- On the evening of August 17th 1995, Michael Jackson gave his first cyberchat to fans. The so-called "Simulchat" brought together users of American internet providers Compuserve, America Online, Prodigy and the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) to simultaniously submit questions. MTV (USA) also televised a live transcript of the chat. Over 16,000 people attended the chat on America Online alone. The event took place in the boardroom of The Museum Of Television & Radio in midtown Manhattan. Michael was seated at the long boardroom table surrounded by representatives from all of the online services - who were seated in front of their laptops dialed-in to their respective services. Questions were selected on a 'round-robin' basis from each of the services, Michael would answer the questions, and the representatives would type his answers back to their service.

He just wanted to do this because it was a great chance to connect with fans in an alternative way and because online interaction was so odd back in the day he wanted to give it a try. I swear media was always trying the hardest they could to give Michael a bad image no matter the reason!

I’ll say no. And the reason being is because Lisa allowed people to make her feel embarrassed about being with Michael
