Yeah, we'll have to get back to the Nahatlatch again soon. The roads were severely damaged during the flooding last Fall and I'm not sure how much of it is open again yet.
I agree 100%! Unfortunately it was within the boundaries of a Provincial Park, so drones aren't technically allowed. Even though it's literally in the middle of nowhere with no other people around! Kind of unfortunate that drones aren't allowed so many places now, but I understand a lot of people don't like the noise. To be fair, they can be pretty loud. In any case, we'll just have to search out more waterfalls that aren't in "no drone zones". 😀
Beautiful waterfall, awesome rugged roads and a bear! We enjoyed this fantastic adventure! We've joined your journey and look forward to following along!
We were there on Friday and made that same wrong turn because if google. Tons of down trees along that path now as well. Luckily we found another map that showed us the long way around to get there
Glad you got there in the end. We haven't been down there since this video, but heard there was lots of damage after the flooding and fires the last couple of years. ☹️
@@HomeARoam there’s a wash out at Km 21 but it’s not too bad at all to get through if you have a bit of ground clearance. Was a ton of fallen trees but somebody had already come through and cut them to give room to drive by. The route you walked through to the dead end that is littered with fallen trees, that was our sign it wasn’t the right way because someone else had just gone the week before and was clear for them
👍Yeah, you're right. It would be possible in a smaller 2WD car, but I guess it depends on how skilled and adventurous you are. Some of the potholes are pretty big and you could land yourself in some trouble. 😁
@@HomeARoam all black bears this year. One was stalking us on the hike to Grassy lake. We drove 5000km all over Alberta this summer and every corner of the province we encountered Bears.
Nice. Beautiful.
Loved that waterfall! And the bear was the cherry on top 😀
So beautiful!! That cinnamon bear was stunning! And the waterfall was so unexpected and epic! Love your bloopers 😂
Thanks 😀 Yes, not a grizzly 😅 but such a beautiful bear. One day we'll make it over to see the spirit bears (white black bears) 🤞
@@HomeARoam the spirit bears are on my list too! We were so close in Bella Coola when we saw the grizzlies!
Your adventure is so great but stay safe
Thanks 🙏 Luckily we have the super planner and organizer on our team (Jay) to keep us all safe.
Wonderful video , the falls are nice. Glad you got to see a bear. Thumbs up 👍
Thanks! We were pretty excited to see the bear (as you can tell). It's always fun to see animals in the wild :-)
Great job,very nice😃✌️...
Thanks for watching and taking time to comment. We love that waterfall 💦
Awesome video Mel and Jay! I laughed so hard at the “nature fail” at 4:42. Looks like a beautiful area.

Unfortunately can’t get there as the road is washed out to the campgrounds and the falls!! Bummer!!!
Let’s hope it opens again someday!!
What a shame. Hopefully the roads will be repaired by next year. It's such a cool waterfall and there are hiking trails and camping around there, too.
Jay, a drone shot of the falls would have been amazing!

Thanks for coming along and we look forward to seeing more of your videos, too.

We camped where you saw the bear. Go up to the lookout if you want to see grizzlies.
Thanks for the tip. Did you see some grizzlies at the lookout? How many?
wow thats such a glorious landscape, such amazing place to explore! I love the deep colours 😍 beautifully shot by you my friend!
Hi, thanks so much 😀 It's definitely a beautiful and (fairly) secluded area to explore. Thanks for coming along 👍
What is the name of the Lake . Thanks for the vid.
It's called Nahatlatch lake
Great video but that's a cinnamon coloured black bear 🥸
Yup, we were so embarrassed when the people camping next to the bridge told us 😅 We have a good laugh about it now.
Nice waterfall. We ran into 5 bear encounters this summer. I almost ran one over with my car. Footage will be coming for that.
Wow, glad you didn't hit it with your car! Crazy. What kinds of bears did you see?

That's so wonderful to see these beautiful creatures out and about!
