Historic Oatman on Route 66 | We Broke Our Rig!

- This week we're taking a day trip to Oatman Arizona, once a thriving gold mining town on the original National Old Trails Road part of which became Route 66.
We visited the famous hotel where it's claimed Clark Gable and Carole Lombard spent the night and Kevin got locked in a punishment cell.
Oatman is a working ghost town and it's well worth a visit as you make you way from Chicago to LA.

Hello-Love your videos. I was on 66 about 2 weeks ago. I have a 2023 2670 mk. I am having problems charging my batteries. I may have blown a fuse on the converter. But, I can't find the converter. Do you know where the converter is located?
Ah, the elusive converter strikes again! It's like playing hide and seek with your RV. In ours, it's located behind the two large drawers in the bedroom. Thanks for watching.
Thank you. You were correct. Ok, so... I was on a trip and decided to upgrade my batteries from the original single 12 volt to two Duracell 6 volt wired in series. I did the work. Shortly after I started having charging issues as in shore power and my solar panel are not charging the batteries. My 7 pin connector on the tow vehicle does charge the batteries. And, the red light on my solar charger is red. Meaning, something is wrong. I have power to the converter. But, no current out of the converter. So, I think it is the converter. I am getting one tomorrow. I did have a mobile tech come by and he unhooked the batteries and ran the same test I did. And that showed no current coming out of the converter. When I tested it, with the batteries hooked, up my meter showed current. So I think now I will unhook the batteries when trying to distinguish between where power is coming from...like shore power, or, the solar panel. It can get complicated.
