Pretty good save, Nick! I like the addition of the wood part. Was wondering, if you should re-visit this in the future, if stacking the records up and drilling a series of holes in them before the resin so it makes resin pegs to hold the records together better. Stronger, if you will. I played the video back several times and it almost looked like one of the paper record labels was the culprit in the piece coming apart. Keep 'em coming, Nick!
The fact that your lathe (?) says "Record Power" on it, while you're doing this completely cracked me up. Even though it may not have "gone as planned", the outcome is still fantastic.
👍👍👍👍👍🤜🤛 I don’t know what you planned on but what it turned out it came out really nice. I like what it came out with the wood in the records came out really nice. Nice job.
Nick's Parents : "So Nick, here is our treasured vinyl singles collection that has given us great pleasure over the years and we're entrusting it to you so you can preserve it and pass it on to the Zammeti generations to come" Nick : "Hmmm, preserve it!" So you've given me an idea on what to do with my Dad's old collection of 78s. Not sure if his mini-disc collection would turn as well though ;-)
Always enjoy your videos. Not as much as when you are waffling, but these are all good. And, Like DJMarco, I cringed when I saw the piece go flying. Great recovery and redesign, it turned out GREAT!
Two things, one - I really hope you saved the swarf from this, as that'd be REALLY cool as a project and two - what about smashing the records before you turn them so you get totally random colours coming through?
i can remember coming arcoss this channel years ago, and thought so thats how you make a wooden bowl. now its turned in to one of my five a day 😁. with its staples of wacky Funkadelic!, and full of suprises with every serving😊 keep up the good work 😊 simon
If you decide to turn records again you won’t be able to see the face of the records so what if you sand them with a coarse sandpaper first to give the epoxy something to hold to rather than a fairly smooth surface?
tu fais a chaque fois l'erreur de mettre la résine sur le matériel ( feuille de couleur, tissu, .. ) il n'y a pas de résine entre les disques, normale que ca casse.
Really hoping every one of those records were already bust else it seems pretty wasteful to destroy old records like that, anything on those are gone forever and at the end you're left with a bowl that can be replaced with anything else. I'm always down to see something new made but no one has respect for the past, and it's always a shame to see a bit of culture destroyed for no real purpose or gain.
I love your videos and you have no problem showing when sh*t goes wrong. I have been watching your other channel for a while now and love it. I wish you would narrate more. I enjoy your vid because you add a little comedy etc and these vids are missing that. I hope you decide to add a little more voice over.
The finished item probably came out better than your original plans. Love the finished result.
I love the rippling effect of the records. It gives it a character, love it.
Happy Accidents! 🌈❤
Brilliance just Brilliance 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
That’s a record-breaking piece Nick, well done.👍🏻👍🏻
I just audibly yelled "OH NO!" when it came off the lathe. The people in my office think I'm a freak now, lol.
You done done it again!! Turned what could have been a disaster into a work of art. Beautiful save. The rippled records were the perfect accent.

I love that your lathe is Record Power - its perfect for turning vinyls!
I love this.. With the colors and the pattern that the ruffled records gave it, it has almost a retro '80s vibe to it!!
Heart wrenching seeing all that vintage vinyl wrap😢.... but still came out cool in the end.😎👍👍👍
You should put a small spacer between the records. It might help keep them together
👍👍👍👍👍🤜🤛 I don’t know what you planned on but what it turned out it came out really nice. I like what it came out with the wood in the records came out really nice. Nice job.
I know that you can do something with the other pieces. You've got the gift!!

When somebody gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Well done.
Probably one of your fastest vids .. must be a record ....
Still turned out really cool 😎
Nice save there
Awsome as usual ❤
Another great video. My brain wants to see another one done with the records standing on end.
I was hoping that you set a new record for spinning the most platters. Well done on the recovery.
Love it dude!
That turned out great with the warped records.
As always, our unflappable Nick makes lemonade out of lemons. What a beautiful creation. 🎉😊 How sweet and refreshing it is! ❤
Thanks again!
It’s pretty!
Try it in layers....a few inches of wood, then the discs, over and over, it will look cool.
great outcome. now you have more vinyl to make a couple of matching pieces.
That’s a world record bowl nick love it 🎉❤
I'd love to see a set of 3 of these bowls I think it would look amazing
I'm curious if you glazed each record in resin by pouring a small bit of resin between each record, if that would have helped? Just a thought.
Awesome job Nick, now you have to do something with the rest of those pieces, very beautiful result! :)
Thanks 👍
Good save 👍🏼👏
When you had that "slipped disc," I thought, "Oh no," but it turned out great in the end.
That turned out really neat
It's very very beautiful 😊😊
Nice Nick have a great weekend ✌️
Try similar with layers of old skateboards. S’nice results. Cheers nick
Beautiful!!!
Beautiful! What causes the records to warp?
If you do this one again try and have them on edge and pore it that way
Wow, It is a beauty!
Amazing modification.
Great save
I can just hear bits and pieces of songs, as you are turning it on the lathe!
WOW Nick! That's beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
🎶You spin me right ‘round baby, right ‘round…🎶
Always enjoy your videos. Not as much as when you are waffling, but these are all good. And, Like DJMarco, I cringed when I saw the piece go flying. Great recovery and redesign, it turned out GREAT!
I haven't seen it yet, I hope you used the fast resin so they all melted a bit
What a waste of good vinal! But boy it looks great 😊
Two things, one - I really hope you saved the swarf from this, as that'd be REALLY cool as a project and two - what about smashing the records before you turn them so you get totally random colours coming through?
Would a hexagonal or octagonal box save you a lot of wasted resin?
I miss hearing your voice with your colorful commentary! Nice save. It turned out beautiful. God Bless!🐢🇺🇲
Thanks 👍
Hate that it flew off the lathe! but you still made a "funky" project.
Nice job loved the quirkiness but you should have sold them on you could have made a few quid 👍✨
Good save.
Nice save, fiesta bowl ❤
Thank you! 😊
That came out pretty cool looking. When it flew off the lathe I thought you might have to make a frisbee out of it lol.
Super awesome
i can remember coming arcoss this channel
years ago,
and thought so thats how you make a wooden bowl.

keep up the good work 😊
simon
Yeah! Nothing wrong with some woodturning. I get my fix in🙂
And funkadelic style too🙂
puts a new twist on spinning records
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Funkadelic!
It looked like weird weird pancakes and syrup at first 😂
If you decide to turn records again you won’t be able to see the face of the records so what if you sand them with a coarse sandpaper first to give the epoxy something to hold to rather than a fairly smooth surface?
Very nice😉😉
Thanks 🤗
Shouldnt you put the records in 1 by 1 so the resine would gkue them together? Won't the core be lose ??
love it
Turning idea: sunflowers.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nooooooooo vintage vinyls! Nooooooo! But nice result :)
haha thank you x
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I’m sure those coloured vinyls are (were) worth a lot of money 💵 💴 💰
Your vinyls are telling you This is a no no..lol. It did turn out pretty. Could you use the rest ?
Holycrap
Nice save! Know what I'm sayin'?? 😊
❤️
aaaaaah, that's better.
Should've poured the epoxy infest then lay one record at a time so it would get saturated on both sides completely!!
tu fais a chaque fois l'erreur de mettre la résine sur le matériel ( feuille de couleur, tissu, .. ) il n'y a pas de résine entre les disques, normale que ca casse.
It's a shame that it broke. Was looking amazing before it decided to go for a walk.
👍
Now what will you do with the rest of the records?
Where is the waffle version of this?
Nooooooooooooo😢
Oh no
It’s shame it came apart
Of course he just destroyed $1,000 of historic discs. Could of sold them and got a new lath
Hope you checked there was nothing rare !
