- Back today for a quick little match on one of my favorite maps, Chalet! First game in a bit here now and it was an interesting one.. Unfortunate circumstances but we gave it our all! Good lessons for playing your own game at your own pace as well. Many helpful tips and tricks here to help you rank up and improve your K/D in your matches! We're in about Diamond/Champ hidden MMR, for anyone who doesn't know how Ranked 2.0 works.

20K OTW Congrats!! You have been a big help to the evolution of my game. I ventured out to play by myself instead of playing with my toxic “friends”. It’s been peaceful and productive as I went from a 0.8 KD stuck in silver to a 1.2 KD pushing plat for my first season back from a huge break. Thanks for the great content 30K before you know 🎉

I'd like to see some high end zero game play in future videos. I see zero being a decent solo operator with hard breaches, cameras, and had a good gun
I do love me some Zero I usually always play him on Bank! I'll get more of him next season too, excited for the Zero ACOG, that's gonna be something

Yo, How do you get that consistent aim on controller, I’m really thinking about switching to pc because my aim will be goated one game and then bad the next. I play multiple games all the time and can’t spend a long time on siege. I’ve been playing ever since the beginning but for the previous reasons mentioned can never stay consistent on how good my aim is.

Yeah it's all about the time and reps you put in really, and it could be something as simple as your set-up or sens or something mechanical like that. And obviously some games your aim is just gonna feel off on controller and can't do much about that
@@ilumahsokaI’ve been playing since the very beginning and I was diamond in operation health but my aim was never good then either, I spent the whole year 5 or 6 playing only siege but never got consistent aim so i guess I’m just not him :( lol, I’ll try on my pc but I don’t want to pay 20 to buy it if it ain’t gonna make me better 😂
Yea honestly I lowered my sens and I’m able to control recoil so good if your playing controller go for like 20-30 vertical and 20-40 horizontal and see how you like it
Play slower. I, like you, used to suffer from aim that I can’t consistently control. Biggest tip I can give you is to go into shooting range, pick your favorite guns (select one at a time) use the wall to learn the recoil pattern and which way you need to pull down with the joystick. Then go to the far right range and set it up on large ball with as many targets as it lets you then make sure it’s on infinite ammo mode and run tons of those while keeping the trigger held down, this forces you to aim, re-aim, and make fine adjustments while simultaneously controlling your choice weapons recoil. Do this like 10 times, go take a break and exercise or something, come back and do it 10 more times. This helped me learn weapons recoil patterns and how to instinctually control their recoil. After this, if you want to further these skills set arcade to free for all only and forget about winning just get used to the initial “shock” of seeing an enemy when you aren’t expecting to and use your recoil control skills to preemptively absorb that initial “bounce” your recoil does when your trigger finger is faster than your thumb. I can finally control the F2 and my friends even accused me of buying a strike pack because of it. I still have mess up moments and bad games but my overall aim is much more consistent.

I personally like using frost on that library hold you did with Ella, she can have frost mats and a shield to hold her back and the mezzanine. Or castle and they both have the secondary shotguns to open holes and hatches.
That's a really good choice! I used to use frost for it wayyy back when I first started my soloQ videos I think but I haven't in a while, might be time to bring it back since she's getting the ACOG too

Ilum, you’re the man! I just got the white kontrol freaks from when I asked you a few vids back. I saw you even mentioned them in a video bc I asked🤣. Anyways, first game on using them… noticed a massive improvement in aim and control on my stick
Facts, in the beginning of the season before Kontrol Freaks I had a 0.8 KD. Now as the season is coming to a close I’m at a 1.2 with them. Best investment I’ve made and if you pair it with an elite controller makes you insane.

I've been using Holo A forever but it might be getting nerfed next season because the dot is thicker on the test server. So been trying out other options. I feel like holo B is gonna be the best and holo C might be underrated

Yes, that is the point in them, I just switched to Kontrol Freeks and it definitely makes a difference and allows you to play a higher sense with out losing control of aim

Hey Ilum just started watching your content not too long ago and wondering if you had any advice on when to swing and when not to swing. I notice you talk about being more confident and I’ve tried that but they’re usually just holding a tight peak and I die. Part of it is probably my aim but just wondering if you had anymore advice on that
Yeah sometimes holding tight pixels like that are good, but if the enemy knows about it and prefires or swings with peekers advantage then you're probably dead, that's why I always preach playing off util instead and swinging them so you get the upper hand in the fight! I have some specific gun fight and positioning tip videos that go over that stuff too if you're interested! They're in the tips playlist and have the different style thumbnails, I'd recommend
hate to admit but sometimes when a teammate leaves to helps my 3 stack lock in, and enemy team lets their guard down a little. honestly we end up wining more often then not. P.S. STILL LOVE THESE VIDEOS. can’t wait for your Y9 videos.
Very true I sometimes feel this way when I'm playing with people too, sucks more for sure in solo but I understand what you mean with the getting in the way stuff when you're using strats, they always just mess it up and you're better off with them gone

Good question, maybe actually Chalet for attack but I'll say it's tied with Bank. And for defense I'll say Bank too (I love Bank) but to change it up I'll go with Skyscraper

Little Tip: When playing Ela you should keep a mine on you, in case they push you. you can use it to your advantage !!
Very true there, I'd probably do that more if I was stacked or had at least a duo or trio but I just like throwing them around everywhere to get everything locked down. Also I do that if I notice they bring a shield every round, easy counter
i love wamai on the top floor library hold, works every time. but i struggle with attacking on chalet, feels like i cant get through anything without whole team coordination which just doesnt exist in solo queue
True true attacking any map right now is tough in solo queue especially, maybe next season it'll be a little bit easier. Also love the Wamai pick there as well
what fov you play on and does that help you to control your recoil so well?
84 and nah but kind of, the higher the fov means less recoil visually. So 90 would be the least in terms of that

yeah he uses galaxy control freaks high one on his right stick and he has a paddle on the back of his controller for crouching
There's no way your not coronis or zim. that smg 12 recoil control is crazy
Just a whole lot of practice with them, it is possible though, some other players got it down too

Appreciate that first of all! And for the controller I use the elite 2 and also the powerA is good, they both have paddles so I can use the left one for crouch (B). And then galaxy kontrol freeks, high rise on the right stick

I can try! I usually don't play too much mira because it's too much site setup and then my teammates will all just die and I'll be 2v5 on my Mira and I can't really get as active then

Yup probably but still don't get why you'd even queue if you're gonna play 1 round and die early then leave. Crazy to me. And yeah the 2.0 matchmaking sucks for that, my first game on multiple accounts this season was against champ stacks, wish we could work thru the ranks like how it used to be
