Great theme and comments. Having said that, we obviously have a different government system than the Israelites or Christians in the first century, in that we can vote. Since voting is a part of our society, should we use it to open the most accessible route to reach the lost? In other words, would voting for someone hinder or help what we are striving to accomplish? We seem to have made abortion the measuring stick of who we support. While it is certainly a very important topic to consider, it is not the only one. There are ideologies of both candidates to which I agree and disagree. Some see that, some don't. And that's ok. One shining point you made which I think is at the crux of this topic is if someone who votes differently than you affects. how you treat or talk to them, you've made politics your idol. Well done, brothers.

From what I got from this video is:---God raises up the leaders, the politicians and so we are to let God do this ...BUT... God (from what I learned and think) works through people to accomplish His choices soooooo ....maybe God will SPEAK to each of us as to how to vote or not to vote, ...hummmmm. Now in the scriptures it does say something to the effect" come , let us reason together"...I think we are to make the best choice we can using our knowledge of the Bible and let Jesus take care if it...hummmm A bit confusing, still

I am saddened by this discussion. The preacher of the church I am part of also takes your stance about not getting involved in politics. From what I understand, there is evil and good, darkness and light in this world. You say vote but it doesn't really matter because we're sojourners here.
Is abortion a political issue or sin issue?
Is gender reassignment a political issue or a sin issue?
Is homosexuality a political issue or sin issue?
Which country has helped to spread the gospel to other countries and peoples more?
