    Ive been using Toro 2 cycles since 2002. I do all residential walks n drives. Toro never let me down with getting news papers stuck in blower housing. Most durable and reliably . Light weight too.

    This is a great machine. The only problem I have is the wheels get caked with snow and then they
    don't want to spin but slide. Other than that. I have the electric start and what a blessing that
    is. No pulling, no chocking on and off, just starts right up.

    Ditto Dankbobby. Makes quick work with a good 8inch snow.
    Recommend running non ethanol fuel and following the book when it's time to store it. This will be the 2nd full season with mine. Love it. Starts up 1st pull after sitting for nine months.

    I've had same Toro CCR3650 since 1997. Almost bullet proof. I've change paddle/scrapers twice. In SE Mich I only need to use machine about 10 times a season. Wish they had the 4stroke when I bought this one. Most of my neighbors have 2 stage, but I think it's overkill except for maybe once or twice per winter. Winters are changing. Follow storage instructions, it will last a long time. If I ever have to get a replacement, would only consider a Toro. (bought at HD)

    Good presentation. If my Honda HS621 dies before I do, I'd go with the 721Q -- especially after seeing your review. In Chicago weather I think it makes sense to keep 2 machines; I use a Toro Powerlite as well, since it handles the sloppy wet stuff better than anything else I've ever seen. It's tiny (could use a Tonka logo on the side somewhere), but extremely light and manageable for those of us with raised terraces. The 'boat motor' smell can be almost eliminated (almost...) by using Echo brand premix oil.

    I own a 721 E, in a couple of years you have to replace the paddles and scraper bar. But after clutch cable went off because of the end Z lock. And if this hapens you have to replace the idle arm and the clutch cable same time. Now I use a 2 stage snow blower.

    I recently purchased a Toro 721 QZE and have a question about checking the oil level. The owners manual is a bit confusing on checking the oil level as in one image they show the 721 snowblower tipped up on its front end while checking the oil level. And then the next they show it resting on it's wheels. What is the correct way to position the 721 while checking its oil level, tipped up, or resting on its wheels? Thanks.

    • @12DGJB21
      @12DGJB21 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      An update to my question - After more research here's what I've found on filling and checking the oil level. First, the user manual does state that the Toro 721 QZE will take 20oz of oil. And that when adding oil you can tip up the snowblower to make it easier to add the oil. But to add no more than 20 oz of oil with the snowblower tipped up. The manual also states that you can also add oil with the snowblower resting on its wheels. In this position (on its wheels), and assuming it's on a level surface, you can fill with oil until it just begins to run out of the oil fill hole. This should also be close to 20oz of oil. As for checking the oil level with the dip stick, the snow blower must be resting on its wheels on a level surface. I hope this is helpful.

    Toro has the 821 coming out. I believe it is around 25 cc more than the 721.$100-150 dollars more though. Do you think it would be worth the extra money?

      @michael19541 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just bought the 821 today, 252 CC! Got it with all the options to boot, looks like a beast and the wheels and all the belts are heavy duty compared to last years 721, this little commercial single stage self-propelled machine was $805 with tax, but it's built better than the Toro's last single stage units, I can't wait to try it out, I have a route I do and this little thing is going to push snow like a bulldozer! Good luck guys and gals, you get what you pay for, you know.

      @@Papi4l2 I shopped around online and could have probably saved between 100 and 150 shipped to my front door, but my local Ace hardware store who I do a lot of business with had it for $805 with tax and that includes a three-year warranty, all I have to do is drop it off if I have problems with it which I'm doubt I will, and will fix it right there in that a store as they have a mechanic right there, so it was worth the extra money just to have that mental warranty you might say not have to take it to Lowe's or big-box store and they ship it off and you have to wait to get it back a week or two or more, so yes, I checked around and you might want to check your Ace local hardware store and see if they have the 821 in stock, good luck to you!

    most people do not replace the scraper bar and paddles then wonder why it doesnt throw snow as good as it used to then wonder why the auger housing is junk because they let the concrete driveway eat the scraper bar away then the auger housing lol if you are going to replace paddles and scraper bars often just go get a smaller two stage much better choice because paddles and scraper bars add up in price
