This is now my biscuit recipe. Please don't block me when I tell you I'm a low-fat vegan. At 72 I want it easy and as unmessy as possible. I just love cat head biscuits, but when I'd see the can of Crisco lined up no way could I feel good about making them. Papaw to the rescue. I make the whole recipe for dry ingredients, add a little sugar and put it in a big canning jar. This morning I took out two big spoonfuls added enough plant milk and a bit of vinegar till it looked right. I pulled my smallest cast iron pan out of the hot oven and followed your method with the melted plant butter. Thankyou so much for this method! The outside is so crunchy! I'm subscribed.

Would love to see it again with the finished products showing. So there was no fat added into the original dough except what little was in the buttermilk and what was in the skillet and spooned over?

What part of Louisiana do y’all live in? Your husband mentioned the last name Mott that were his friends. The area where I grew up there were some Mott’s who were farmers. Order that man some Bacon Up from Amazon! It’s great grease. I buy and use it all the time. A man that can cook cat head biscuits!!! Girl, hang on to him with BOTH hands!
