Very nicely done video. I look forward to seeing many more like this. As far as the operation of the dozer, new operators (or want to be operators) can learn a lot from watching the techniques employed by this operator. Well done!
Yeah I always say like a blind person see`s through their finger tips , whether your walking out on a swamp edge of a hillside or driving a loaded truck into a roundabout . You drive it by the seat of your pants, do it for long enough & buy reading the ground in front , it`s well worth the perseverance .So you`er right he dose have a good feel for grade.
When you’re 10-20 jobs behind because of rain it’s sorta hard to do it fast and consistently. He’s going at a pretty slow pace. Very fine mineral too. Dump truck placement pays a big factor too, some don’t like to think before they dump
nice work but let's not forget what he's grading plus the size dozer he's using. that's a toy. that's fine for that type of material but questing is can he grade to different grades. can he finish? Grading and finishing are two different animals.
Jordan Houston I know, I got subbed out to a couple of companies yrs back, I'd cut and rough in with a grade man in front, doing roads there fuzzy, I'd get damn close, I'd finish off with a 12G blade, got where I could cut the blue paint off the hubs they'd set for final grade
the old feather backdrag trick, put one edge in the ground and keep your other an inch or 2 in the air, pay attention noobs, this is an easy way to get a clean wind-row free grade

He is a good operator and knows how to back drag to fix the mistakes!
Good Old ! Float ! CONTROL ! Hey !
@@davidwillard7334 It doesn't look like he is floating on the backdrag to me, but I could be wrong.
Good Operator, nice an smooth, he's got a good feel for grade, I use to do it, it's all in your butt feeling the machine and blade

@walkitout1020 alot harder than with a motor grader, just the short tracks its easy to get waves.
Makes me miss my grandparents even more! I used to ride on my grandpa's 850 case dozer when I was younger!
@Zincon48 its parking for a bike/ hiking trail.
thats for sure it can be very hard at first to grade with a dozer takes time and a cool head
So When it Starts Snowing ! Is that !! COLD ! ENOUGH !!??
Yea, a cool little dozer. Is that a 6 way blade or just 4?
Where’s your stakes with grades and a laborer to pull strings?
@letsdig18 Yeah, figured it was kind of a stupid question to ask when I thought about it, but I wasn't sure if it was a mall or a store.
@letsdig18 who's holding the camera?
@casecx700 yeah just ended up getting the smooth drum roller tho
was this before or after the windshield got busted?
What kind of place needs a parking lot in the middle of the damn forest?
How many tons of stone will this job take, and did you buy the roller ???
love that little dozer:)
What year is the dozer
Why didn't you spread the stone with the truck tailgate?
So this is the project that you needed the rollers for
How difficult is it to grade with a dozer i have done grading with the graders but never a dozer
@letsdig18 how did your windshield get busted?
Awesome work bud

Michael Johnson
Get a bucket and fill it with gravel by patching up bare patches in driveways.
I could eventually learn how to operate such machinery without any issue, nice video.

Great to see a good operator - a lot of crappy videos with cowboy operators out there1

He is very good though.
You just make it look so easy

Bon travail
А вот у нас так не получается. как бы мы ни старались,всё равно выходит криво.
But a good operator never backblades
Why?
@@John-nx6ue because he can do it with the front of the blade and if u have to ask you are not a good operater
@@John-nx6ue it's a dozer not a drag back machine wears the frog the blades are bolted to
@@wilmamcdermott3065 dude im a paver. I just get help of a wheel loader operator. I wanna learn to one day

Not the best operator in town..needs to angle blade more to direct material..
