I seen a video of a guy arguing that there’s a misconception on Ducati’s being considered the Ferrari of the bike world. He suggests MV fits that description more so. I’ve always had that same sentiment, and this Assen edition really hammers that point home. This Brutale Assen edition is absolutely gorgeous and bada$$ at the same time. Awesome review.
I totally agree with you. I think Ducati used to be that. But since the late 2000's, Ducati has expanded as brand that is now available to everyone at every riding and financial level. The sourcing and quality of components has also changed to serve the masses. Not MV. MV Agusta is the last true high-end Italian made motorcycle. Hi! You and I spoke on the phone yesterday. :) The naked bikes are very close in performance since they have the same engine. I'd say the Rush and Assen would be on top of that list. The F4CC, when it was released, was one of the fastest and most powerful sportbikes around. But not anymore.

Victor, quick question. I live in Virginia(wife and I are now in South Africa on Safari trip vacation), and there is a MV Agusta dealership in Dulles but they are not 'exclusively' MV, like you guys are. But, they do work on MV bikes(all the models), but they don't have the variety like you guys and the salesman told me that it would take 2 months to get either the Rush limited or Assen Limited edition and that's if they can not find the bike at the shipping port, which is located in Richmond, Virginia. There are other master mechanics that can do maintenance on the MV Agusta such as LL7 motorcycle mechanics of Stafford, Virginia. But, I like the variety that you guys have and the "immediate" ability to get the motorcycle by flying to La and renting a car and small enclosed trailer to drive back to Virginia. My only question is this; if I buy the MV Agusta from you guys, will the Dulles, Virginia dealership, by law or otherwise, have to do all my warranty work and/or maintenance if I decide to bring it to them to work on? And, oh before I forget(revised this question), between the Assen and the Rush Limited, which of these motorcycles are more upright and more comfortable to ride for a longer distance if you are standing 6'2" tall ?
Hi! Sorry for the late reply. Quite the busy week this week. As of yesterday, there were still two Rushes available at MV for dealer orders. Only 23 or so exist in the US, FYI. Getting one to a dealer should not take more than a couple weeks, maybe 3. The Assen is a different story. Only 12 are arriving early next month and I believe they are all spoken for. Believe it or not, I have 7 of those allocated to my shop which are all reserved...BUT...as I'm going through the second phase of confirmations, there might be one available. Let me know if you'd like to be notified if one becomes available. Regarding warranty work at any MV shop; I believe that as an authorized MV dealer, we are obligated to perform warranty work by way of our Dealer Agreement with MV (or any OEM), not legally. If we were to decline, I believe that would violate some part of our dealer agreement with MV. I hope I'm making sense there. In terms of the Rush vs. Assen ergos, the Rush is more comfortable, it has a taller handlebar. I hope this helps! If you want to fly in and take a Rush home, I have one left. @@markettradinggenius I can also ship to you for $600. In terms of reliability, there aren't any common issues with the latest MV 1000's like the Rush and incoming Assen. I don't have much experience with Hayabusas.

I seen a set of those exact wheels disintegrate on a Panigale while on a smooth track. Luckily the owner was not badly injured but was high sided.. NG!

I think MV is more like the PAGANI of the bike World. Better design, better performance than a Ferrari.
