Great tutorial HM Studio. Reinstalled my PC, 3Ds Max 2020 and 2023, Vray 6 and 5 and Bridge and it still doesn't work. I don't get it. Why do I have to apply all materials manually and connect the nodes still. Does anyone else have this problem?

You're welcome. In corona you can use the corona layered material instead of vray decal. The workflow is a lot different tho. I guess it is necessary for me to make a video about that as well.
Do you mean the whole render is black or where you use the Bridge assets? Are you sure the textures have been loaded properly? Do you have a light source in your scene? Don't you have license issues?

Hello. Great tutorial, however I cannot get things to work right for the life of me on my end. 3DS Max 2022, Vray current build and Quixal Bridge. All my decals will not employ the transparency around the graphic. Also Bridge is just exporting .jpg even tho I have png ticked. Could this be the problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I figured it out. Even tho I had Opacity maps selected for download in the Decal section of Bridge, it wasn't selected in the overall download settings for Bridge, So Bridge did not download the Opacity map. All is working now. Again, Great Tutorial! I look forward to more.
In 3dsmax 2022 you can already see the diffuse texture on the V-ray decal wich is pretty helpful. that is the only difference that I've noticed to be honest. And about the PNG, I can say that it doesn't make a huge difference. So, don't worry about that one.
Great How To video! I am able to make it work on Max 2021 but the materials need to be applied manually after exporting to Max. I am trying to download Max 2020 to solve the issue. I have an Indie licence for Max. How do you make it automatically apply all textures, Bump, AO etc? I have selected the object. 3d models import correct. I'll keep trying.
Because it's a small scene, there is no need for that. V-ray proxies are more useful in big projects where you have many objects. And I just wanted you guys to learn how to work with pro optimizer modifier...
The whole procedure with the Bridge and megascans is the same for Corona renderer as well, but unfortunately we don't have corona decal yet. It has another workflow and you have to use the composite map or the corona layered material. I already have a tutorial about the composit map and you might find that one useful. But I'll make another tutorial about layered materials later on, hopefully very soon.
Man you have no idea about low poly, that object I can make it 20 polygon. You have thousands there and it will break performances in any game. Looks like I need to start making some videos
