She lost her life to ovarian cancer at 39 years old, and I vividly remember listening to this song with her a month before she passed. She didn't tell me she had ovarian cancer until the 1st April 2012, and I thought it was the worst April Fools joke ever. Unfortunately it wasn't, and when I hear this, I envision myself visiting her in hospital. All her feigned beauty, her pain, her transcendence. Thank you for this piece.
