double boxing is the key. See you at the next premiere.
The dolls were a great find. There are a lot of doll buyers out there. The paper dolls probably would sell to mixed media artists. They are always looking for paper items for artwork as well as journal makers. Thanks for the video!
I love the LE Smith and the coloring books! But I wouldn't buy the Italy vase because of the chip which stood out to me when you were considering it or the wood windchimes which are missing 1 "tube". If I inherited either of those items, that damage wouldn't bother me. Thanks
Agreed,,, Seem to remember (back in the 70's) how 'trendy' Early American decor was with local hobby/greenware shops. ie. Ethan Allen Furniture stores, Wood Spinning Wheels etc.
I just picked up a vintage Superman coloring book as part of a large lot of comics from the Allentown Paper show. I hear you on the coloring books!🤘😎👍. There were also a big chunk of 12 cent comics in the box too! 🎉
Some really nice grabs in that group but I would have left the chip vase behind. Tried and failed at the same thing - thinking a small chip wouldn't make a difference but it really does if there's others for sale. So I try to examine them as close as possible when I first looked them over. You're still going to miss stuff like a crack but that's the best way to keep from being stuck with something you can barely get your money back for.
The LE Smith vase was a great score. They are called “swung” because of the way they are made. The vase is created at the top by the artist swinging it while the glass is still pliable. None of them are the same at top. I believe the larger they are the more they’re worth. Don’t know how the really big ones are made. Big bucks to be had for them.
The blue swung vase is a LE Smith Smoothie in peacock I think. Amazing price.oh when you ship it wrap it in pool noodles an stuff the inside with bubble wrap. Also after you wrap the pool noodles wrap in bubble an double box it.
I don't know a lot about glass either, but I do know to pass on pieces with chips and/or cracks. The curved vase looked like it had a huge crack on the lip
It's actually a small chip but some pieces will still sell with a chip in it. I was not going to pass on this one due to the scarcity, iridescent rainbow colors, and Italian origin, and the $5 price. In general though, yes, usually best to avoid chips and cracks
The dolls!!! 😲 They're amazing, but "They're a little dusty" cracked me up! 😆 I would not have picked up the wash set because it seems like a shipping nightmare--good for you!

Great find on the LE Smith. Too bad the American Eagle was claimed by one of the estate sale people. They should have removed it before the sale if they want it. Why? Because I was at an estate sale a few months ago. I picked up two swung vases off the sale table, found the estate sale company owner to ask the price (nothing was priced), she grabbed them from my hands and said... I’m getting these, you can’t buy them and she walked away with them. I was so shocked. I’ll never attended a sale by that company again. So unethical. What can you do? 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Gah, the ceramic water jug and bowl were art projects at ceramics class in the 70-80s. Not worth much unless you are a twenty something who likes cottage core aesthetic who isn’t so knowledgeable yet.
Lol, no it was empty. I have to pick and chose what I’m going to show and discuss and already showed 3 items I was not getting in that area so showing an empty box didn’t make the cut. Good eye though! It’s just one of the things I know going into making these vids. Some will ask why I did not grab something if I don’t explain why but I just can’t do that for all of the items in the house
A "little chip" to a seller is a big deal to a collector. Unless it's on a very old and/or rare piece (which the colorful vase isn't), I wouldn't buy chipped pieces to resell. You may have more success - partly because of your very large social media following. Those without that would likely have a difficult time selling that piece IMO.
It actually is an old and rare piece. It doesn’t have to be “very old” to sell with a chip. A simple ebay sold comps search for vases with the word chip in the title proves that. Only one other on the market for this particular vase. Over 99% of my sales have nothing to do with my social media following. My eBay buyers generally have no clue who I am on social media. Those very few viewers who do buy, typically buy items that don’t cost too much.
I think you undervalue the influence of your following. Traffic to your ebay store is no doubt higher than it would be for someone without a big following who had been on ebay the same amount of time with the same inventory. Whether followers buy isn't the issue to ebay -- the algorithm takes into account all the visits to your ebay store that come from videos, mentions on other channels, etc. You earn those visits with the work you put in, but they definitely pay off in extra traffic and sales.
So neat running into you once again Dom! We enjoy all your videos. We've learned a lot! Thanks for the shout out from Rod & me to give Daisy some love. She really likes that spot on the top of the couch back. lol Good lookout for her to protect P.T.H.Q. & to watch for Mrs. P.T.!!
The pitcher and wash basins wether vintage or not really don't sell as there's no market for them lucky to get $49-70 really lucky that is very long tail!

@@grandmasheeshee9579 yes indeed. eBay has a new managed payments system. It’s easy to set up. I have payments automatically deposited into my bank account each day from eBay
No, I purposely passed on it. That's a Charles Chips tin. I used to get those delivered to my house from the Cahrles Chips truck when I was a kid. I see them at half of the estate sales I go to. They are very common and not worth much especially when factoring in shipping. I do get some potato chip containers sometimes but usually much older ones made on cardboard. Thanks Nelly!
Just curious… how does the wash basin& pitcher qualify as Mid Century Modern?? (MCM)
Made in the 1960s
Great video & wonderful finds
Thanks Robin!
Dominic... If those dolls are Pueblo Dolls, run them past Chuck R. at MHC, Denver. Nice to see your still grinding out the content!😊👍🐿
Thanks and will do!!
I loved the scenic drive.
Thanks!
Please give Daisy a belly rub! That L.E. Smith vase was the winner of the day. 🎉
Thanks Cynthia! I've learned so much about them since. Definitely helps to have one so you get used to the look and feel
Nice vid, thanks so much!
Daisy is funny with that spot on the couch she's always on, I love it!
Nice perspective on sometimes its just worth the education. I've learned so much in just this past year researching the odds and ends I've found and the items I've had success with or even not so much.
My goodness I miss the East Coast Soo much now that I live in AZ
Yep, I think of folks who move from here when I film the outdoor clips
What was in the box underneath the table where you found Snoopy? It looks like either comics or magazines, but it is too difficult to see.
Just crafting magazines unfortunately
I am just now poking into your yard sale/estate sale play list. when my son's university room mate graduated with a teaching degree he boarded a cruise ship for many years to teach the kids of rich folks ...lol. When I asked him what his job description was he called it "EDU_TAINMENT". Good word for making learning fun, I guess. It's what you do too, really, taking us along to your picks and road trips for goodies, teaching us and entertaining at the same time.James is a land-lubber now, married with a bunch of kids but what a life he had while he settled down. Daisy?..... she's just sweet eye-candy.
Congrats on finally dipping into the world of glass and ceramics!!! I love your vids and I do watch many of your vids Not just estate sale vids. 😉 FYI...your link above for Etsy says page not found and your link for the shoe lift also says page not found. Thanks for all the info you provide. Can't wait for he next vid! Daisy is so adorable....Give her a couple of belly rubs from me.
Thanks! I fixed the Etsy link and removed the shoe lift link. Amazon does not have the ones I use anymore. Will pass the belly rubs on to Daisy!
The indian dolls are called Skookum dolls. Big $$$$$$
Thanks!
Amazing finds... great video Dom. :)
Thanks T!
Hi Dom, Love the Native American dolls. Hope the dust comes off of them. Hi to Daisy. TFS. ☮💜
Thanks Mary. Yep, I will get it off with a pin point air sprayer
Great job!
Thanks!
Excellent job on the set up for the fire sale joke😂
😅😅😅
New sub Dom. Yvon recommended your channel. I’m not disappointed. Daisy is a cutie. Look forward to seeing more of your work. Take care darling xx
Thanks so much and welcome to the Prime Time family! I’ll be on her live show on Oct 16!
Omg wow that’s really ridiculous!!!
You passed on the most valuable doll there. The composition 1930s Japanese doll. The others were just travel dolls.
Actually, the Skookum dolls are quite valuable
I love watching your videos, gives me an idea what it might be like to be tall, I'm just over 5'!
Lol thanks. Height does have its advantages when sourcing
Would totally buy that Wavy Pastel Vase!!! xo Yvon
I know right! Thanks Yvon!
Nice variety of items!
Thanks!
Here for the double taps!
lol
Don’t buy chipped stuff unless you want it for yourself. Watch glass shows with Jocelyn.
Wrong. Chipped items still sell. Jocelyn buys items with chips. And she sells them. This item has many watchers.
Hello Daisy!
Hello!
I was waiting for an off the grid comment on your way to the sale. LOL
I’ll throw another one in in a future vid lol
Gah, the ceramic water jug and bowl were art projects at ceramics class in the 70-80s. Not worth much unless you are a twenty something who likes cottage core aesthetic who isn’t so knowledgeable yet.
You may be right on that but figured it was worth a shot for the price
How did you clean those dolls up? I’ve passed over too many because I can’t figure out how to clean them. 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve always heard that the bubbles make it really old and more expensive.
you forgot the basket of clothes pins!
LOL, no, didn't forget. I am so loaded with clothepins right now that I don't need anymore
Hello daisy❤❤❤❤
Hello 😊
The Native American (Skookum) dolls are a score. Some sell for $300-$400. I can’t tell you why. I sold one for $120.
Yes I was very happy with those for sure. Thanks!!
Dude, you missed looking at the metal lock box at 18:00 in the video. Under the Annual book.
I have 4 of those basin picture lot's of money
Cool. Thanks
I saw the chip in the beginning, then in the end you saw it. Hope you make out. Ty
Yep, could not pass on it for $5 though
Can you ship one sale in 2 boxes? I have been wondering this for a while.
Love the dolls
Thanks!
Swung vases are HOT right now.
Yes, true!
Thanks Joyce! Always great to see you! Daisy says hello! She loves her lookout spot!
Skookum Dolls!!! :)
Yup!!
The pitcher and wash basins wether vintage or not really don't sell as there's no market for them lucky to get $49-70 really lucky that is very long tail!
Definitely long tail. We’ll see what happens. eBay sold results show 66 sold in the last 90 days out of 109 completed listed (61%sell through rate). Highest sold is $277.25
You got a deal on Blue glass vase
That was the deal of the day for sure.
I kept telling you there is a chip but you weren’t listening, I was saying chip chip chip. Oh well
It's still worth it for $5, chip or not.
Oops forgot to say. Hi Daisey!!!!!
Dominic, I want to sell on Ebay Vintage ablums. Can I sell on E without setting up a PayPal account? Can I give my bank account # and routing # and have the money go directly into my account? Years ago I sold books and it seemed alot easier then. We have learned so much by watching your videos. (the albums have some water damage to the jacket) I have kept the best ones!
@@grandmasheeshee9579 yes indeed. eBay has a new managed payments system. It’s easy to set up. I have payments automatically deposited into my bank account each day from eBay
Missed out on the potato chip tin ..
Same with pretzel containers.
Nice
