I play gigs every week on this thing and get paid money for it. Starlight, macbook, and headphones in a bag and I'm out the door. Even when I bring my Serato DVS setup out, I always keep this as a backup - broke a needle in the middle of a set and ended up finishing a gig with this.
I took a gamble on a Hercules Mk2 out of Kays catalogue back in the and took it on the road to America with me. There were 2 people in the whole city DJ'n like that and I was one of them. Took loads of stick but the fact I can mix on anything got me out of it. Seems I was a bit ahead of my time :) Great channel I'm subbed
Hi fella, the browse option you can achieve by holding pad 1 or shift (can't recall) and jogwheel 1, the jogwheel becomes your cursor (well thought hercules) I can tell u 1 bad (or missing) thing about this tiny thing, filters besides bass not present...
no.. Serato and Djay need to get their arse in gear. Djay works via bluetooth to the Hercules Mix (but not cable) I never understand these marketing tactics
@@crnkmnkyNo. Starlight doesn't have Bluetooth. There's a Bluetooth version of the DJ Starlight called the DJControl Mix. That one is specially designed to work with the djay app on smartphones.
Incredible video man! 🔥 good work. I’m 16 and trying to get out there, I’m very good at dj’ing!

Chad?
Was wondering how it would be for gigs and how the sound output was. I suppose best for house parties and smaller venues?
@@sobeyone I would recommend using a small external mixer with the Hercules.
@@Mikey5-O Thanks, is that to get better sound output particularly?
@@sobeyone yes as well as giving you the ability to EQ each channel.

@@kristonrenshaw931 If Starlight works with Djay via Bluetooth, isn't the answer _Yes?_
