I use Traktor and an S4 mk3…. I love it and I can’t ever see myself moving away from Traktor unless absolutely forced to…. BUT. I decided just my phone and Spotify are not a good enough backup option if the MacBook takes a fall or somebody throws a drink over my controller…. So I’ve gone for the DJ2Go Touch. It was a difficult choice because I actually like the look of the Hercules more and I really would prefer the bass / filter control… but as a purely backup solution to a ‘professional’ setup, I imagined the situation I’d be in if I was ever required to use it. I’d probably be suffering from a ‘mild’ panic attack and under a lot of pressure. Perhaps to DJ for the remaining 4 hours of a wedding etc. So being able to browse and load tracks from the controller is a HUGE bonus for the Numark and ultimately what made my decision. I personally think the Hercules looks more fun and I’d prefer it for actual DJ ‘performance’ but in my case, if this thing has to come out of the bag it’ll be because something has gone VERY wrong and my priority will be track selection and keeping the dance floor full… not technical mixing.
Hi, planning to get ghe Dj2go2. I have a question though: If i connect the Dj2go2 to serato (the intended pc software), would i be able to use an Atom SQ in tandem with it? I intend to map an EQ and some sound effects on to it. The idea is to basically build a bit of a scuffed DJ setup for cheap. It is a MIDI controller so.. I don't see why it wouldn't work?
Is it possible to power the Hercules by plugging the USB-C cable directly into the iPad? That way, you wouldn’t need to bring a separate charging block.
I don’t think the Newmark is as versatile as the Hercules only because it features more mixer knobs. For me my mixes really take place in the ‘mixer’ not necessarily the effects of samples but all has flavor according to your mixing style. for example if you choose the new mark you may not need the bass knob but it really does handle well in some mixes if you know what I mean: coming from a vinyl rotary Dj.
You are the number one 🎉🎉🎉

Justin, do you actually use these controllers for your gigs?
I always keep my Numark dj2go2 touch as a backup, the Hercules controllers I just use at home or for small family events
