As a glaucoma patient, I appreciate your informative videos on the subject. It’s a terrible disease. Keep spreading the word. I tell everyone how important it is to get their eyes examined regularly and have their IOP checked. Thank you!
Thanks sooo much!! 🤗This is one of the most succinct videos I've seen explaining what glaucoma is, the eye pressure tests, and the tests that are used in monitoring for glaucoma. Shared it with various people.
I have thick cornea in my left eye, and my pressure is high. They usually have to test me twice with two different pressure tests. I’ve had glacoma since I was little. I’m 52 years old.
My sister has stage 4 Breast cancer as diagnosis with mets to lymph nodes, diabetes and later developed a rare form call Medullary thyroid cancer, she have just 2 years to live and she never been this scared to die, she just 37, i cry everyday wishing for a miracle to happen. i don't know why I'm saying this here. put me in your prayers.
im really sorry. i've was in such situation 15 months ago. i had just 2 months to live till a friend told me about a healer who helped me. She cured me, I don't know how she did it. but i owe her my life. she's the reason i'm alive today.
Thanks so much for this video. Approx 2.5 years ago an eye Dr said I had Glaucoma because my eye pressure was 20. I have been putting those nasty eye drops in my eyes every day and going for eye tests every 4 months. I’m 70 years old and very healthy and this diagnosis caused me a lot of anxiety. A friend suggested I see another Dr that she recommended. I found out my optic nerves are very healthy and I was told to discontinue the drops after a week which I did. I went back after 5 weeks and was told the pressure was 16 and my eyes are very healthy. How do you think I felt with this wrong diagnosis. The doctor told me he sees this happening frequently!!!!
Great question! I should have said something about this in the video. Usually, when people have a pressure feeling in their eye, it's actually from around or behind the eye. This can be from sinus pressure, eye muscle strain (either the muscles outside or inside), inflammation around the eye, dry eye, or sometimes a corneal issue or infection. All of these can give you a sensation of the pressure in your eye being high, but will still have "normal" eye pressure.
@@DrEyeGuy Thank you. I had an allergy symptoms for several months. Only blood test on some popular allergens was negative. Whatever it was, it affected my eyes as well. And yes I had some itching and tired eyes. I used manuka honey drops and cream which you recommended with good results
❤plz❤ can u do an update on warm compress masks the one i found was 3yrs ago I know the products still exist. But I just want to avoid having a product that needs me to re buy pads I prefer an electric option Tysm for ur great content
@Dr. EyeGuy, thank you for your informative videos! I have a question: I have serious dry eye and may also need soon a lowering IOP drop (IOP sometimes jumps up to 25), but most of these drops contain preservative BAK which would cause damage to the eye, and it is really bad for dry eye patients. What IOP drops could you recommend to a dry eye patient running IOP 23-25, in terms of safety of the eye surface ? Thank you!
I have OH of 18-22 from around april 2024 to sept 2024. My doc. Advise to have Yag pi as my pressure was inbetween 22 to 24 from October 2024 to dec 2024. Here they have only used air puff test for examination.. I took second opinion the other doc. said there is no need of YAG PI he mentioned that they usually advised YAG PI if the pressure is above 28 and if it not getting lower by drops. In this scenario what should I do. The second doctor have advised me to have perimetery and OCT-disc examination. Could you please provide your opinion thanks in advance ❤ I took second ooini

Thank you for sharing. Those thicker corneas really can make it tricky sometimes.

20 eye pressure is not glaucoma. Glaucoma is 21-22. That evil doctor lied to you so he can make money from drops
Why I felt high pressure, but when they measured it it was not high? The ofthalmologist said it was a subjective feeling

Hey Doc? Can you make a video about Optic Disc Pit. Been diagnosed right now with this condition
How would you treat the "" Normal eye Presses Glaucoma" ??
Lowering the eye pressure even lower is still the treatment, which can be tricky.
@@DrEyeGuy Thanks very much
What bout laser surgery?
Yes, laser surgeries like SLT and LPI are viable options for glaucoma treatment.
