I was flying DAL Airbus a220 the other day and me and another passenger were crying walking into the plane because I have not been on a plane other than my own in a year and I was heading out west to SLC to go skiing which i had not done in a year either.
Great Trip Report. I’m glad it wasn’t foggy in TXL for the arrival. Always lovely to fly on a wide body on a domestic flight. I’m glad Lufthansa put the aircraft on their last service. ✈️
They have opened the new airport BER Brandenburg airport. It´s purpose is just to merg the two Tegel and Schonefeldt into one main airport, as there is no point in having two in the same city. Thats the reason they are closing down TXL, since its old and no point having two airports.
What is with Tegel closing? Is it just Lufthansa discontinuing their service or is the aerport shutting altogether? Sorry, I am missing something here. Excellent video, Lad.
Back in 2012, I flew with Air Berlin from Frankfurt to Berlin Tegel. I saved everything I could, well was a poor student back then. Now I can see the historic nature and shall redo the film. Back then I expected tegel to be closed soonish. Now it is closed and I did not fly due to the circumstances. Maybe soon again. Well DYK that they used to have a Lufthansa 707 as a gatekeeper at Tegel? They even offered that plane for the Deutsche Museum but they didn't take that. It is not cool that Lufthansa neglected that aircraft. Now that plane will meet the scrapper soon.
a new airport (Berlin Brandenburg) opened, replacing Tegel and Schönefeld. so tegel had to close because theres only enough personnel for 1 airport, also the area around tegel is now less noisy
@@airbus_a320neo We will see how Brandenburg proves against demand of air travel these days. We are seeing the Stapleton or the Riem problem here. Stapleton was an airport between two townships in Denver, CO. Riem was near Trudering Bavaria , both in a highly populated area. This is the problem these days. You can't build airports in highly populated areas and think everyone is happy with that. This is the issue. Where aircraft are, there is always noise.
On a short flight it doesn’t matter, also, you know, business class costs more and the flight was rather popular which is no surprise, so business maybe was already full when they booked
AMAZING Thumbnail!
Congrats on being pinned
U haven't posted anything for three years!

Foggy, snowy and rainy flights are my favorite.

On your flight the Captain was Martin Hoell, the same Captain was recorded on PilotsEYE Tv series on flight from Munich to Boston.
Even though this video is mainly about TXL, I love seeing videos about my home airport, Munich.
Great video! I’ll be flying to the BER next year.
Felix and David you always capture the best moments. Thanks for sharing and cheers from Australia 🦘
It’s been a tough year for the industry but props for keeping at it. It’ll only get better from now on

U give the most clear tutorials and it makes me want to fly more
Beautiful a350😍😍😍❤️❤️ I think the most cool part is the cockpit window is so unique
My god that visibility in Tegel. Seems cool but eerie at the the same time!
Edit: Munich not Tegel
Looks like a very nice plane. Thanks for taking us along on your trip.
Captain Martin Hoell! Of course he would be the one taking you to Berlin! Awesome video as always!
Das Flugzeug sieht sehr schön aus. Danke schön Flughafen Tegel! sehr emotional🥺
Good work! I flew the return to Munich :D
R.I.P Tegel Airport
amazing plane! Why did you choose 21 seat with a view on the wing instead of a seat forward of the wing to have an engine view as well?
unfortunately i could not choose another one as this was the last available window seat
I always watched your videos since Long ago keep up the good work!
Hey @simply Avaition, i love your content a lot. Thank you for recording these flights and posting them onto youtube
Great trip report! I was on the flight back, the very last flight of the Lufthansa Group from TXL, and I sat on 22K, exactly one seat behind you :)!
Отлично! Идет налет часов и тест на короткие дистанции , нарушений не будет , перейдет на дельные💛 Плюс не так обидно, что закрывают.
Glad to see a350 again
You will see that plane for decades
I still loving Berlin Tegel
So sad😢 but great video!
amazing, the captain is featured in Pilotseye TV on the Lufthansa A350
Munich used to be silent airport without any announcements. How come there was announcement?
Bruh idk why David isn’t doing tripreports anymore
That’s tru, why?
No, that's not true haha. I do a lot of Tripreports, it just happened that the last few were all from Felix.
@@simply_aviation damn he replied hi btw
@@simply_aviation thx for telling me that!
David is doing either the trip report of the last ever flight from Berlin or the vlog
What a beautiful video!
Very emotion flight, perfect, in such a beautiful airplane!!
Are you traveler?hahha hey im always watching your videos it is so fun😀😀😀😀😀😀😘😘😘
Yes
Yes😃 👍finally next amazing trip report thank you patrick.
Wait, will the plane depart from Tegel tho? Or is it just gonna remain there forever...the latter seems highly unlikely
Probably will fly out of that airport without pax lol
Thanx for this one. Maybe next time a longer flight during daytime. A-350-900 my favorite airliner.
I love A380 aircraft
I have a question: why did you upload this after the video of the last flight? Just curious
Because the last flight was more important, so I uploaded it first.
Damn, the visibility in Munich tho...
finally the new airport is ready!
it's nice to see tegel again😀
*this gives me travel vibes*
So, how many flights to/from Berlin Tegel did Simply Aviation take?
The carousal right next to the gate caught me off guard. How many airports have this anymore?!
great trip report! It looks interesting to fly in foggy weather
WHY the airport is closing permanently??
They have opened the new airport BER Brandenburg airport. It´s purpose is just to merg the two Tegel and Schonefeldt into one main airport, as there is no point in having two in the same city. Thats the reason they are closing down TXL, since its old and no point having two airports.

They are replacing it with the new Brandenburg airport.
Brandenburg airport has finally opened and there’s no need for 2 major airports
@@tomstravels520 "there is no need for 2 airports"... right now. Future will tell.
@@Canleaf08 Brandenburg is much bigger than Tegel and Berlin is not a major hub for many airlines like Munich or Frankfurt
Righto. Thanks, Lads, for the information. Cheers.
when was this recorded?
It says so in the left upper corner right at the beginning of the video, as well as the description.
What a amazing experience you had there to Berlin Tegel hope you enjoyed it
