I honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy this game as much as I have, since my only history with Hoyo was Genshin, which was just a chore that never felt rewarding. ZZZ has become my most played game now, and I've got nothing but hope for the future
If Genshin refuses to change the thing that made it no longer fun to play, I could install GI for Mavuika and get fed up with it in under a week. Because I've done the same for Nahida and Furina, not to mention other names I've forgotten.

People like to throw shade at it by calling it a gooner game but it's the best hoyo game right now (devs actually listen!) and it's only been like 5-6 months. I hope the devs never change and continue giving, it gives me an incentive to spend happily tbh.
without glazing or bias (which is impossible lol), id honestly say that zenless is a game that has so many comfortable, solid mechanics and features that are missing from any one single game. farming feels quick, "missing out" on content doesn't feel punishing if your only goal is to claim weekly rewards for pulls, and the dailies are the fastest in the market BY FAR. i know there's been a lot of controversy around the game regarding tv's, certain difficulty of fights, etc., but since hoyoverse has begun this insane streak of listening carefully and pursuing improvements with every single patch, it's actually become HARD to point out what's bad about the game. i truly do feel bad that the game had such an awkward start with everyone hating the tv system but loving the character designs/atmosphere/combat. but at the end of the day, what will keep/convince people to try the game again is consistent good updates and them listening to their community. big W to hoyoverse for Zenless, no glaze intended (i am lying)
@cannaaaa as a ZZZ enjoyer, there is absolutely problems with the game. Character progression is definitely one of them, which you so quickly hand waved away. Just simply getting your character up to level in ZZZ is by far the most brutal in the usual Mihoyo line up (GI, HSR, hell let's even throw in Kuro's WuWa since it's basically an alternate genshin) with not only the insane experience needed to get to 50 to 60 (which unlike Genshin is a requirement for all characters because of core passive being level locked), needing not 1 but 2 separate boss materials for any given character, factor in the skill materials and the high Denny cost of all of them gers pretty high for a single character. Now multiply that by 9 for the new mode. Yeeeeeeeah But that's not the only reason, combat is rather.. simple. To a fault imo. At least Genshin has elemental reactions and WuWa has Forte circuit and intro/outro skills. There's nothing close with that in ZZZ. Closest thing is addiontional abilities but that's more of a checklist for a team than something to play around. And not to mention how the game's gacha had been turning out too. Almost every single non-support A rank is severely lacking in power. (Yes, I see you 'But my M6 Billy solo' commenters, M6 Billy I'd a solo beast. M0 Billy is not. M6 Anton is not. M6 Corin is not. M6 Billy is an exception that proves the rule( and they seemingly are allergic to giving us more A ranks since the only new A rank is Seth. By comparison, Genshin by 1.4 has made 3 4 stars (Diona, Xinyan and Rosaria) and HSR has given also given us 4 4 stars (Yukong, Luka, Lynx, Guinifen) Like I said, I enjoy ZZZ and I play it the most out of everything else. But there are still underlying problems with the game that should be acknowledged.
@ to be honest, while I agree that certain aspects could be improved, much of what you listed sounds more like things that get fixed after spending more than a week on the game. Investing in characters compared to most other gachas is objectively easier simply given the free coffee + ability to farm weekly materials MORE THAN ONCE A WEEK. Beyond this, if you even compare the state of character leveling in a game like Wuthering Waves to Zenless, even trying to upgrade a character’s skills beyond a certain point would require ADDITIONAL boss materials that takes longer to farm out for. In regards to Combat, while I understand that some people want the insane difficulty of something like PGR/WuWa or for some reason REALLY want the element mixing of Genshin, I find Zenless’s different game modes and recent changes to Decibels to be equally enjoyable. Not every person NEEDS to break their arms, wrists and mental to beat a boss. That being said, attempting a lot of the end game content WITHOUT any indicators and without certain characters makes the game WAY more difficult. Case in point, try beating every stage in tower without any defensive agents or without Avocadoboo. It’s not impossible, but by no means would I call it “simple” or even uninteresting. I should clarify my original point to say that I didn’t believe ZZZ was free of issues, but I do think it’s on a good path!
Yeah, i always used to play genshin since 2.5, wuwa since launch and zzz since launch. Genshin has been my favourite untill zzz got to 1.2, the story is so different from most other action gacha games. Which is great, 1.4 might be the best story quest i have seen in quite a while in any game. The combat is amazing as well, its becoming more challenging with the newer bosses being more mobile and agressive then the past ones
I am not a gacha fan, but Zenless has been a sort of comfort game for me since July. Very rarely does my attention get captured like this. It has good story, characters, music, worldbuilding, combat, and so much more. Honestly, we can call 1.0 what it was: a rough launch with potential. Now? It’s got so much more momentum, I feel we may just be getting started.
Best hoyo game right now without a doubt, also pretty generous with rewards, I spend everything on Miyabi day one , and I have already 8,5k poly and like 20 pulls
I agree, I spent everything I had on Miyabi and her sig as soon as she became available, like 120 pulls probably more, it's been a week and now I have another 70-80 pulls, I don't even know where they came from, the amount of poly they gave us in this version is insane.
I was saving during Lighter and have been grinding a lot to get Miyabi. I finally got her 170 pulls later 😓. Think I can get her W Engine still at least but I'm pretty tired of grinding, Miyabi was worth it though

So I have heard, Ellen will be coming back as a second banner when Astra Yao is out... I didn't start playing until Caesar, and I was quite upset that I missed Jane Doe when I found out I loved this game. At this rate, if they are doing sequential monthly reruns, I might see Jane sooner than I thought! For her gameplay. That is why I want her. The gameplay.

Alright so essentially this is my hope too. This also lines up with hoyos typical timeline for releasing reruns. It's always about 6 - 7 months from release.
I was a bit ambivalent about ZZZ on release, as the tv mode was a real chore to get through. It's amazing how much the developers listened to player feedback though, and the latest version has become my favourite gacha game by a wide margin. I think the strongest aspect of ZZZ is the cast of interesting and memorable characters. Seeing all the factions teaming up to fight the current end boss in the story was like the Avengers. It was very cool and cinematic. Everything from the combat, the story, the minigames, as well as all the QoL improvements have all been great. I hope it gets even better in 2025!
It's crazy how much the devs are listenning and how fast they have been adding stuff based of feedback so far. i don't i could even list it all. Ability to walk around town with owned characters , easier access to weekly boss mats , less tv mode in story , being able to ult with every characters instead of just 1 , more energy cap, tons of QoL features ... i can't even remember it all
The lost void is so ez to farm when you realize you can lvl more then one gear to 3. Getting 5 completed in 1 run made it so quick and helped me get the last polychromes needed for m1 miyabi
I started the game 3 days before Yanagi ended, didn't manage to get her, but she's really my favourite character after using some demos of her. I really don't have enough characters now to even get 2 stars out of this, my only actual paid character is Miyabi right now. Hopefully I'll be able to clear it in the near future. My favourite Hoyo game yet, it was very reminiscent of HI3rd
Deadly assault can be attributed to another hoyo game,honkai impact 3 Memorial arena. It's practically the Memorial arena with a single difference is that you can reset your setup for different teams in exchange for clear rotation grade(you still get the already cleared rewards) and it's a one time boss rush where it's just a one time fight where in honkai MA once you clear it,the team is locked to the boss and there's a clear stage manually if you didn't do last weeks SSS rank or didn't do until SS.
If people really like lost void game mode, then they should try wuthering waves’s depth of illusive realm. That game mode combines the hollow zero and lost void together and it applies to all characters I love that ZZZ implemented something like that too. Massive W and hopefully it will encourage WuWa to get better as well
As a weekly gamemode, Lost Void has been my favorite by a large margin. It's not as random as SimU or DivU, but the content is WAY MORE challenging, even at Diff. V with no modifiers.

Bringer is the only boss i have problem with, despite ellen(m0w1) and lycaon(m3w1) is my strongest min-max agent, because the anomaly buff doesnt align much with ellen. I barely reach 20k points after several tries since i havent got miyabi that time. Pompei the eziest one as burnice lucy piper combo works so freaking well, and the new ult mechanic makes lucy ult recover energy for burnice. Eziest 30k points
even tho i like deadly assault there is one change i would like to see to make it more appealing to f2p players - since of right now the mode is a big "team check" - if you have the right teams to fulfill whatever the stage wants you to do it is quite easy, if you don't good luck. therefore i would like if they handled the scoring like in HSR's endgame modes. so instead of having to 2 or 3 star everything and hit 14k or 20k individually on each boss give rewards based on the total score. like 60k to get 9 stars and if you have a team that can clear boss 1 with 30k you only need 15k clears on the other 2 bosses.. like e.g. in shiyu defense as well where your 1 minute team A clear can give your weaker team B 4 minutes to get stuff done. would be much fairer to f2p players, instead of forcing them to have 3 well build teams that also play into the stage weaknesses and buffs after barely 6 months and 4 patches in game but hey at the end of the day it will get easier for most people when their roster grows - so dont come at me, i am not saying this is a change that has to happen, only that it would most likely feel better for many f2p players

As much as I love deadly assault, it’s gonna end up being realllyyyy skewed until new booses come out. The current boss lineup (in notorious hunt) has 3/5 weak to ice and 3/5 weak to ether and the only other boss I could see them throwing in next rotation would be thoracian who’s also weak to ice. The only other options would maybe be the fire versions of dullahan/Thanatos/hati but even those feel more like elite enemies than bosses since that’s what they’re based off. While miyabi is a broken character she’s only gonna feel more broken in this gamemode since it’s essentially a guarantee that ice weakness is on at minimum one boss until we get more bosses with different weaknesses
lost void is similar to HI3's Elysian Realm, and Deadly Assault is HI3's Memorial Arena., the skping lvls at Shiyu also the same with HI3, also deleting old videos again is like HI3., and the designs reminds me alot to HI3 part 1.... ZZZ is closer to HI3 than HSR crap
The fading out thing genuinely isn't a huge deal. You have to be literally zoomed as high as you can be into the characters before the fading starts. There's 0 point to looking up the character's ass in a fighting/action game.
4:23 Cool, I guess I could solo with Nicole on that last team, lol. I literally cleared Shiyu Critical 7 with an S rank for the first time yesterday after playing for 4 months. I look forward to Deadly assault resetting like 5 times so I eventually have a lineup that can survive.
I think when the game ends or story is finally done, no further development, but still little events here and there is okay. So, when the game finally ends they should like make the whole world and entire map, we can walk through different routes, little sighting, full open world experience. Like connect different cities and locations.
Marionette is child's play for my Ellen/Lighter/Soukaku team while Pompey is easily doable with jane/Burnice/Lucy. Bringer is the problem for me i have E0S0 Miyabi (did a 10 pull and got her at 16 pity don't plan to build her out since i have Ellen) Now that 3 teams are a thing i am building up my Zhu Yuan/Ceasar/Nicole team but i am not sure if they are the correct ones to handle him since i'd need anomaly... But he resists Physical so Jane is also screwed XD Maybe i can switch it around and use Zhu yuan for the marionette and Ellen for Bringer... won't get 3 stars i think but at the least 1 or 2 should work
am so happy that this game mode needs you to have 3 team comps. I was literally just finished with my Ellen/Lighter/Soukaku and Jane/Burnice/Lucy teams. Now i have a reason to build out my Zhu yuan/Ceasar/Nicole team XD
As a casual player Deadly Assault feels way worse than everything else that came out. It may just be me but idk how the hell most people would even hit 14k points let alone 20k but I don't go crazy trying for c6 perfect builds which is what it feels like this mode is geared towards.
to be transparent, i do think that deadly assault is more end game focused, but i do think that since it's a recurring gamemode, in due time we will have enough characters/teams that can handle it! that being said, completing pompey without burnice or soldier seems really tough!
I just hoping they rise the reward to motivate more. Me as skill issue player just clear with bare minimum point like 1star/boss and will ignore it hahaha, not missing much poly like shiyu
Miyabi can easily get 3 stars and the other 2 teams only need the rest 3 stars and you will get full reward. At the end, it's a end game content, not casual content, you need to have a good build, not just random bullshit to go

so instead of having to 2 or 3 star everything and hit 14k or 20k individually on each boss give rewards based on the total score. like 60k to get 9 stars and if you have a team that can clear boss 1 with 30k you only need 15k clears on the other 2 bosses.. like e.g. in shiyu defense as well where your 1 minute team A clear can give your weaker team B 4 minutes to get stuff done. would be much fairer to f2p players, instead of forcing them to have 3 well build teams that also play into the stage weaknesses and buffs after barely 6 months and 4 patches in game
but hey at the end of the day it will get easier for most people when their roster grows - so dont come at me, i am not saying this is a change that has to happen, only that it would most likely feel better for many f2p players

And I also maxed leveled her the moment I got her which was day one of her release and her w engine at the same time
As much as I love deadly assault, it’s gonna end up being realllyyyy skewed until new booses come out. The current boss lineup (in notorious hunt) has 3/5 weak to ice and 3/5 weak to ether and the only other boss I could see them throwing in next rotation would be thoracian who’s also weak to ice. The only other options would maybe be the fire versions of dullahan/Thanatos/hati but even those feel more like elite enemies than bosses since that’s what they’re based off. While miyabi is a broken character she’s only gonna feel more broken in this gamemode since it’s essentially a guarantee that ice weakness is on at minimum one boss until we get more bosses with different weaknesses
Apparently changing your settings to challenge mode actually makes the fights harder on Deadly Assault.
Nah challenge mode only effects combat commissions
lost void is similar to HI3's Elysian Realm, and Deadly Assault is HI3's Memorial Arena., the skping lvls at Shiyu also the same with HI3, also deleting old videos again is like HI3., and the designs reminds me alot to HI3 part 1.... ZZZ is closer to HI3 than HSR crap
Devs listened half... the fading out thinghy has been only mitigated, it was a meant modification not a bug.
The fading out thing genuinely isn't a huge deal. You have to be literally zoomed as high as you can be into the characters before the fading starts. There's 0 point to looking up the character's ass in a fighting/action game.
4:23 Cool, I guess I could solo with Nicole on that last team, lol. I literally cleared Shiyu Critical 7 with an S rank for the first time yesterday after playing for 4 months. I look forward to Deadly assault resetting like 5 times so I eventually have a lineup that can survive.
Deadly assault is impossible if you didn't start playing since day one, it's ridiculous
you actually still need to lock in with s11, mine is built pretty well but it's an anomaly check and she's a crit dps

Lost Void is probably my most favourite mode right now. i really dont like hollow zero, and this just makes it better

I think when the game ends or story is finally done, no further development, but still little events here and there is okay. So, when the game finally ends they should like make the whole world and entire map, we can walk through different routes, little sighting, full open world experience. Like connect different cities and locations.

Marionette is child's play for my Ellen/Lighter/Soukaku team while Pompey is easily doable with jane/Burnice/Lucy. Bringer is the problem for me i have E0S0 Miyabi (did a 10 pull and got her at 16 pity don't plan to build her out since i have Ellen) Now that 3 teams are a thing i am building up my Zhu Yuan/Ceasar/Nicole team but i am not sure if they are the correct ones to handle him since i'd need anomaly... But he resists Physical so Jane is also screwed XD
Maybe i can switch it around and use Zhu yuan for the marionette and Ellen for Bringer... won't get 3 stars i think but at the least 1 or 2 should work

As a casual player Deadly Assault feels way worse than everything else that came out. It may just be me but idk how the hell most people would even hit 14k points let alone 20k but I don't go crazy trying for c6 perfect builds which is what it feels like this mode is geared towards.
to be transparent, i do think that deadly assault is more end game focused, but i do think that since it's a recurring gamemode, in due time we will have enough characters/teams that can handle it! that being said, completing pompey without burnice or soldier seems really tough!
I just hoping they rise the reward to motivate more. Me as skill issue player just clear with bare minimum point like 1star/boss and will ignore it hahaha, not missing much poly like shiyu
C6 perfect build is a stretch. Im doing fine with piper, lucy, anby and other 4 stars and/or standard 5 stars.

Miyabi can easily get 3 stars and the other 2 teams only need the rest 3 stars and you will get full reward. At the end, it's a end game content, not casual content, you need to have a good build, not just random bullshit to go
