- From the website NZOnScreen: ""Another adventure with Tim" is how one of Tim Wallis’ friends wryly puts it. The "adventure" came about when Wallis combined an “expensive toy”, and a noxious pest: using helicopters to recover deer shot by hunters in inaccessible South Island backblocks. Next deer were captured alive, to stock deer farms; a multi-million dollar industry was born. At the peak of his operations, Wallis had a fleet of 35 helicopters. The aerial shots in and around Milford Sound are magnificent. The stories he tells of his many crashes are 'she'll be right' Boy's Own classics."
This was recorded from New Zealand television by my mother in the late 1980s and has been transferred from VHS so please excuse any audio or video quality issues.

Sir Tim Wallis - genius. What Sir Edmund Hillary was to mountain climbing & in particular Mt Everest, Sir Tim Wallis is exactly the same to aviation, helicopters and in particular live deer recovery in one of the most rugged environments in the world; the South Island backblocks. Or the mainland. Sir Tim Wallis you are an utter visionary who put your plans in to action and succeeded where many others failed. You are a real hero.
The first humans in all our history to hunt from the air as a living.

A legend,,, r i p., This should be shown in schools as a roll model for young men and women, as to what can be done with some motivation. As opposed to the crap they are taught nowdays.
Please produce the evidence to substantiate your claim that crap is being taught in schools. Could you please also provide evidence of your credentials for me to ascertain as to whether you know what you are talking about, and as to whether I should give your comment any credence.
