The T in Super Junior-T stands for Trot, so what you just saw and heard is Super Junior-T's take on a Trot-style song. Trot music is like a cross between the equivalent of western old-style country music and cabaret music. Trot is traditionally older-style Korean pop music, but Super Junior puts their own spin on it and they make it all about being kind of cheesy, fun and over the top combined with the traditional Trot sound and style.
"Rokkugo" or "Rukako" is actually the Korean characters that make up the word gokkuro spelled backwards. Gokkuro literally means backwards or opposite. So "Rokkugo" plays with the fact that everything is unlike what you would expect -- they literally spell the word "backward" backward. The whole style and sound of this song and MV is supposed to remind you of traditional older style Korean pop music with Super Junior's twist adding a more modern Kpop feel with a rap section and crazy, fun lyrics and catchy rhythms.
Trot usually appeals to more of the older Korean generations because it's the style of music they grew up on, but with Super Junior-T the group was able to bring the genera to the younger audiences and reach all generations of listeners.
"Rokuko" came out in 2007 and it smashed records in the industry at that time -- especially because it was such a non-traditional Kpop style and concept. Kpop is geared toward younger generations and yet Super Junior was taking the style and sound of music loved by their grandparents and making it accessible to all generations. "Rokuko" is the No.1 top-selling single for 2007 in Korea.
Fun fact: They also released a Japanese version of this song called "Rock & Go" (or also known as "65" by Japanese fans because 6 in Japanese is ruko and 5 is go.)
If you look up the English translation for "Rokuko" you will see the song doesn't make sense in English, but as I have been told, if you are Korean you would understand the funny jokes and play on words they use which plays with the backwards and forwards concept of the song. That's why there are no captions with the live clip, because it wouldn't make any sense.
The way they are dressed -- with their funny hairstyles, shiny sequin jackets and bow ties, etc. -- is how male trot singers traditionally dress.
There are only 6 members that make up this sub-unit -- Leeteuk (Red Jacket), Heechul (pink jacket), KangIn (white/light silver jacket), Shindong (yellow jacket), Sungmin (grey jacket), and Eunhyuk (green jacket). This unit was created because these members personalities and vocal styles are perfect for the trot style of music.
(I don't think it has anything to do with their ages. For example, Yesung is the next oldest after Leeteuk and Heechul and he is not part of this group.)
As you know, all Kpop concerts have a cute section of their concert where the members usually dress up in cute or funny costumes and perform cute songs. These live performances are just some of Super Junior's cute stages -- but because it's SuJu it's extra crazy because they are known for having no boundaries and not caring about looking cool when it comes to having fun. For example, dressing up like Elsa from the Disney movie Frozen is just so SuJu. And they didn't just each dress up like a different character from the movie, but they all chose to come up with their own version of the same character. LOL Not a single one of their costumes was the same and each one was crazier than the last.
Olaf the snowman was played by Zhoumi, one of the Chinese members from Super Junior-M. Zhoumi was originally training to be a TV personality and host before becoming a member of Super Junior, so that is why he was given the position as the announcer for this stage. Plus, Zhoumi and Henry aren't usually allowed to participate in the main parts of the concert, so it's special to see either of them with the rest of the group. (You really should check out some of Super Junior-M's songs and live performances in order to get to know Zhoumi and Henry. You can't call yourself a true ELF, unless you know ALL the members. :D)
The stage where the members are dressed up like the Power Rangers is from their Super Show 7 concert world tour in 2017 or 2018, so as you can see, not only are the members that are part of Super Junior-T singing, but all the members participate in the song. Yesung, Donghae and Siwon fill in for Sungmin and KangIn who are both on hiatus from the group at this time. This was the first concert tour SuJu did after the majority of the members had been discharged from the military. (Ryeowook and Kyuhyun also weren't there because they were still in the military at this time.)
The hip-hop remix live was from their Super Show 8 in 2019, so yes, all the members have been discharged from the military at this point. There are 8 members who participated in this concert. Unfortunately, this was the first world tour concert where Heechul chose to not participate because of his health issues, so Yesung, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun are filling in for KangIn who has now left the group and Sungmin and Heechul who are on hiatus.
SuJu is known for being extra crazy and over the top when they get together. They are just a crazy, funny group of brothers that have no problem letting their guard down and just being themselves. That's why they are so loved and are so iconic because even after almost 16 years, they have never changed and are always real, and nothing but themselves. When it comes to SuJu you never ask why, you just go with it and except it for what it is -- fun, crazy and totally SuJu -- it doesn't make sense, but because its SuJu it totally makes sense. LOL

Super Junior T is the only sub-unit without a main singer (I didn't include D&E because It's a duo and a "more recent" sub unit). They made their first apperence in November 2006 (with Donghae), but they officialy debuted in 2007 (without Donghae). The T is for Trot a korean music genre, at the time was dying as a genre, and thanks to SuJu became popular again (they were the first kpop group to sing a trot song).
The song Superman that they sing Is a cover of Norazo song, It was a popular song in 2009, also Heechul hair was 2NE1 Dara pineapple hairstyle, also a "popular" or better an iconic hairstyle in 2009, in that exebition SuJu put differents popular things in 2009 likes SNSD Genie choreo. In general 2009 was a really iconic year in kpop.

Looking forward to the D&E special! Donghae and Eunhyuk are both releasing solo songs before the offical comeback. Donghae on Oct 13th and Eunhyuk on Oct 20. The offical comeback is Nov 2nd. So depending on how you go with recording you might able to do all three songs at once, or maybe slip in an extra D&E reaction before hand. I’d suggest ‘Bout you & No Love :)
Rokkugo means backwards. Actually the whole lyrics are just a bunch of sentences that are read exactly the same normally or backward (except the rap part, which is also interesting, it includes hangul alphabets (lol).

Zhoumi was the one who wore olaf mask, i think shindong already went on military that time. Also Rokkugo just a song without meaning, cause Rokkugo just a backward word of Gokkuro which also mean backward, so the song basically just a word play in Korean. I would say T was hyung-line unit but Yesung and Hangeng (ex member) werent there.
The last word they said "shilpae" means failed, i think it is their favourite word since everytime they play games or something even though they did it successfully, they will always said shilpae 😂

It is very usual for them to say that they failed, they find it funny to say "silpae" more when they are in variety shows, it is like a joke between them, or to make a situation funny. The point of "silpae" is have fun (for example in games or challenges that they do in programs, even if they lose they don't care as long as it's fun, so in the end they win because the important thing about being on camera is to stand out LOL). I don't know how to explain it but it's something like that hahaha. They apply it in "trivial" things to call it somehow, although with them I don't know anymore. 😂💙
