I would trade San Francisco for Taiwan

I dunno. I'm tempted to prefer a scorched Earth approach to San Francisco, on the off-chance someone wants to invade it.

"cases" are not an issue generally; it is the vulnerable population that needs to be protected

In human rights us have no rights to talk about that

Someones wanted a comment here. There is so much I could say. For example, about philosophy of international bodies and ramping up efforts within them. And many other things. What I can say is that I tend to take the simplifying view that Boston is or was until recently the Hub of the Universe. And if one understands the spread between observable reality in Boston, and the narrative that comes from Boston, then one can more easily comprehend the various issues discussed here quickly and through that prism. We need a new Domesday Book. Until we have one, it is, as Gen. Goldfein put it the other day in a Hoover video, “looking at a screen that is filled with nothing but falsehoods.” Ive spent 20 years in and around the Hub of the Universe. And nobody has yet to narrow a spread between the observable and stated, which began in September 2000, and reached its peak by December 2013. Populating streets with flashmobs of noninteractive sub-zombies for 20 years gives videoconference calls and news reports and financial information all the credibility they deserve.

What activity can we see that will incur an active reponse from the US, short of active military incursion?

Not Beijing's push: The missile Seller to Taiwan is doing the push. Selling a weapon to your child would definitely cause you to bring your child home as soon as possible.
China should surround these gun-boats with their hundreds of fishing vessels
like the sea battles of old, like the antics in chinese chess games. Can 1200 seamen
on an aircraft carrier deal with 200 fishing boats of modern design??? Not.
