As a 25 year old dude trying to figure out how to live his life amidst the hate and chaos of the world, I don't think there's a song out there that's more accurate to the state of us. The sound and lyrics perfectly encapsulate the exhaustion and frustration of watching everything around us just wistfully careen into madness.

Demon Hunter is truly one of the greatest metal bands of all time. I am constantly in awe of their ability to refine their music and remain relevant and modern, while retaining a distinctly "them" sound, in every album they make. Like, this stuff sounds NOTHING like, say, Triptych, or The World is a Thorn, but it still sounds like Demon Hunter, and it sounds super modern and awesome. Most bands that have this many albums over this many years had a peak and 1.) continue to try and remain relevant but can't, OR 2.) do what they always did and sound more and more outdated. Demon Hunter weaves through the metal trends with a deft hand. And every album is an evolutionary step over the previous. It's never a drastic change, but rather a noticeable refinement in tone and musicality.

Freedom is Dead had me more hyped but this is still a solid song. What I love most is that these new songs sound fresh. The last few albums all had a similar vibe and sound to them, but this stuff sounds “new” so to speak.
You don't know how much you guys are helping me with your songs, all of the thoughts that I am meaningless, and don't deserve where I am now. But this reminded me that my failures aren't what I am. I'll never forget the first time I ever heard the first track, screams of the undead, and I was like "yeah this is cool; there aren't a lot of bands that sound quite like this"... Here, almost 20 years later, they've put out all these albums, and they're all amazing. I never ever would have guessed Demon Hunter of all bands would be such a big deal to me now, the reason for which is mainly because I love the Lord, and their music was catalystic in my conversion about a year and a half ago, but also that the music is so incredibly well played!

They had a kind of simple honesty and low-key sophisticated emotion on that debut that really got me. Almost theatrical, in a good way, as opposed to the other bands at the time that sorta mashed the genre buttons. Project 86 was a rarity too
@@googIesux man, I listened to DH and Project 86 so much in high school and college. Crazy that they’re still going, though P86 is about to put out their final albums. At least it’ll be a double album, though. DH doesn’t show any signs of slowing down, and on another positive note, Becoming The Archetype just got revived. 2022 has just been absolutely nuts for Christian metal and hardcore fans.

Throughout the history of music usually when a band tries something new and it sucks, they stick with it. Demon hunter is not one of these bands. They have never had a bad album and that should say volumes about them and the passion and effort they put into their music.

Most bands that have this many albums over this many years had a peak and 1.) continue to try and remain relevant but can't, OR 2.) do what they always did and sound more and more outdated. Demon Hunter weaves through the metal trends with a deft hand. And every album is an evolutionary step over the previous. It's never a drastic change, but rather a noticeable refinement in tone and musicality.
This is one of the greatest crossovers in metal history. 10/10 you guys did an amazing job

I am not a fan of the style in Freedom Is Dead but this one is classic, beautiful Demon Hunter. Good stuff.
Freedom is Dead had me more hyped but this is still a solid song. What I love most is that these new songs sound fresh. The last few albums all had a similar vibe and sound to them, but this stuff sounds “new” so to speak.
You don't know how much you guys are helping me with your songs, all of the thoughts that I am meaningless, and don't deserve where I am now. But this reminded me that my failures aren't what I am. I was desperate, crying and then this song comes out. It's not about silencing the world, but myself. Thanks

Demon Hunter is definitely one of my favorite band and they never fail to impress me. Been listening since about 2008 and their progression as a band is amazing to me.

I'll never forget the first time I ever heard the first track, screams of the undead, and I was like "yeah this is cool; there aren't a lot of bands that sound quite like this"... Here, almost 20 years later, they've put out all these albums, and they're all amazing. I never ever would have guessed Demon Hunter of all bands would be such a big deal to me now, the reason for which is mainly because I love the Lord, and their music was catalystic in my conversion about a year and a half ago, but also that the music is so incredibly well played!

They had a kind of simple honesty and low-key sophisticated emotion on that debut that really got me. Almost theatrical, in a good way, as opposed to the other bands at the time that sorta mashed the genre buttons. Project 86 was a rarity too
@@googIesux man, I listened to DH and Project 86 so much in high school and college. Crazy that they’re still going, though P86 is about to put out their final albums. At least it’ll be a double album, though. DH doesn’t show any signs of slowing down, and on another positive note, Becoming The Archetype just got revived. 2022 has just been absolutely nuts for Christian metal and hardcore fans.

Throughout the history of music usually when a band tries something new and it sucks, they stick with it. Demon hunter is not one of these bands. They have never had a bad album and that should say volumes about them and the passion and effort they put into their music.

Demon Hunter=Best band of all time and they all I listen to every day. I went from being a metal head listening to Slipknot, Mudvayne, Korn and all of those bands, now this is all I listen to and that will not change.
