I’m working in Kedah now and I want an ebike that could at least travel from SP to AOR daily. The range is quite low and the swappable battery infrastructure is still very much lacking outside of Klang Valley.
the range is far too low to be daily rideable. but swappable batteries is a great idea, moving forward because i don't wanna be idling at the gas station
Thanks for checking out this review! 🙏 Also thank you for the suggesting the Yadea. The team will consider and then, we’ll see if there’s any opportunity to review the E8S Pro 🙋♂️
hi, for the pricing, example i ride 100km, the cost to charge to ride 100km around how much? not so understand for the cost above.. i only drive near by, so might not consider swap battery
Hi, thanks for the comment. We're assuming you're asking about charging at home. The cost to charge at home depends on your electricity tariff rate, this varies based on the electricity usage. Lower electricity usage, lower tariff. Higher electricity usage, higher tariff. In this example, Chapree's home tariff rate is RM0.51/kWh. The battery size of the Blueshark R1 is 2.88kWh. To fully charge the battery at home, the calculation is as follows: RM0.51x2.88 = RM1.47 (we round off to RM1.50) In the video, Chapree mention, he can get a range of about 70-80km on a single charge. We divide the cost to charge with the range: RM1.50/80km, the cost per KM is RM 0.019 (1.9 sen) From this we can calculate how much it costs to ride 100km: 0.019×100 = RM1.90. It costs RM1.90 to cover 100km using the Blueshark R1. Hope this helps.
Great review as always! The best development for EV bike in the market right now, but financially not great for consumer. I hardly seen one in Penang (actually not even 1) and I can see the reason why. Swappable battery was such a breakthrough idea but the battery subscription system is a massive paywall that hurt the sales. If I want to get electric bike, I want the convenience of ice bike. U dont see people paying honda/yamaha etc. monthly subscription to have the fuel tank built in. The price is still too high for lesser offerring than the competition. And let's face it, no one really give a damn about "green-benefit" of any EV, people switch from ice bike to ebike for financial reason no. 1 (less maintenance, no monthly fuel cost etc.)
Selagi tiada kepakaran dari technician utk modified kelajuan,dn speed electric scooter ni selagi tu la tk ramai org beli...dgn speed yg ada skang sgt merbahaya di jln² besar bila2 bleh kena lggr dr blakang....malaysia ketinggapan zaman, klu tgk di thailand dlm modified scooter electrik mmg ke dpn la dan laju2 scooter electric diaorg...

imho, swappable battery so far is the best idea to reduce range anxiety + extend the range of fully electric motorcycles
Great review. Pleasse consider doing a top 5 or top 10 comparison between all the ev bikes. Would be useful for buyers
Hey, thanks for the suggestion! We'll look into it.
Great review. Looking forward to more electric motorcycle reviews in the future. Maybe Yadea E8S Pro next?

May I ask which model of bearing is used for R1? Because my R1 needs to be repaired and the local maintenance personnel don’t understand.
Great sharing.
Do we need bike licence to ride this?
Good review bro.. But EV Bike still expensive here. Govt should give more Rebate on EV BIKES..

Abang Non will strip away subsidy so it is VERY SUITABLE to get electric scooter😢
Electric bike is a scam in Malaysia. 50km at top speed becomes 200km bike magically. Its scooter not bike.
theres a reason why there is still no electric bikes that works.

Thanks for the video but for now I will stick to my GS 😂 Is there an option to charge the bike instead of swapping battery?
