Looks good system. I have owned many different brolly systems over the years I find the plastic nipple on the top tends to let water in after quite a bit of use then I end up using mastic to prolong the life to seal the unit I am sure we have all had a brolly dripping water on the bedchair I do like the strength system on the front decent bag also
I certainly liked it and believe it suits my type of fishing. Obviously only time will tell with the brolly head. Yes its very well thought out. The sleeping bag is also the Tactical bag, decent for the summer, but coupled with a cover its bang on :)
Looks quality martyn, I have the original mhr brolly and it's been great but the sides are slightly small, this looks like a great upgrade to be honest, thanks for the look at it, tight lines mate😉👍
I had the MKII Mhr and couldnt fault it. This certainly took my fancy earlier in the year when I first saw it and finally after all this worldwide aggro I've been able to finally get one and use it! :)
@@MartynsAnglingAdventures agree with the aggro of getting stuff 🤦 think I'll prob get one if I can find it in stock, do you know how much the infill panels are for the front?
Thanks for the review. I think their big miss here is a door panel that has BOTH mozzi mesh and solid panels. Currently, you have to opt with either the mozzi mesh panel or the solid panel... not at all good for damp insect-ridden nights. COME ON WYCHWOOD, JUST BRING THIS OUT AND ITS PERFECT.
The question was asked and based on their own feedback from the market people wanted to be able to choose between what door they wanted etc.. Not to say there won't be one in the future but I guess they can't please everyone. Guess they went with the most popular option and like I say may revisit the option in the future.
@@MartynsAnglingAdventures yeah I spoke to them on this and they said the same. Thing is, it rains a lot here and theres a lot of mozzis, so a door that caters for both is key. Otherwise its perfect... big fan of Wychwood in general - hope they bring it out.
Yes the Bedchair has a flat back. I prefer mine nearer the front of the Brolly so I can put all my luggage at the back but yes you can more it more to the back.
@@MartynsAnglingAdventures thanks I'm new to it so can see the advantage of having it further forward and being able to push it back in crappy weather as well.. thanks for the reply I appreciate it . Atb
Nice review bud. Just one thing, does that extra support pole for the front of the brolly attach to the spokes of the brolly or is there another way to attach it that I’m missing as the clips either end seem to big for the spokes? Ta
Hello Steve, I'm not sure on the size of your bed but with the flat back on the brolly it does utilise space really well. Here are some approximate dimensions that might help. DEPTH mm - 1400mm HEIGHT mm - 1200mm WIDTH mm - 2400mm
There isnt an overwrap but there are a couple of different zip in front options such as mozzi mesh and full door. They may bring out a overwrap in the future but I haven't seen or heard of one myself yet.
Nice review. Have you had any issues with the storm pole clips inside the brolly catching on the ribs when opening? I’ve used mine twice, both times the clip has caught around the rib and stressed the fabric, the last time, it has pulled the heat seal tape off at the base of the clip so it now leaks 🥴
Thanks Gareth! It was my first time using it this weekend and didn't have any issues. Although I personally would email Wychwood any feedback you have as its all constructive and helps any tweaks for the future. I will certainly keep an eye out next time I use it though.
Does that large handle for setting up get in the way (of ur head) when u have the bed chair quite far back...wish it was more like the MHR brolly personally...
To be honest I don't really spend much time on my bedchair apart from sleeping. As its slightly lower then I can imagine it would but I prefer having my bed more to the front and my stuff stashed behind me.
Great review, I’m trying to decide between this, the JRC stealth bloxx 2 G shelter and the Wychwood HD MHR. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? It’s mainly for day sessions and the odd summer night... thanks 👍
For day sessions and overnighters here or there its deffo the tactical. The Tactical range is made for lightweight, being mobile and doing sessions here and there. its up in seconds, few pegs and done! Packed full of features! No brainer!
Thank for this been looking at these a while

I love mine!
Looks a good set up with some tidy features and options great review as well
Its a very affordable compact brolly which utilises space really well :)
Thanks Martyn. Looking for a brolly system and this was very useful
No problem! Glad it was of some help :)
Nice review Martyn, just ordered mine, been waiting ages for this.👍

Show type demo there Martyn, very impressive! 😆👌👍
paul lawrence lol! I wouldn’t go that far! Just an up close and personal look at the brolly :)
Great vid mate.
Needs an overwrap to make it more versatile
There maybe one in the future but the idea of the tactical brolly is to be lightweight and mobile. There is a full front landing very soon.

Good review mate 👍.
I do apologise if I missed that part but what bedchair do you have in there so i can rough idea on size against mine ?
Hello, Thanks for the feedback! I have the Wychwood Tactical X Flatbed Compact. It is roughly ‐ 2000mm L x 780mm W ‐ 7.5kg.
Nice review bud. Just one thing, does that extra support pole for the front of the brolly attach to the spokes of the brolly or is there another way to attach it that I’m missing as the clips either end seem to big for the spokes? Ta
Exactly that. Clips to the spokes and slide it forward into the clip at the middle
In the front. They are big but they don’t move. 👍🏻
Thanks skipper! Much appreciated
Love my brolly ,but getting a front for it is impossible,
Do you no when back in stock 👍👍
July I think.
how you getting on with this martyn? just about to buy one but can't find much on em only your vid
Love mine! Use it all year round
Can you show me how that peak bar fit as we have had issues with it and there is no clip on point
Hi, I no longer use this brolly so I cannot show you I’m afraid.
Much better review than that new pillock
🫣🤭
Martyn that looks like a really decent brolly, will an ngt large sleep system fit inside?

I will have to measure it for you Justin.

Justin Steel it’s 6ft in its bag buddy.

Is it this dark green on the outside ore is it a bit less darker than it is looks in the video?
It’s the usual Bivvy/Brolly green
Good job ty

Hey mate does that wychwood chair in this video fit on the bed?
Yes it’s the smallest chair in the range and kinda of works as like a bed buddy.
How much?.
£199 but I’m sure if you shop around you could save some £‘s
What size bed chair do you use in it
I personally use the smalllest Tactical Bedchair but thats because I like to be mobile and any less weight the better.
