Well cant we say it depends on how close the departed person was dear to you right. Obviously you can't attend the SSB with that berieved state of mind. So in my opinion it's better to stay back and not attend the SSB with an unsteady mind.
Communicate with relatives, inform them of the situation, give ssb with full josh, make the family and deceased proud, return and pay respects/complete rituals if any.
I will attend the SSB ..nd my point of view I can give better support through my recommendation.because the things (death) which happened we can't changed.
Sir in my opinion..i should go for the ssb.. because i have worked hard for it..and that opportunity can't be missed..after all life needs to move on..

just for eg this seems so normal to say ke ssb attend krlo but i personall faced this situation and i know ke us time ghr ke kya halt hoti hai muje sirf apne app ko he nhi ghr ke family member ko bhi sambhalna pdta hai and third person jo tumhare extended family sai ho unke hone na hone ka ptaa tk nhi chalta kyuki insan ka mind kise aur he soch mai hota hai aur us time apna khud ka family member ke sath rhe toh he mentally stable rha jata hai maan liya tum itne strong ho and you lost your father tb kya apni mummy ko aise he chord ke challe jaoge ssb that means ke us father ke koi value nhi hai bolna asan hai karna nhi that is my POV

In my opinion going for the SSB is feasible and more practical as i am not the only person in family and here as its a situation i would like to imagine its a person who is not close to my nearby family and old aged

In my real life, i choose exam that held after 2-3 days.. I prefer to attempt my exam..in this case, i also attend the SSB

I'll Situation : I will call my relative for taking care of my mother after attending my office I will take her to hospital.

Once a death happen nothing can be changed so go for SSB your presence does not effect that much so after attending SSB then I will attend rituals.
Go to the SSB, give your best, visit the family later... My relatives would never like me skipping SSB and will 100% understand the situation.
