Well, Daichi did say that even though Nishinoya is very skilled, the coordinators of the training camp were probably looking for more well-rounded and (he emphasized this) mature players which Daichi thought Nishinoya wasn't able to showcase consistently (I'm guessing). I would've liked it too if he got invited

i think it was more due to the fact he got suspended and hes less mature skill wise he had easy potential to be national level that and noya doesnt have a passion for volleyball like that as much as just challenging himself so idk if he would want to pursue it regardless

To me, he's one of the best characters in the story, not the most likeable, but one of the most impactful. And the fact that you don't like him is proof enough, he opposes Hinata with everything he can, to try to hide from the fact that he could've been like Hinata too. Also, even after all of that. You _will_ come to like him if you finish the story.
No one talks about how smooth animated this scene was. Not only Noya’s save. Just look at Asahi’s celebration he looks so real like an actual voleyball player.

Becoming the best volleyball player ever was never his passion: being the coolest guy ever was. And I guess he decided that "being a pro volleyball player might be cool. . . but getting to say I've traveled all around the world and done weird jobs like fishing for marlins is even cooler!"
He's not a volleyball idiot like Hinata or Kageyama. Sure he likes volleyball, but he would much rather quit volleyball than succeed without Asahi on the team. He cares for the experience of being with his friends more than he cares about volleyball as a sport. Going pro would have probably been the first that comes to mind when thinking of Nishinoya's future career but traveling the world just fits Nishinoya's fearless and carefree character.
I keep rewatching Haikyuu and every time it never fails to give me goosebumps, hearts attack or make me cry, etc. But I wish I could erase it from my head and watch like the first time again 😭

What is even more mindblowing ? The fact that Kageyama was still focused after that amazing double save (in the contrary all screamed "NISHIIIINOYA") and was able to have a clear vision to pass the ball to Azumane. Damn Kageyama has a huge focus
At this moment, With absolute clarity and after rewatching the entirety of Haikyuu 4 times, This was undoubtedly the best individual play ever made in the series. That was unbelievable.
The best part is this isnt only because Nishinoya has crazy reflexes, earlier in the game Wakatoshi did the exact same move but Nishinoya couldn’t receive it then, but now with a weaker spiker in the same exact position and situation as before, he reacted a perfectly as a defender who learned from a previous play.
The moment Nishinoya came out, I knew he was my fav. Damn. This made me remember how much I fangirled over Nishinoya every time he does the impossible.
They can't just give us the most amazing moment in all of haikyuu then immediately follow it up with 0:40 . Oikawa's face is the funniest thing I've seen in years

The one time I successfully pulled a noya in the middle of a game and received it with my foot, the crowd didn’t notice. They were watching the opposition’s pinch server strike poses and do tik tok dances on the sidelines. It was sad, but at least my team noticed and we got the point!
Love the moment, the OST is so underrated. I love everything in this match. It's intensive and karasuno's peak moment as a team. Looking forward to see the dumpster battle❤

I wish noya. I wish. The one time I successfully pulled a noya in the middle of a game and received it with my foot, the crowd didn’t notice. They were watching the opposition’s pinch server strike poses and do tik tok dances on the sidelines. It was sad, but at least my team noticed and we got the point!
