    I can’t get the first row right. Is 90 the right number of chains? I keep finishing way too early and my last white stitch is nowhere near the end of the pattern :(

      It’s 11 blue spaces, not ten 😭😭😭

    After you close off the top, you can leave it as how it is, the hat looks good as a simple beanie; if you like the pom pom version but don't know how to make or attach one, here are some tutorials from other channels I think would be helpful to you.

    Wow you're very talented!!! Is this picture called patchwork?
    I think its very cool that you can follow a pattern by looking at the picture!
    I'm very impressed, I'd like to learn, my kids would look so cute with matching beanies!

    Thank You for sharing your beautiful pattern how many chains for a child

    • @CherilynQ
      @CherilynQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! The chain number depends on the head circumference and the yarn used, and you'll need to modify the graph width too.

    How do you get the brim on evenly going from 70 rows in the brim to the 90 stitches of the hat?

    • @CherilynQ
      @CherilynQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After I put the brim on the hat 24:00, I stretch them out as far as I can, pin brim and hat edges on both sides with stitch markers, then keep the edges stretched, and pin the center front and center back again, and from there, I can keep pinning the middle of each segment and repeat again if I want. Let me know if I'm not being clear. I'll try again.

    I have so much trouble with this stitch! Even though i'm careful to make loose stitches its still so hard to get my hook in between the v's.

      Thank you!! It could be done in rounds. However, the snowflake pattern will be slanted if you do it that way.

    hey can u make a video tutorial of making own graph patterns and adjusting the size if u havent, ik about stitchfiddle but if i want to make something small the image looks very blurry
    btw i love ur tutorials!!

    • @CherilynQ
      @CherilynQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a very interesting idea! Thank you and I will try make one soon. Can you be a little more specific about your image looking blurry? I had a look at Stitch Fiddle, it doesn't seem to be too different from Photoshop which is what I use. It seems you can create pretty detailed images with lots of pixels in it.

    • @CherilynQ
      @CherilynQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, it could just be how you save it that's making the image blurry. I haven't tried to save an image from Stitch Fiddle yet, but I do save my images made in PS differently. I don't use the saved file; I open the pixel picture in PS, and then screenshot it. It's the jpg file you download from my video.

    • @md_jashim
      @md_jashim 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CherilynQ like example I want to make a wallet and the pattern to be detailed it will call for 100 stitches, it will be too big and I will end up making a pillow case LOL. So if I edit and make the stitches 30 or some, many details are missing so the image ends up lookin "blurry" and not what the actual image was if yk what I mean lol

    • @md_jashim
      @md_jashim 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I want to learn how to adjust the size of the pattern without losing much details ànd look like the original image

    • @CherilynQ
      @CherilynQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@md_jashim I see what you mean. I'm not professional in drawing or pixel art but I can still try make a video explaining and sharing my own experience if you want. 🥰

    hii tysm for making this video i made the main body and loveee the pattern but it’s enormous 😭 i haven’t made the bottom ribbed section yet, would that make it fit more closely on my head without covering my eyes?? i don’t have a small head by any means but this is just huge bahahshsha

    • @CherilynQ
      @CherilynQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! You're so welcome! The ribbing will make it fit better but also add length to the hat. It'd be a slouchy version. If you don't want that, you could undo a few rows at the top (I know you probably already closed it but 😞) so anyway, make the ribbing first, adjust the st and row count, attach it, so you can have a better judgement, then undo a number of rows at the top of the hat as you see fit. Hope this helps 💗

    • @gothxpanda
      @gothxpanda ปีที่แล้ว

      I think she recommends a H or I size crochet hooke for this pattern. When I found the first two rows to be too big on my head I went down a size ... Then Another ... I think I ended up using an E size hook for this pattern and it came out snugg.
      I still cant believe how pretty the pattern comes out ❤ I want to make more, each a different color for Christmas gifts 🎄

    How long did the entire project take, roughly?

    • @CherilynQ
      @CherilynQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Took me 2 days but because I frogged it once and also had to record. If I were to make one following the tutorial, I think 8 hours tops. I'm slow though.
