he is a dracolich meaning his body is slowly turning to a foul smelling dust whenever he isnt devouring souls... thats like the universal rule of draconic liches
Deathcoldan forgot about that, but yeah. Neltharion's full story from start to end is both tragic and dark... and he is one of my favorite lore characters (again, as a whole story)
Deathcoldan Well I knew someone had to mate with her,I just forgot it had to be one of the consorts, which makes the question, who did she mate with before she got captured O.o
Milan Brkic the Dragon Aspects mate consider all of the dragonflight (of the opposite sex) to be both their mates and children, but each Aspect had a "prime consort". These Prime Consorts are something like "husbands"/"wives" , primary advisers and are the second in command. For Alexastraza it was Korialstraz (or Krasus) - RIP. Deathwing's is located at the Netherwing rep dailies place in Outland, Malygos' we kill somewhere during WOTLK (I tihnk) but I'm not sure where, Nozdormu's is in charge and can be found in the Cavern's of Time, who I also think dies in the events between MoP and WoD (again, not sure)
For some reason Blizzard is giving one beating after another to dragons ever since Cataclysm. First poor Neltharion, then Malygos and future self of Nozdormu, now Ysera....im actually worried for Alextrasza.
+Filsdemorte Sex slave meams she was raped which is not true, with the Demon Soul they forced her to mate with captive red dragons so they can use her children in the War.
I always wondered who exactly Galakrond was.. a gap in my Warcraft knowledge. Regardless of the Wrath expansion (which barely touched on the subject), and with the new Hearthstone expansion, thank you for diving into the history. It's actually pretty fascinating learning that the Dragon Aspects were originally proto-drakes who rose to power, overcame their own threats, and earned their mantles. Wow.
All of the cards in HS are based off WoW, even minor cards are references to characters and players of the game which is pretty cool. Good to see people learning more about the world and characters
Hellscream now known as Krucial, I don't know how, but you're so good at making events sound even more epic than they already are. Keep up the good work man! You're awesome! P.S. I would love long lore videos from you.
The YT algorithm does not know you play Hearthstone. It does however know what videos you tend to watch (which are probably Hearthstone videos, among others), so it will recommend similar videos.
The parts of this lore that involved Neltharion especially with that quote makes me so sad, because he was an actual hero and risked his life to protect others from a serious threat, but later on he became corrupted by the Old Gods and turned into Deathwing who was one of the biggest threats and insane villains in WoW.
I wonder, what would it have looked like, had Neltharion admitted his ailment of Old God whispers? Would the Titans have killed him? Would his siblings have protected him?
Of course they would have killed him. The Old Gods existed to corrupt the Titan Azeroth to make another Dark Titan to destroy the universe and give the Demon race peace. Naturally any tool used by the Old Gods to do this must be destroyed in the Titans' eyes. Any tool short of entire planets that is, but that's another story.
@@Markis2bi4 Nah you're correct. Although his Sargeras' plan was to exterminate all life in the universe (in particular the planets with world souls) so the void lords had nothing to corrupt.
Would Cata Deathwing be at the power level of Galakrond since he was able to sunder Azeroth with earthquakes and tsunamis? He was able to do it while being much smaller than Galakrond as well.
I'd say yes, since the video failed the mention that the titans did not give the aspects their actual power as aspects until after they defeated galakrond.
Deathwing: We fight as family we fight together. *His family fight against him* Malygos becomes crazy of magic. *His family killed him* Pooroto Dragons...
I was actually really interested in the Galakrond lore, but the Wiki info is so dry and stale, thanks for upload this to inform lazy lore freaks like me
haha np, yeah you cant really get the whole story unless you read the books. Wiki just summarizes it so quickly that you really dont get the sense of how powerful or how much of a role they actually played
The last sentence in this gave me pause, made me think back on when Deathwing was still the Aspect of Earth. I wonder, what if he never was caught by the influence of the old gods? If none.of them were? Hellscream, could you make a video on this?
look at the jobs of the other aspects have. Malygos rules over magic. Nozdormu over time. Ysera sleeps all day and rules over dreams. Alexstrasza having sex all day(life domain). But neltharion? He was domaining over rocks for years.tbh id go mad as well even without old gods.
Very interesting video about WoW Lore. Only distraction was the constant misuse of "decimate" which kill 10%. It does not mean killed most as is used in this video.
Ur voice is so good for retelling stories bro. I stopped playing wow but I always like to hear cool stories. I might start playing again ,maybe but not sure.
Again awesome stuff from lore that we never get to see ingame. In Northrend we prevented the Lich King from excavating and ressurecting Galakrond, but imagine if we didn't and had to fight a undead frostwyrm version of him. That would have been amazing.
Ysera's thought process during that fight is interesting, everyone else blinding or distracting Not-Friend, better go into Not-Friend's mouth and attack that.
Holy fuck. This is by far one of the most interesting hidden Warcraft lores I've heard about. Would've been nice if I knew about it during WoTLK so I could appreciate the giant ass dragon skeleton that I passed by quite a few times back in the day. This huge bastard would probably give the entire Legion a run for their money, ultimately requiring Sargeras to take him down.

That why I am here
I was here PogU
i FEEL SO COOL KNOWING WHO THE UNDEAD DRAKE WAS :p
People should check other video's of this guy.Watch the video about malygos is pure gold.Too bad he is not making these kind of lore videos...
I was gonna make this damn comment lmaooo
He's so gigantic that his claws do 5 damage.
And break after 2 slashes...
probably referring to his two mini claws at his torso
If he can deliver a slash so trembling it can be on the same ground of continental damage as magma rager i'm pretty sure it's accurate
This comment fucking kills me
he is a dracolich meaning his body is slowly turning to a foul smelling dust whenever he isnt devouring souls... thats like the universal rule of draconic liches
So his whole deal and power source was basically: he was hungry.
No, he was Galakrond

why dont i get lich powers from eating a lot of pizza and being fat :c

she was a "sex slave" during warcraft 2
MyViolador ur pic matches your reply perfectly
how come she was a sex slave ?
+Leon Lopez the horde when they originally invaded Azeroth, captured her and used her offspring for mounts and other things.

That Northrend skeleton does not give Galakrond justice at all!!!
i think it does. remember in the lore, the world is much bigger than the game world. did you see the warcraft movie elwyn forest ?
Agreed
Yep, the game world is scaled down alot from realistic proportions. The cinematics have a more accurate scale of things
@@meowyish Pretty much yeah, even an MMO can only go so far with its world. But I think they did a good job none the less.

why you change name?
OR, we could just drop a giant holy infused boulder into his throat again

Just a little side-note, in the Novel, Talonixa is described as a Golden Proto Dragon, not Purple as in the picture, in case some people are confused.
would be nice seeing him in action and we thought Deathwing was a tough pill to swallow
Using Deathwings images as Neltharion as if they were the same personality
Their kinda but are not
We need an extended edition! Hope this lore is well put to use rather than using it as a jump spot like wrath and frozen throne
It's really cool to hear these stories told. Great content man!
