this era evrybody wants to go back to simply never existed. It's our heart that created it as a place we would like to live in forever. The only thing we can do as humans is fight to create this place of love freedom and hapiness. Don't let the bad get to you or your dream will fade out with your sins: we want good souls
oh man the good old 90's .... good, real music, and everyone just having fun with life, unlike now, everyone is greedy, everyone is anti-social even in close quarters like an elevator, everyone judges, back then, you can dance how u want and people would cheer you on... the world is falling apart
i was chillin on a cruise ship a few years ago with my friends. there was a club and this song was a HIT. this song will always remember me that trip. nice.
TOP TUNE!!!!!! 5 Starz to the one like Armand Van Helden!! Top producer indeed, channeling the best of hip-hop visual style with disco-based slammin house tracks!! This is IT right here!!
@@ladycroft1151 Legit question - what does the sweating emoji mean? I see people use it after a statement scenario like the one you engaged in, but I still don't always have a good handle on it. For instance, I saw someone post a picture of themselves and someone's comment was the nervous/sweating emoji...what can it mean?
(2007) Hey man so prety cool this song...Please bluetooth me this song..😍😍😍 (2020) Man...im still listening this song on youtube,, Who are still listerning this song in corona virus situation lockdown?? #FromItaly❤
This bring back good memories... I love when the gay guys are dancing.... What happen to the good times. Nobody wants to hangout together everyone just want to shoot and hate on each other.
Me all day....I'm 40 now and wish for these days again I tell all my kids you haven't a clue!!!Best days no social media, real friends, people actually spoke
Amazing how Armand van Helden actually left most parts he used of the original 'Do you want it right now' from Siedah Garrett unaltered, but suceeded in creating a whole new vibe with this song.
I went thru so many comments yet I see no one realized this isn't Armand's original song? We breakdanced to this in the 80s, peep the original "Do U want it Right now" by songwriter extraordinaire and singer Siedah Garrett, she sang and made this hit in 1985. Gotta put y'all in check. Still a nice remake tho ❤
The entire Ghettoblaster album was Armand paying homage to this era of music in which he grew up anyways. Garrett and all artists sampled are credited.
I actually think the video has hidden meaning. Watch the start, he buys the boom box off the guy and the girls are laughing at the guy's nostalgia after seeing the boom box, and then he switches the music on and everybody joins him in a celebration of the 80s/90s sound, showing that everybody is just as nostalgic as he is. We all miss the 80s and 90s. Especially Van Helden so it seems. Those were good times. :(
I agree. I see all the 1992 images in this video, and obviously see a couple of hairstyles and other style items that make one think of the early '90s, but feel like most of the video in terms of the clothes, the dancing, and the culture being shown is more 1984. 1984. The height of the whole whole b-boy pop culture thing. And yeah, the song Armand sampled was from 1985. I just remember if I looked at EDM culture in 1992, it was basically the real explosion of the rave scene in the USA. We didn't even get to the point of candy bracelets or any of that stuff. Just people going out and dancing to techno music. In terms of hip hop culture, it was the tail end of the whole Afrocentric thing and all the bright colors, right before the chronic came out and suddenly everything became about gangster rap. I love this song and the video, but I have to agree that none of it strikes me as '90s.
90's should have never ended anyways...
Fuck that was a weird but accurate comment.
❤
Best decade of all time!
