Make one of the dead ends look like a pond that's really an aquarium that you can view from the basement. Is that possible? Then you can have George and Lucille in there. And since it's underwater, you can maybe put in a sized down Whalebert. And the missing knife. And a suspiciously white roundish rock

I really do appreciate these pack build videos. I'm autistic & have ADHD, so i don't have the patience to sit through a "pack breakdown" video, but i struggle with imagining how to use some of the new items. Your videos are always fun & engaging, but i also learn soooo much too!! All my builds used to be contemporary, minimalism style, because i struggled to build anything else to the standard i wanted. But i am now a lot more confident experimenting with styles & items that I've never used before 😊

This is just a suggestion but what if you put candles in the bathroom (specifically, under the bathtub and) to make it more romantic but also play into the spooky feeling. Movies usually do that and it also makes elevates the room and makes it look more expensive.

25:40 there’s now a coffee pot in the life & death debug, so you can do this trick with that too! i personally find it really annoying when my sims make coffee instead of sleeping, but i love the look of a coffee pot, so i’m so glad there’s now a debug coffee pot. it’s nothing fancy, just a black swatch of a base game coffee pot, but it’s nice to have. also!!!!!! haven’t seen anyone talk about this yet (shockingly), but there’s a new pillow in debug! it’s just like the one from the login rewards, except it’s laying down instead of standing up. i’m really excited about it, and it comes with a ton of swatches. it’s super cool because we don’t have any other pillows that are laying down (that i know of)
This is so awesome. When I hear mystery mansion my mind goes straight to Scooby doo and Clue. Maybe you can make secret passageways that connect to different parts of the house like little shortcuts. I can’t wait to see part 2.

This build has potential for a vamp secretly living on the propert. So put some items that the vamp can get to, like a telescope and/or picnic blanket on the roof top. Change the crypt coffin for a vamp coffin. Have a small room closed off so only the vamp can get in. That room could have a shelf filled with vamp books and clutter. It also could have a violin that the vamp plays, which leaves them to believe the house is haunted when the vamp plays a sad tune, which is almost all the time. There can also be vamp clutter here and there around the house, but the owners just shrug it off as always being there and they can't be bothered to why a plasma pack is in the hallway or on their nightstand.
I’d love for one of the one-tile rooms that you end up with to include a skeleton who was built in to the walls to erase the evidence of his murder pls. You could even add the missing knife from the kitchen as the murder weapon!
Maybe in the bathroom you could have like mirrors on the walls where the pattern stuff are. The mirrors won't cover the wall but only the light beige part. Idk the name 😭😭 So wherever you look, you'll see a reflection of the painting(lore) It's elegant and could fit with the spooky theme. Candles might also help the mood.
I love the idea that the secret rooms DON'T have functional things. Visitors won't naturally look around to find, eg, a bathroom behind a bookcase, if there's another more accessible one. That said, some ideas I'd LOVE to see in secret rooms: - ghoul-fighter training room - grandfather's secret mixology room (no brainer so no explanation) - grandfather's map room for all his worldly recipes, now REPURPOSED by the son!! - basement / attic has a TRAPPED SPIRIT - I know you did an office, but what about a TRAINING ROOM for when the son finally ventures into the underworld and has to fight grim reapers? It doesn't have to be a gym - you can have swords and "holy light" flashlights and things up, along with spooky paintings of his enemies to motivate him?? - a MAP ROOM/globe room with a planning board, left behind by the GRANDFATHER tracing out all of the drinks' recipes' origins, for his speakeasy. It makes sense that this room would have already have been top secret - The room could then have been repurposed! Maybe it was abandoned after the ambrosia recipe was found, or maybe, the maps still have
I need this as a survival horror game. You have to collect items(taro cards) to escape. Like a point and click game and a monster is roaming the house the whole time. HONESTLY OBSESSED
Here's a idea that im curious what yall can come up with. A library! A huge one with a historical/royalty era vibe/touch to it with multiple floors. Perhaps you can add a rooftop garden or maybe a small seating area to compliment the look! It's honestly up to you^^
One thing that stood out to me a lot was how blank the walls by the stairs felt in the foyer. Maybe make a bit of a collage with old/creepy art, or maybe some of those hanging candles (I forget what they’re called😭)

It would be super cool if you added a laboratory! Since both the father and the son wanted the recipe for ambrosia it would be nice to see the space where they experimented. They could also have like chemistry or botanic background in their studies to make everything more interesting! Like if they were renowned scientists; and taking inspiration from other comments that were saying that the mom was a spy that wanted to take ambrosia then everything would make sense!!
the fake stairs should have the fool card, it fits better with it being the wrong stairs. tbh just looking into some tarot card major arcana meanings will give you oppertunity to make it fit so much better together by using the meanings of the cards as hints to the secrets:))
With the mother being a spy, you could make a hidden room with money in it and have the missing knife in there. Maybe a secret room that's behind the mothers closet? OR A room with a hidden staircase that leads to a hidden attic that only has a chair facing out of the window with a toy bear and knife? Also love you two!

Maybe in the bathroom you could have like mirrors on the walls where the pattern stuff are. The mirrors won't cover the wall but only the light beige part. Idk the name 😭😭 So wherever you look, you'll see a reflection of the painting(lore) It's elegant and could fit with the spooky theme. Candles might also help the mood.

I love the idea that the secret rooms DON'T have functional things. Visitors won't naturally look around to find, eg, a bathroom behind a bookcase, if there's another more accessible one. That said, some ideas I'd LOVE to see in secret rooms:
- ghoul-fighter training room
- grandfather's secret mixology room (no brainer so no explanation)
- grandfather's map room for all his worldly recipes, now REPURPOSED by the son!!
- basement / attic has a TRAPPED SPIRIT
- I know you did an office, but what about a TRAINING ROOM for when the son finally ventures into the underworld and has to fight grim reapers? It doesn't have to be a gym - you can have swords and "holy light" flashlights and things up, along with spooky paintings of his enemies to motivate him??
- a MAP ROOM/globe room with a planning board, left behind by the GRANDFATHER tracing out all of the drinks' recipes' origins, for his speakeasy. It makes sense that this room would have already have been top secret - The room could then have been repurposed! Maybe it was abandoned after the ambrosia recipe was found, or maybe, the maps still have
I need this as a survival horror game. You have to collect items(taro cards) to escape. Like a point and click game and a monster is roaming the house the whole time.

I was totally on the wavelength with the basement to the crypt, and I was thinking it could have a secret underground tunnel that connects to the main house :0 And I know y'all already put in a grand piano, but when I was thinking what other spooky things could be added around, I pictured a big haunted organ on the upper balcony thing above the ~foyer~ to set the creepy ambience as soon as guests arrive

It would be super cool if you added a laboratory! Since both the father and the son wanted the recipe for ambrosia it would be nice to see the space where they experimented. They could also have like chemistry or botanic background in their studies to make everything more interesting! Like if they were renowned scientists; and taking inspiration from other comments that were saying that the mom was a spy that wanted to take ambrosia then everything would make sense!!

the fake stairs should have the fool card, it fits better with it being the wrong stairs. tbh just looking into some tarot card major arcana meanings will give you oppertunity to make it fit so much better together by using the meanings of the cards as hints to the secrets:))
