I'll Beat Hustlers:
Ill Beat Hustlers were formed in the golden summer of 2005 by Alex Marsh and Graham Hennessy.
Graham is well known on the London music scene as a musician and composer, specialising in drums and percussion, having worked with top selling artists such as Des'ree , D:Ream, Boy George and Zoe, as well as former live collaborations with ground breaking dance crossover acts such as Comanche Park.
Alex is a much sought after house producer and accomplished multi musician, with numerous projects under his belt including producing the large club anthem "Something" under his Silosonic alias. He has also remixed a whole host of UK dance acts including the Shapeshifters.
"All I Need" is their debut release together, it pulls on the nostalgia of two melodies which have inspired us all, namely the theme from Hill Street Blues coupled with "Dont Know Much" (Mann/Snow & Weil).
Originally it was a classic bootleg, a DJ friendly mash up of the two records. The boys pressed up some white labels and as they flew out of the shops Lowered Recordings tracked them down. The track was then re-recorded entirely in the Ill Beat studio and the legendary UK vocalist and soulster Andy Caine was enlisted to re-sing the classic lines of "Dont Know Much" onto "All I Need".
