Coincidentally I practiced for TAT with this picture 3 days back . I am sharing my story if you could please tell whether it is good or not? Thank you for your guidance in every video 🙏
Shyam 23 years old working graduate and only earner of bread in his family took responsibility of his family's expenses after his father succumbed to cancer . When his father was alive he was aiming to clear Civil Services exams and he was really working hard to achieve his goal but he had to drop his goal for few years as he had to support his family at that point of time because he belong to lower middle class family . His sister ,Riya, also wanted to prepare for Civil Services exams but one day their mother tried to convince Shyam so that he get his sister married as his mother was of orthodox thinking . Shyam thought if he could not achieve his goal due to harsh circumstances , this shouldn't happen with his sister so he wanted Riya to prepare and he supported her at every point of her preparation by providing required guidance and books . He worked relentlessly to fulfill Riya's dream and after one and half year his hardwork and support payed off . Riya being only Civil Services Officer from her family made her family proud . After getting posted Riya supported her brother to take up his dream and prepare for Civil Services Exams after 2 years he also passed the exam and they both made their whole family proud .

Hello sir.. I am an nda aspirant and have tried writing a story of different theme on this particular picture, I would be glad If you could please assess it..
Vikram was a manager in a telecom company. He lived with his mother and wife in an average sized house where he was born and brought up. Although he wanted to live in a bigger house than this one and was able to afford it too, but his mother was admanant to stay in that house as her husband's and his childhood memories are connected with it. Vikram argued with her on living a more comfortable life. Hence Aarti his wife listened to both arguments and convinced Vikram to renovate the house itself. They consulted a good civil engineer and agreed upon the blueprint. With this Aarti was able to value the emotions of his husband as well as of her mother in law.

Sir I have written the story on a different lines.
Shruti is 1st tear B.Ed student in Dhayanchandra College, Haryana. As the fees for second year was nearing she saw her parents stressed about it. She was already taking tutions and decided to increase tution hours. She took classes early morning from 6-7am before college and from 4-10 pm after college. She managed her college studies and extracurricular activities in the college itself. When it was time to pay the fees she was able to cover all the fees. Her parents were proud to see her dedication. She felt empowered and continued to manage the same routine until she completed her degree and help in the household expenses.

Shyam just completed his diploma in electronics branch, and he wants to work out but her mother don't want to let him go out because his placement is far away from his home town. He first persauded his sister and tells her how hard he worked to get placement in that company then he convinced his mother also by telling her about the financial services which he will get there. He also told her about how he will manage food and accommodation there and persauded her by promising her to meet her in a month or two. He also take help from her sister also whom he convinced earlier. In this way his family he s ready to go to the company and he managed to perform well in the company and come home when his boss permits him in a month or two to give some money for household expanses and to meet his family.

when you openly accept and portray the reality of harsh world, it can come out as being negative whereas if you take too idealistic an approach or so to say positive view, it becomes impractical and looks fake. i wonder how to find that sweet spot between the two most of the times? 🤔 also col nehru says so much harsh reality of the world, govt and even armed forces, that many ppl dont say or might even consider negative. why is it so? for eg once he told about how the training is not very scientific or many instructors beat around the bush by giving ragda but dont teach you stuff coz they dont know themselves or dont think about it that way. his answer about india vs china also follows the same line. i want to know if someone holds this pov should says things truthfully in every assessment in ssb. for eg: even if what col Nehru said about india v china or the capabilities of the govt were considered to be true, should a candidate say or write such things?

what u have written is true. It is tough to make a story like that but In the story, you should show that he is facing a real-life problem but he is determined and a troubleshooter so he overcomes the problem no bullshit that all. And even if you portray an organization negatively in the story it's ok as it is your personal opinion just write it what you think. you should not be bothered by what others will think about your thought.

    • @saianand4874
      @saianand4874 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Dear Akash, Since you have asked many questions, this'll be a big response to read and the reply is solely from my point of view.
      To answer your first question,
The SSB process is such that you are supposed to bring the best out of you and it becomes a "process" when you're told to do this under some time constraint. Imagine yourself as a commander of a Ship and you're surrounded by strong enemy ships from all front. Will you be thinking about the reality,i.e., not capable of fighting b'cuz they are strong and ultimately surrender or will you use your brain to find a solution. You can fight and defend till last until your help arrives.. see here's a solution, you found a sweet spot!.. doesn't that make sense.!To put it in simple words.. It tests you on your views and decision when you are put under a situation and expects you to give a responsible/appropriate solution not a good/ bad solution(cuz all responses are correct).
      To answer your second question,
Col. Nehru is not saying anything harsh about the world, govt, armed forces or any xyz entity. He's a being a crtitic. Critisim is way to different from being harsh. If you say yes to everything and pour praises, then it's not democracy we live in, it's a monarchy. Isn't that a NEWS to a civilian when he/she hears that proper training isn't provided in the academy by some ustads, defence people n brats might know this, but its a news to the world. None of the armed forces are the best when it comes training, n there's a famous dialogue of SRK from movie Swades -"Main nahin manta ki humara desh dunia ka sabse mahaan desh hai...lekin yeh zarur manta hun ki hum mein kaabliyat hai, taaqat hai, apne desh ko mahaan banaane ki.".
      To answer your third question,
It's a sad that we are not capable to fight with the PLA in some fronts, but that's the truth right? I assume that you are also an SSB aspirant, then you must know that one has to be truthful to oneself when it comes to SSB. I would give plus points for the bravery that one might potray and say that we'll fight till last to win against china, and that's stupidity. cuz that's what we did in '62. sort of.. we had less ration.. little to no ammunition.. no intel.. and we went on a war.. cuz back then our PM had yes mens and his advisors were not being truthful when it came to the assesment and planning of war..
I read this book called "Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw: The Man and His Times", where our FM Makeshaw stated that he would give no damn to his yes men and would keep them a few feets away.
So that's there to wind up... Many candidates turn upto Col. Nehru only beacuse of his nature that shows nothing but the truth. n like Col. Nehru had said.. he's no god but an avg person..
      Thanks
      -Anand
