My grandmother who was from Orr, Ky a very small community outside of Grayson always said "If you take something out of a cemetery you will bring something back"....I will not even take a flower out of a cemetery because of what she said!
Elzena most likely was struck with a guilty conscience from having stolen from the dead, and it sent her to her grave earlier than anyone expected...all for a cemetery christmas tree. Has a creepy sound to it. Reminds me of some urbex explorers who rob things from abandoned homes, and even will steal wrought iron cemetery gates and sell them on ebay. Instant karma gets them. Stealing from the dead is about as low as anyone can go. Good stories. THanks
There's a story on another TH-cam channel faces of the forgotten. About finding a Ouija board in a graveyard and taking it home and had a lot of horrible bad luck until it was burned. The sad part about it from a legal point of view graveyards are not very well protected within our legal system, and sadly in one state grave robbery is still not considered a serious crime. If you look at the case in Wisconsin of the grave robber that inspired many of the Texas chainsaw massacre movies. The original Leatherface to say the least. If you will read all of his trial depositions he was only convicted of two counts of first degree murder. And then you look at all of the evidence that was recovered from his house and his own confession about digging up bodies from local graves yards. Then you had the case in 1988 of three young people in there early 20,s that was caught red-handed by law enforcement attempting to dig up a grave of a young woman and then confessed to the the sick purposes that they had in mind, all they got was probation n a small fine, but if you get caught digging in a national battlefield civil war graveyard you will face years in prison and many many dollars in fines,
My son and I saw a dead confederate soldier at Gettysburg at the wheat field at night. Stared at us and looked confused and was all ragged and beat up dirty. Out in the middle of the wheat field and when we look back he was gone. It was just getting dark. No reason to lie. This is true.
You never take anything out of a cemetery or from the dead's resting place that is disrespectful and very wrong. You did a amazing job on the stories and research❤
Loved it Heather. Sure I love to hear more. But how did they bury him with her 😮. The gravestone. Flippo. So sad for the bride. He jumped too but she still looks for him. 😢
Very good Heather. You've got a very pleasing voice, that makes you an excellent storyteller. I really enjoy hearing both you and Leo, youre both gifted storytellers. God bless ya'll, young lady. Stay safe out there getting these stories.
