I saw this on tv a few years back and fell in love with john shuttlewroth instantly.Seen him a few times live in Manchester he is superb.Cant belive I only discovered him so recent. His humour is right up my street.
"no John, you're no southern softie!" classic! The new song at the end has a nice jaunty rythm, recalling the classic days of Rick Astley no doubt! Could there be anything worse??!
would swear that the mysrible man at 3:35 is related to the mysrible old woman in the old peoples home from 'it's nice up north' they have the exact same face
well actually i can tell you it's not the B&H...i went to see the film in York on Monday, afterwards there was a Q&A session with Graham Fellows and I actually asked him this! He said Joan's voice is done and then pitch is changed to make it higher - he hadn't had time to do it for the trailer!! By the way the film is excellent - much better than It's Nice up North imo !! cheers
If I wasn't about to give birth I'd go to a showing, as is Ill have to wait til it comes on DVD :( BTW If you like John you'll like Radio Thax -check out his channel on here

We are glad you've joined us.
Exactly like James Bond`s Aston Martin DB5 and the Batmobile, John`s Austin Ambassador has achieved iconic status. (Alright, I`ve got one too).
Joan is my fav character of his repertoire! Oh Joan...!
Did you see how john just got up and walked away from that nasty fall. He's definetly hard. Hope you haven't got a bruise.
You're right John, we are soft down south, I was just saying the same thing to my Vera.
This film looks epic!

Ooof!! Great film...
Joan's voice always cracks me up, there really are women that speak like that -think they all smoked 50 a day since they were 12.
...by chance will it be available in the RCA SelectaVision VideoDisc format in time for Christmas?
This one appears to be a keeper....
Aye, it's reet nice like, oop ear in't north, in't it Petunia?
i don't know if it is softer down south, where i live people keep getting stabbed or thrown out of 2-story buildings.
I am sure that John being an Englishman (and a northern one at that) would correctly call it a "film" and not a "movie".
Why isn't it showing down in my parts? Dorset? Can't get much softer than that!
Has Joan got a new budgie yet ?

Fabulous x

She sounds to have gotten even deeper now though! Better cut down on the Benson & Hedges I think...
was that peter cornelius narrating, ..or joan
Where can I see it in Los Angeles?
Can't wait! will it be out on VHS by christmas?
it's harder up north
Its a shame Ken can't be in the films too! Not the same without him.
Is that Peter Cornelius narrating?

Where's 'Ken"?
Ken goes missing yet again! Oof!
Looks like its going to be another corker. Weh-hey!!
Cor damme la! It's bloney John Gollop!
Look's like his budgie's been shot, lmao, i think John is just a little too subtle for some, he's great though.
OOOF!!
People get less tolerant and more miserable the further north you go
How can you be a 'professional' northerner?
There's no way Ken scaled that child safety barrier, I'm not buying it. Had to be a stunt double
