This is indeed my very first sponsored video, so let's go over Arlo's Code of Ethics Regarding Sponsored Content, very easily acronymized into the handy word, "The ACOERSC."
I, Arlo, will never accept payment to offer an opinion on a game that is not my own opinion. Therefor if you are watching sponsored content on my channel you can be sure that all opinions offered therein are my own and true. Entertainment value is also important, so no sponsored video will simply be an advertisement for a game, product or service without me giving my unique take on it and creating a video that is overall pleasing for my fans to watch. Basically Ubisoft wanted me to preview the game and show off a few of its worlds using my own style, and I decided to turn it largely into a discussion about how the Mario and Rabbid worlds mesh nicely. I really enjoyed making it, so I hope you like it!

Usually the one thing that ruins crossovers is that they often feel one sided. Game A and Game B can crossover very well, but it's not as appealing when it feels more like Game A then it does Game B or vise versa.
With this game however, instead of trying to balance the feel if both games, they went another route to make it it's own thing. They took Game A and Game B to make Game C. It's not a Mario Game, and it's not a Rabbids Game. It is it's very own experience with balanced elements from both series.

I mean, sure, him and his son are the only parent/son combos Nintendo has who are instantly recognizable as parent and son, but if he wasn't wholesome, or couldn't be seen as being a good dad, I can't see them going for him as their Responsible Parent archetype for the animations and infographics for what the parental control app can do.

One thing I'm pleasantly surprised by about Arlo's videos is that the comments sections are actually pretty good most of the time because people are posting actual thoughts. From what I've seen, at least.

Probably the biggest turn around for a game I have ever seen. It really shouldn't work but somehow does.
From what I've noticed, the best cross-overs in video games are the ones that shouldn't work. Kingdom Hearts is another big example.
Hell, Smash Bros. was a HUGE risk; nobody at the time thought that Samus beating up Kirby could possibly work in a game.
It's the Pokemon Conquest for this generation.
Smash Bros was not a risk. The game was going to originally have unique characters, but they decided to use existing characters to make it more appealing.

Alot of people seems to be unable to look paste their biases against the game just because it has Rabbids in it-
LAMYRAL I do think this game looks really really good, I just dislike Rabbids. It's what turns me off from buying it, and would probably limit my enjoyment of the game

+Jonah DeWitt The Rabbids add their unique brand of surrealism and Three Stooges/Buster Keaton style of slapstick and visual humor. As shown, the game is filled with tons of visual gags that are so silly that they would only work best if the Rabbids were involved.

+Jonah DeWitt I wasn't comparing the Rabbids to The Three Stooges. I was stating that the humor that they used, in this case slapstick, is a lot like The Three Stooges in terms of how they approach it. It comes from the Rabbids having either conflicts with other characters, the objects around them, or themselves. There IS a difference between saying something is like or in a similar vein of something and actually comparing something to something else. How about taking the time to actually read and understand the comment instead of just glancing over it and responding first?
I hate that this game actually looks good, and I hate to support the rabbids and anything they're in, but I'm gonna get this game

I'll take a Mario tactical game. Why not? To me, it's just a Mario game with some new weird guests, since I've never payed attention to the Rabbids or Rayman.

This game looks surprisingly good. I still would have preferred Rayman instead of the Rabbids but it works I guess.

Zack154 That's an over assumption. I don't think Ubisoft hates Rayman. He's just not the Cash Cow the company was hoping for. Rayman Origins and Legends were well received but sold very poorly. Add the fact that Assassin's Creed and Just Dance are more popular Ubisoft franchises alongside Rabbids and you have a company that walks a fine line between EA and Konami.
Everyone is praising this game, I'm actually seriously considering purchasing it. Good on Ubisoft and Nintendo for coming together and creating such a weird and genius product.
I got mine early and there's just so much content and hidden things. There's also a bit of replayability in that you can replay the first world to unlock things you couldn't get before. I recommend it.
The Mario characters honestly contrast well with the Rabbids by being their straight man
I think I am one of the only 10 people on earth who liked the rabbits before this game
I mean, I liked rabbids *at one point* before this game. Back in Rayman Raving Rabbids they were evil little psycho goblins and that was all in all a pretty good fit. I just hate that since then they've basically become minions.
+Living_Floor Except unlike the Minions they aren't EVERYWHERE. Also, I think Rabbids Go Home is where they went from being psychos to just goofballs. And even then they were still entertaining due to their style of surrealism and physical comedy. I still like the characters and I even find their show entertaining in a Tom and Jerry or Three Stooges kind of way.

I always thought the main thing that makes Mario with funky guns not seem so out of place is because Smash Bros prepared everybody. Smash Bros. the series where it's ok for every Nintendo character to grab a gun item and blast the living daylights out of each other.

I gotta say, my favorite part of this game is the way Luigi walks. He doesn't walk like Mario or the other character or even the Rabbids, he's got that Luigi's Mansion stride going on and I love it

I'm one of the few that actually loves Rabbids but even I was initially taken aback when I saw this game. I'm happy to say it's the best tactical game i've played in quite some time. I also haven't smiled so much at a game in a long time. I hope this opens new doors for games not just on the switch but future nintendo consoles as well.

Actually, they seem to be less "annoying" and more "silly" in this game. They are annoying when they are do nothing but screaming, but they are actually funny and entertaining when they are doing surreal visual gags and physical comedy a la Three Stooges or Buster Keaton.

Am I the only one that notices that Luigi's default weapon is the poltergust, and that his "Steely Stare" is a reference to the "Death Stare" meme that is based around Luigi, and during when the ability is being used, he makes the death stare face.

This game looks really fun actually. I think the reason it's so appealing is because you can do so much in a turn. The opposite was kind of the reason I never got into fire emblem. It just wasn't involved enough for me and it felt too slow. But the struck the perfect balance in this Mario Rabbids game. Definitely gonna try it out.
