- Pictures are worth a thousand words, but that doesn’t mean words can’t be handy. If you take lots of photos for keepsakes, you might want to add in a date and time stamp to help jog your memory. While most standalone cameras offer the feature, if you’re using the camera built into your android phone, things are a bit more complicated. Here’s what you need to know.
Open Camera:

Very nice!
I'll be 77 years old in September and I had no problems following Guiding Tech's instructions. I'm a property owner and I wanted to timestamp the photos of how rotten tenants leave my property. This will really help me.

The options using "Open Camera" is much more than I expected, whoever designed and created this application for Android phones has extreme talent.
Well done Sir . Just what I needed. One word of advice. You need to alter the settings in Stamp photos.
Very informative easy clear video great work.
Thanks man, this helped me get the desired result!
From south Africa Thanks for making me understand the open camera great vedio 💜💛♥️💙💚🇿🇦🙌🏽🏆
Any Idea how to make the app take photos at fixed intervals and take a defined no of shots. building a data base to check my borehole pump delivery rate to enable me to plot economic graph.
Very helpful thanks 😊
Very helpful. way less headache than I thought it would be. We live in the age of "Trust, but verify" lol interesting origins on that phrase. Now I can sell some junk and the buyer will know it's actually in my possession. All for like 30 seconds of Google and maybe 1 minute of watching this, well done. Thanks for helping make our lives a little easier, usually other human beings thrive on doing the exact opposite lol.
Does this work with photos you have already taken.
downloading the app now, compiling evidence (especially photo evidence) is damning when it comes to certain agencies who try to get out of responsibilities that they are supposed to attend to, the mongrels think It is my responsibility, I am not a lawyer but they are barking up the wrong tree.
This app works well, changed a few other settings as others in the comments section have mentioned to suit my needs, the ability to change these settings and more is a valuable tool for so many reasons.
I never dreamed that I would ever be in this mess but I had been dating a lovely lady from Alabama for about a year. I live in Kentucky. We are both retired. We were taking month about living at both locations. Around a month ago I was there and broke it off..I had bought her 3 different engagement rings..increasing in value. Luckily I got the last ring back. Since I left she has petitioned for an EPO and Stalking charges. She has lied and claimed that she has been trying to get out of this relationship for over a year. I am going back through all of the pictures showing that we spent almost every waking hour together. The ability to put time stamps on photos will hopefully bolster my court cases.
How do you turn them off? The gallery Organizes them by date regardless
How can i add a stamp on an image using my mobile phone tecno camon 12 Area
How can I make schreenshot and always to show the year/month/day/hour/minute
Is there any way to put running time stamp in video?
yes, in the same app, go into video settings, right below the photo settings, and allow it to enable "subtitles" which in the description shows it referse to a time stamp.. I have tried this and it works..
what about on video ?
Easy to follow what you were saying. Easy to understand. Great video and thanks for telling us about this cool free Timestamp program. I have it on my tablet now and it was easy to use. Will be installing it on my smartphone too. Thanks.
great ap very helpful thank you
I don't think Motorola allows me to change the date and time on a photo that I took
cooool thanks
"..with no ads" (shows video where it clearly says, "Contains Ads")
Hi guys, can anyone recommend an app or desktop software to stamp preexisting pictures?
if you already have photos on your PC that you want to date with a time stamp, I suggest Windows Paint, the older version. The one where the icon looks like an easel and a paint brush. You would basically be adding Text to the photo. In your case a text would be a date you want attached to the photo. Once you add that text/date you will have to Save As that photo as a jpeg. So your creating a copy of the original but with a time stamp on it.
@@808breaksbad. Thank you for your answer.
I ended up using Adobe Lightroom, because you can preset the text and it's format.
I do not see watering
Time stamp
🎉
This is no longer true. I'm able to automatically add a time/date stamp on my S22 by turning on "Watermark" within the camera setting.
I thought the same thing with my Galaxy Note 10+. My phone does not have the "Watermark" feature.
Incorrect - data gathering
You saved me!!! LOL but yes you did.
Wrong android camera can add timestamp go to camera app settings click on watermark and check the box time and date ....your welcome
Thank you.
Yours is much easier than the videos I watched.
Do you know how to put details in my picture like the time and date?
My old phone has already details in it and the new one has none.
Thank you in advance.😊
Thank you
Thanks dude
I did exactly what you said but it's not working on my Note 20 Ultra,do you know why???
Are you trying to post date the stamp to a picture already taken, or add timestamps to future photos? I don't think you can make the timestamp show up on older photos without doing some photoshop type shit.
@Gmork Automatically set time and date stamps to pictures that I will take...
@@gmork1090 Correct. MS Paint is great for that.
Deceitful video. Says right in the app store Open Camera contains ads. Im willing to bet he's getting kickback from them to lie.
NONE of these techniques would enable adding timestamp to an existing photo in your ONLINE photo library (such as Google Photos library)!
Correct.
You could've said all that in a quarter of the time. Waffling when people just want the answer, which is "you can't, you have to add it yourself".
Untrue. You CAN add a time stamp and he explained how to do it. He proved it's not impossible to add a Time Stamp. The title of the video doesn't say "How to add a time stamp to your photos on your android phone using only dedicated features available on your android phone".
@@808breaksbad.
So that isn't a time stamp. You can add any text you want after the photo is taken, obviously. That isn't a time stamp.
HEY DUMMIES! it says 'CONTAINS ADS' on the app!!!
Mine did not have ads. You sure it was Open Camera? The app that I installed and then uninstalled before the Open Camera App, did have ads. Otherwise I would have been paying
$4.99 for no ads. So I wouldn't be so quick to call others DUMMIES.
..look at the 55 sec mark - "Contains Ads" @@100PercentOS2
For future reference, please indicate what version of Android your video is referring to.
When you forget to do that, you add another level of confusion.
