I am not a trucker. I am a high value "telecom contractor" who spends just as much time on the road as I do on site. Some of the safest places I have found were truck stops in the evening. It was easier for me when I was in an RV with a trailer pulling into the 53' plus spots, but even when I could sneak in with my Toyota Tacoma near the truckstop areas with folks that understood 24/7 life, this sound is what told me there were people nearby and that I was safe. From 2014-17 I took a road trip from NYC to a round South America in a Toyota Hilux. Truck stops and gas stations were a safe place with lights, people and often showers for many many nights of restful sleep. The best were in Chile and Brazil

Ooooh, the truck stop. There's something magical about truck stops. I guess because they're "liminal spaces?" In the literal sense. They're stops on the road to other places. Adventurers from far and wide come together to bask in the almost Christmaslike glow of the stop's eternal vigil. Closest thing to a video game save point we have. I used to ride with my dad when he drove truck. Very fond memories of sleeping the best sleep of my life listening to the noise of dads truck and the rocking back and fourth. Miss those days ❤
Then go to a truck stop and park next to a trailer full of steers making noise all night. Maybe next to a reefer blasting or just become a trucker and really find out what it’s like to sleep.
This is for people who are so wound up they can’t sleep if it’s quiet. After driving eighteen hours I usually can’t wait to get to the noisy truck stop to get some sleep.

Randall, have you ever thought of doing one where you cruise down the road in an old 70’s or 80’s diesel pick up? That would be fun! And super relaxing.
You really nailed it here with this! There are other people that have diesel engine sounds or bad recordings of engines, but this gets the whole atmosphere of the truck stop which you can hear inside a truck. You can hear your truck and the guy next to your truck too from your sleeper. Well done!
Its not even the trucks that are going, its the refrigerator units on all the trailers, they have back up power sources with the trucks that keep them going, still though as a new truckie it is still the most comforting sound out there
It sort of makes me want to be a truck driver just listening to this. It is an amazing sound. It’s the sort of white noise that you can fall asleep to very easily. Thanks for going out of your way to do this for us Randall. It’s stunning 🤩
These great, strong, lumbering beasts of burden are slumbering peacefully for now. They will be ready tomorrow to continue the important, and life sustaining task of moving the nations materiel all along the arteries that span the country from state to state, and coast to coast. But for now, let them rest; and let the men and women who love them and care for them, and drive them with dedication rest with them. God bless these, and may they be safe. And God bless YOU, Randall, for your dedication to peaceful slumbers for us all. Rev. Mark A. Lauer
Awesome soundscape for sure.... East bound and down.. Loaded up and trucking......Lol Like the sound of the big rigs idling. I always wanted a freightliner in the 80s. Just the cab.. Back then not many women truckers I can recall. Thanks for this....😊

So glad i found this!! Im on home time and healing from a surgery and cant sleep. But this video is very calming for me and helps me fall asleep! Thank you!
I drove from Oregon to Florida to see my father who has stage 4 cancer and this sound was the only thing that helped me sleep when I pulled off at rest stops along the way
This sounds very soothing. I like this steady engine noise over the newer truck's optimized idle cutting off and on. Don't know how I would handle being parked between two reefers, That might be too much. Ha! My favorite sound is the rain hitting the roof when I'm sleeping on the top bunk. I sleep really deeply then.
I don’t know what I’d do without you man. You honestly have the best sleep Channel. I really appreciate what you do. You seem to really care for your listeners well being.
Thank you for this, your latest demonstration of sleep sound sorcery. Just listened to a minute or so & yep, this one’s giving me tingles. So nice! Goodnight from the UK
Not sorcery. Sorcery is real and simply demonic. It's a mortal sin requiring absolution from a Catholic priest not to suffer the loss of the life of grace in the soul/hell eternally if done deliberately with full knowledge. Also God's existence is proven. They've taken the proofs for the existence of God out of modern DEeducation but the proofs for the existence of God are a staple in any undergraduate philosophy tract. They're called St Thomas's 5 proofs. You can't get to Catholicism via logic alone but the sheer existence of God and that He must for example be One, IS proven. Here's one. You see that things have a cause. If you don't assent to this you're simply a liar. IF you don't have a First Cause of all Himself Uncaused you have an infinite regress of causes of effects and never getting to the First Cause you never get in reverse logic to what you see today by neccessary result of this infinite regress. The infinity (i.e. NEVER ending of causes creates an insurmountable gap because if its inherent infinity insurmountable gap because if its inherent infinity insurmountable to suffice for the existence of anything you see that exists and has a cause of its existence. There MUST therefore by neccesity exist a FIRST Cause that is Himself Uncaused Who is God.✌🏽
This sound is extremely similar to diesel trains idling (which I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised about) while waiting at an empty station. The sound reverberates off of every surface instead of being absorbed by people’s clothes because there’s no one there; much like it’s doing off the asphalt and trailers here. So: this reminds me of travelling across the UK by rail, of getting the first train at 5am or the last train at 11pm, when I’d usually be the only person around. This sound rushes and bounces up the concrete or brickwork stairwells to greet you as you approach the platform level, and while you’re there it reverberates off of the roof, the platform, the walls, even the other trackbeds; to surround you in the crisp cold night air. Sometimes there’d be 2 or 3 different trains waiting to go, all heading toward different population centres far away from each other, adding to the atmosphere with their motors unsynched. Though, even a singular train can sound like this, since a Diesel Multiple Unit train has many smaller diesel engines under the floor or on the roof, which are probably pretty similar in size to truck engines. While diesel locomotives with their ~6000HP single engine at the front… don’t really sound the same on their own - though when there’s enough of them together at rush hour it can have a similar effect. (Albeit with less reverberation due to all the people around, and a deeper frequency spread due to the engine size.) Even when they open the train doors ~ten minutes before departure, the inside of the empty train still sounds very similar. The doors and windows can’t keep out the resonance, so the overtones are just muffled as they bounce internally off of the windows. Plus, the same vibration conducts through the train’s bodyshell and into your seat, adding to the effect of the platform resonance. Good memories of eating a sandwich or burrito from the station while I’m alone in a train carriage all to myself. Of watching the sunrise through the window once we’re actually moving. And starting to see more commuter-type folks trickling in down the line, at 6-7am.

i love this sound. im not a trucker but it reminds me of long road trips and getting gas at a rest stop. good times
I'm glad you enjoy it!
I can already tell this is a favourite of mine. Fantastic stuff! Thank you as always, Randall - what you do improve people's lives, I hope you know that. 👍
I appreciate the comment. I'm always trying my best... Thank you for the support!
I was never in a truck but I can hear the hummings and white noise and whenever I see the truckers resting and have those dim yellow light, it’s like I feel the resting energy and all I want after that is my bed. Love this
Thanks for sharing! I hope you sleep well to this one..
Love it! I have a cousin that drives OTR for Prime and always enjoyed long road trips and stop by the Flying J’s or TA’s to have a hot meal and go to sleep in cab listening to idling sounds of truckers. I’m seriously thinking about getting into trucking.
Awesome. I'm glad you enjoy this one Jared. Long time no see on here. Congrats to Atlanta btw! Enjoy and sleep well my friend.
Sleep must be the most precious thing in the world for drivers in these places.
It sure is Chris!
❤ yu. Better. Believe. It. Chris. 🙏
I wish Randall could be properly recognized for his efforts and creativity. Your hands down the best TH-cam channel for relaxation and sleep sounds
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Be sure to send it to other people or your friends
I'm 72 yrs young, I've been OTR in a Semi with a friend of mine. When traveling long distance in my personal vehicle, I pull my 25' Travel Trailer. I ALWAYS stop at Truck Stops. I feel Relaxed, Sleep well with the Humming of the Big Rigs... 😴
That is a great way to describe it!
I'll have you know i subscribe to premium because of your ingenuity. After downloading several white noise apps, i always end up back here. Your creations are unrivaled.
That is the highest compliment one can give. Thank you.
Thanks!
WOW! Thank you.
@@RandallsRestRelaxation Thank you my friend. Your channel grants me the most restful sleep.
for some reason this feels calming
I'm glad you enjoy it
I just have to comment, my gosh, you take first prize in my book! Seriously! Some of the most loving, enjoyable, memorable, giggling times in my life were after finally getting stopped to sleep or even just rest a couple of hours back when I was riding with my best friend/boyfriend. God, this really makes emotions come flooding back, the tears that well up...... I MISS THAT VOLVO!
Sounds like great memories! I'm glad you enjoy this one... Sleep well.
This is the most beautiful sound I could ever find to block noise from neighbors in my crappy apartment
I feel you man
@@jakeward4493 One of my life goals is living in a flat, at least, where I'm separated from neighbors and noises and I'm at my own pace, I love silence + sound of the wind caressing through the trees. I also include this kind of sounds that are "industrial " they're somehow perfect too.
I'm glad it works well for you ! 😴💤💤💤
I sleep to this video every night ! I absolutly am grateful.
Awesome! This was a fun one to create!
I am just a few minutes in and I can already feel the relaxation stepping in and dosing me off! Excellent as always my dear friend! Adding to my favorites 💕 Kind regards from South Florida 🌞
Thank you for showing your support. Sleep well Monica!
Agree!!!
Some of the absolute best sleep ive ever had was in the sleeper on those cool fall nights. Rumble of the motor set to 1000rpm literally massages you to sleep with a gentle and comforting white noise of exhaust. Daaamn. Wasnt a trucker for long but i do miss those nights. Hadnt a care in the world. Get some good sleep tonight wherever you all are!
This is beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ Another favourite to add to my list of favourites LOL - thank you, Randall. You are so creative.
You are welcome Michelle. Thank you for the support.
Love the sound of trucks resting up for the night it’s so relaxing the gentle humming and the sound of the engine fan boom it’s lights out this side of the pond Randall my little American pal thanks again for your wonderful work in helping the world to relax and destress in these troubled times love from Scotland 🏴

I'm glad this video did the trick for you!
I used to ride with my dad when he drove truck. Very fond memories of sleeping the best sleep of my life listening to the noise of dads truck and the rocking back and fourth. Miss those days ❤
Great memory! Enjoy and sleep well.

Whoa... Thank you so much!
This has become the only video that I can sleep to. I listen to it every night. ❤️ Thank you!
You're welcome Elizabeth! Thank you for commenting to show your support...
What a creative idea, Randall! As always, the relaxing intro guides us into this unique sleepscape. I'm catching a lot of nostalgia too; this reminds me of all my excursions up and down the West Coast, sleeping in truck stops and hitting the road before the sun rose. Thank you for sharing this with us!
You are welcome Joe! Thank you for your comments as always my friend!
Lol I drive trucks and never thought of the noise relaxing (especially being parked next to a refer), but this sounds so good. ❤
hah, I made sure I wasn't parked next to a refrigerated truck, that is for sure! I agree, the sound came out perfect!
Good night from Yemen and thank you Randall from the bottom of my heart❤
You are welcome Ahmad! Enjoy and sleep well my friend. 😴😴
Randall you are the best channel on this platform. Love this so much. Sleep well my friends. Got work in the morning, had a good chat with some friends, ready to wake up and be productive. Thanks for this content, you are truly doing gods work. ❤️
Thank you so much Daze. Enjoy and sleep well !
I am an Aussie trucker and this is a winner ! I sleep lovely in my truck when I’m out of it this helps
Awesome! I'm glad you enjoy this one my friend.
This is like me in Russia, sleeping with my grandfather. Thank you so much this helps me to sleep and to study!
Enjoy 💤 😴

This got me through my breakup. Sleeping was hard during December and this made sure I was able.
Awesome! I'm glad this worked well for you. Thank you for commenting to show your support.
I love this because I remember when I was a OTR driver and sleeping in the trucking and the way it sounds I miss it now I’m a local driver
Great memory Dell !
As someone who travels the PA tolls a lot, this is one of my favorite videos. There's many times I'd be traveling at night and pull off for a power nap and the ambiance was very relaxing
Hey I'm from PA, near Sharon on 80... I'm glad you enjoy this one 😴💤💤💤
I can’t believe how relaxing it is it definitely helps the sleep. Recommend this to anybody who needs help falling asleep. I rate this 4 1/2 piss jugs out of five.
lol
Im a transportation specialist aka trucker and this sounds and the vibrations from my bunk puts me fast asleep
Awesome! I'm glad you enjoy it.
I can already tell that I'll be using this one for a long long time. Great work as usual Randal!
Awesome! Thank you Jaycob. Enjoy and sleep well.
Another reason I love pushing these Down the road.34 years and counting a truck driver.
Thank you for your service! Sleep well !
Randall, have you ever thought of doing one where you cruise down the road in an old 70’s or 80’s diesel pick up? That would be fun! And super relaxing.
GREAT IDEA! Thank you.
The Diesel fumes knocked me out it about 3:00 minutes, smells amazing
lol
You really nailed it here with this! There are other people that have diesel engine sounds or bad recordings of engines, but this gets the whole atmosphere of the truck stop which you can hear inside a truck. You can hear your truck and the guy next to your truck too from your sleeper.
Well done!
Thank you kindly !
You are welcome Venom!
Rev. Mark A. Lauer
Thank you Mark! Enjoy and sleep well my friend.
Awesome soundscape for sure....
East bound and down.. Loaded up and trucking......Lol
Like the sound of the big rigs idling.
I always wanted a freightliner in the 80s. Just the cab.. Back then not many women truckers I can recall.
Thanks for this....😊
You are welcome Anita... I hope this brings you many nights of restful sleep my friend.
My dad was a trucker. He passed away 6 years ago and this hit home. I remember he took me for a ride in his one time, and this is bringing back fond memories. Thank you ❤
You're welcome. Enjoy and sleep well.
Good night from Germany and have a nice Monday :D
Good night and sleep well Phil!
So glad i found this!! Im on home time and healing from a surgery and cant sleep. But this video is very calming for me and helps me fall asleep! Thank you!
I'm glad this one works well for you. Rest and heal up my friend!
I like your crazy Ideas...
It's 1:08am now here in Germany. Must sleep now.
Tonight on a US Truck Stop... Thanx! 👍🏻😀
You are welcome! Enjoy and sleep well.
I drove from Oregon to Florida to see my father who has stage 4 cancer and this sound was the only thing that helped me sleep when I pulled off at rest stops along the way
I'm glad this one worked well for you my friend. Drive safe.
Its odd how comforting this is. Like on a cross country road trip and your parents stopped at a truck stop for gas at 12 am.
The sound turned out perfect !
I think I have watched this video every night since the night it was uploaded
Whoa awesome. Thank you for the support!
Ahhh, this sound is perfect, just what I needed for this nasty insomnia! Thanks, man!
Glad to help!
This has been my go-to sleep video since it came out. It never fails to make me sleep like a mothertrucker.
Yeah this one is a home run!
Can’t explain it but I love this- thanks once again Randall for the hard work and dedication
Glad you enjoy it! Sleep well Angelica
That is a great idea for a video... Rain on the roof while idling
I don’t know what I’d do without you man. You honestly have the best sleep Channel. I really appreciate what you do. You seem to really care for your listeners well being.
Thank you Lydia. I really enjoy helping others in unique, creative ways!

I'm glad you enjoy it!
Thank you for this, your latest demonstration of sleep sound sorcery. Just listened to a minute or so & yep, this one’s giving me tingles. So nice!
Goodnight from the UK
Goodnight Dave! Thank you for commenting to show your support.
I’d quite happily fall asleep to this quite easily. All the best from the UK England.
I'm glad you like this one Bartman!
(Albeit with less reverberation due to all the people around, and a deeper frequency spread due to the engine size.)
Even when they open the train doors ~ten minutes before departure, the inside of the empty train still sounds very similar.
Wow, great comment! I should record some idling trains!
damn this is above and beyond. reminds me of my life on the road
I'm glad you enjoy it!
Love it Randall... great sounds... Nighty Night from Northern Ireland my friend! 😎😴
Good night and sleep well James! 😴😴😴
