Anne Robinson hosts the elimination quiz where nine people compete to win up to £10,000. Eight players leave with nothing as each in turn is voted the "weakest link" by their team mates.

I'm watching this like it was yesterday. I can't believe how quick time flies. Eileen is around 90 and the 20 year old is now 40. Time waits for no one :'(

VERY satisfying episode! For once they played fairly and voted off whoever was the weakest link in that round - in EVERY round. It was also nice seeing my favorite win, haha.
I was really hoping the final two would be Alf and Heather though.
If there's one change I wanted to see, it's that the strongest link in each round should be immune from the vote.

@@reubenmanzo2054 If there's a tie in the voting, then the strongest link has to decide who goes. If the strongest link is in the tie, they are immune from the vote

I Love Game Shows and The Weakest Link is one of my Favorites Ones.

It is actually 24 years ago as The Weakest Link began broadcasting in August 2000
this is one of the few episodes where they actually vote off the weakest one in each round

I'll never understand how players on these shows didn't say "bank" when a question came to them w/only 3 to 4 seconds left. They'd surely get my vote.
They might not know. You have to listen to and answer questions, keep track of everyone's answer and track time. It's easy to lose track

i was kinda shocked Alf didnt know pokemon but i guess it makes sense considering the time Alf was around and when Pokemon first aired (i believe it would be 3 years at that point)

Heathers questions were a lot easier.
I am from Germany, where this show was a flop, although the host imitated a lot Anne Robinson. But probably because of that, for being mean and arrogant to the candidates, i guess that show failed.
