Imo this is a net positive. Aside from the reasons already mentioned , giving the player more ult mean more flexible and better flow For example, you can use qinyi hold basic>ult>hold basic instead of just sitting there waiting for the bar to fill up again, or soukaku ult into ellen instead of using skill 3 times. Does it improve kill time? Maybe, maybe not but does it feel good? Yes
Honestly I feel more incentive and interest in using more ults more often, which is more fun from visuals alone without even considering damage. It is a little more difficult to read character energy, but that's a growing pain I think.
theyve also adjusted enemy hp and daze bar to compensate for more ultimates thats why the clear times arent that different. All mobs are tankier now. I can say for sure cause i use solo Yanagi for all content except Tower and my clear times are slower than yesterday on the same stages.
Biggest change from my experience is the second rotation becomes much, much faster Getting to use Qingyi or Koleda's ult to massively chunk the stun gauge is amazing, and getting to jsed Lucy to battery Piper has been godsend
this change definitely change how seth works because holy now he's not just there to perfect assist but he can now help anomaly teams to proc more electric anomalies through his ult and charge attack combo more often
I wonder how this will effect (or affect?) The gamemodes where you carry over decibels between fights, since saving a support ult from one battle into another could allow your dps to clear faster if you plan it out right?
Oh i think i forgot that soukaku's ult gives full vortex buff maybe because i've only been using the main dps ult for most runs. This really gives more incentive to lvl and use ults more.
Personally I think the new ult system smooths out combat really nicely my favorite group so far was Burnice, Grace and Seth with Seth getting a fun new combo all eletric damage. The next I got to test was Soldier 11, Lighter and Caesar with trading off ult's from lighter and Caesar stunned Pompey in no time at all it was a blast. Then I noticed while I had new combos and abilities to use my clear times for both teams were about the same so I feel it was an equal trade off honestly just the combat had better flow overall. I'm really looking forward to testing my Zhu Yuan team and eventually Miyabi who's not built all I could do was get her this morning
My question is about burnice because I would always prioritize her ultimate just because it refreshes her gauge to apply that nice off field pyro damage. For long drawn out exchanges like the tower, damage isn’t always the priority so i often did a team like xingyi, Caesar, and burnice to plow through tower floors with low effort and I’d still have downtime on burnice because I played her mainly off field.
After playing with the new Ult system it's way better. There is almost no difference in gameplay, you get enough energy for all three characters by playing normally. Only bad thing is now I got to farm material for stunner and support it's! Lol
@themenace9681 You can't use the crouching shot cancel, the dodge for M2 cancel the crouching shot and using the Ex special and continue the normal attack in the stance don't work anymore
@@illastar then why don't they make it ben exclusive but no every character suffer.. Even with Ben it wouldn't have been a problem to begin with. It's plain censorship as whole cast can walk in open world now. It's worse than genshin now if we compare camera angles
As fun as having 3 ults is, I prefer how it was before. With 3 separate meters, I figured the decibel generation would have been slowed down more across the board. It feels pretty spammable in a bad way, this game did not need to get easier
wait, outsite of the hollow with gears that reduce its decibels minimum requirement? if so then i think its nice to use everyones ults and besides i think they nerfed some parts of it so its the same technical wise and only serves to make fighting cooler, like how 1 ult charges 1 parry meter; otherwise the hollow gear does 100% make it spammy with the right equipment but i feel thats the point of that mode, for fun.

And that team procs big disorder damage but that's dependent on how puts on the first anomaly(basically make sure it's anyone but lucy) but the comp would basically be stunning with whoever, Lucy ex for buff, burn with burnice then disorder with piper but the main issue was who was gonna do the ult becuase how big the the number is was kinda dependent on who did the ult but now it doesn't matter, making it easier to proc. Same with anby,nicole,nekomata I'm not sure how yet becuase I'm still new to that team but it does help somehow.

Same here, sitting on the stun ultimates really helps push the second dps window forward or AT LEAST it feels that way

when you're high level, there are characters that never get to use their ults, mostly being support characters,

Why having ults on other characters if you will only use DPS one. Stick your head out of the dirt, wash your eyes and then comeback.
