    Totally agree. I have a 500 grit hybrid on fresh. 2nd game hybrid box finish. Can’t wait to drill this ball. Paid an arm and a leg for this ball on eBay. Can’t wait to drill it. Hopefully when I buy the obsession solid for me at Christmas time it will be just as good. Great video. Gonna watch again. 😀😀.

    Been looking to try a hammer ball but nothing really stood out for me for what I’m looking for. This is what I’m looking for. I’m looking for a strong pearl but not a ball that’s not gonna hook for most of the lane then have a super sharp turn. This is a great ball that almost seems more like a hybrid.

    I looking versatile ball for med and heavy oil. Statment solid ? Or statment pearl?
    Or both?

      Bobly Bob depends on your game and budget. Pearl is probably a bit more versatile overall.

    I really like the thoroughness and detail in your ball reviews...good stuff! Question since you've thrown both recently...how does the Statement Pearl compare to the Ebonite Choice Pearl? I'd assume they're pretty close, just curious if you saw any subtle differences between the two. Thanks!

      Gary W statement pearl responds to friction a bit quicker than the choice pearl. I would say the choice pearl is closer to the ripd pearl.

      TamerBowling I have a release that is halfway between yours and Brian’s hook wise, and Brian speed wise. Would you suggest the choice Pearl, or Statement Pearl, and since you mentioned it, the Ripd Pearl.

      Megan Moon statement pearl is the one that will match up to more bowlers in my opinion.

    My Storm Intense is a pretty cool ball. Avg. 186 last year. My trying a different shape. Would this statement be a helpful ball for me... Thank you 😃

      Alan Merrill adding the statement pearl when you have an intense, don’t think that will add enough versatility. Adding the statement solid, sure.

    I have a black widow black and gold. I want to get another ball and really like hammer. The house shot I play on is very long heavy oil up the middle and bone dry on the outside. Would either of these options be a good idea for those condition and if so which one. My black widow if I don't get it out far enough will not have enough to come back to the pocket. But if I throw it out I have to open up my angles tremendously other wise its going Brooklyn

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      fa between the 2 from what you say, it would have to be the solid. It will react from misses in and will not be quite as quick off the dry as the widow. You might also want to consider balling down into something like the web tour and get a little closer to the friction.

    • @fa3428
      @fa3428 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TamerBowling thanks for the reply. That might be a good option but for some reason I'm not too comfortable playing a straighter line standing further right. But then again for these lanes maybe I should switch it up.

    • @tylerstine784
      @tylerstine784 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is incorrect tammer lol I throw a black widow on this kind of condition too. Healthy middle and dry on the outside this solid is going to react 10x worse than that widow from the friction I promise you that. It's a matte ball the surface is in direct contact with the lane. The polish from the pearl or any ball will be the key to that pattern. You want to open your angles on patterns like that. It gives you miss area all over the board not just in the middle. Go with the pearl if your dead set on one of these drill it up long and strong and open your angles

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tylerstine784 You're the expert :-) Seriously though you wouldn't play the Solid in the friction. I never said that. You have to read what he said. The black and gold isn't making it back when missing inside. That means that it's a heavily walled house shot. So using the statement pearl will create a worse situation. Solid will blend better. He can play in the oil and the solid will be strong enough from the wet. And if he leaks it a little it will start earlier and still react to dry. Not as quick as the pearl but you don't want quicker reaction to dry on what he is seeing. You want big scores, you have to understand what the right situation for the right ball is.

    • @tylerstine784
      @tylerstine784 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TamerBowling you said it wouldnt be quite as quick off the dry as the widow. According to the numbers and the surface that is incorrect sir. Sorry to tell ya but that solid is not going to like those dry boards one bit throw it out it's more than likely going to burn up and lose its energy. The pearl is no doubt the best ball for a Christmas tree pattern it allows you to play all over that lane and retain the energy you need. The feet are the part of the equasion the bowler must figure out
