The rest of the scene with Toby and Andy is a scene that has stayed with me all these years. When Andy says she won't marry Toby because he's sad, it hurts, but the way Schiff plays the half hearted defense and broken response, like he knows, deep down, that she's right, just wrecked me. Just amazing acting.

He is sad and angry at the same time. He struggles and has for decades with his moral superiority. He was physically abused in school because of his religious beliefs. He looks down on his father as a felon and his sister. Even looks down on the president. Which in the end is what almost causes him to become a felon himself.

Toby: “I’m not sad.”
Andy: “You are. I don’t know if anything can change that but I can’t.”

In the show Molly was caught by surprise at the exit of a bathroom, she didn’t even get the chance to defend herself.
Don't know why they let Wesley be part of the Secret Service protective detail when he couldn't even protect a pregnant woman from Parker and Longbaugh.

I didn't see the entire episode. What was the significance of the missing ship's container and the torrential rain in the Northwest?
good question. if something in the container was a dispersal agent, the rain could spread it as groundwater. or a stormfront could move it. but that's guessing.
I believe earlier they intercepted a terrorist communication that included a codephrase along the lines of "next week there will be torrential rains in the Pacific Northwest" but didn't know what that code was supposed to mean. Jed just figured out that it meant the terrorists were going to sneak into the US inside a shipping container headed to Portland Oregon. Now that its gone missing, they know whatever plan the terrorist cell has (we find out later it's to kidnap Zoey), the terrorists who are going to do it have slipped through the border and are now loose inside the country.
A storm would make searching the port difficult/dangerous. He gave the order right then instead of waiting because they were running out of time before the storm came in. I'm not sure why Leo didn't remind the president of the earlier convo about the heavy rain.
Would she pull a real gun on a fellow agent inside the White House with the president 10 feet away during a simulated attack drill ?

Because Fritz outranks him by an order of 50 degrees and he can? lol I don't recall there being any particular issue between the two, Davis was only around for two episodes, and he wasn't really given any special backstory.

Are they doing great, though? These recent clips have been kind of terrible. They're just 5 random minutes out of episodes. No thematic link, no conclusion, often cutting out just before the best part or the payoff of whatever it is they're trying to say. They include stuff they shouldn't and cut out stuff they should include.
Honestly this new channel kinda stinks.

In the second season they kill the relationship between Zoey and Charlie after the shooting. Then in the fourth she shows up with the frog.

@@MatthewKearney69They broke off screen, thats why you cant remember. there are a few episodes in start of season 2 with her, then she disappears. The Actress was busy and they couldn't use her. So when she comes back on season 4 we already see her with a new boyfriend. and Charlie tells President Bartlet the relationship ended because she was unhappy that he was always at the office.

I assume the French would be involved at some point? Imagine a French President daughter being protected by armed French security detail on American soil. American absolutism and a obsessive father.
Ummm... actually that's par for the course. When Chelsea Clinton was studying here in Oxford she had armed Secret Service agents guarding her. The daughter of a French President studying in the US would definitely have armed French GSPR agents guarding them. Most western countries have reciprocal deals which allow for diplomats and VIPs to have armed guards from their own security services looking after them.

I used to go to an international school. It's par for the course for "diplomatic" personnel to be on protection details even in the school and they definitely were not from the host country. Which kind of cut down on normal high school hijinks...when you were very aware that any misstep would actually hurt. Still did the senior prank though....they helped heh. Prom...was also..um..less booze fueled than most.
Unfortunately Wesley failed.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but the whole first scene here feels kinda poorly written/directed. I dunno... something just feels very un-West Wing about it.
