SunshineShitNGiggles OrsumthingApprpriate I checked my gauge and was way off too, and I’m a tight crocheter. I ended up doing the toddler size for a 10 year old child and with the 59 it came out to 17 inches for me.
Lol...3 yrs later....gonna give this pattern another go....stuck already on first row of fair isle stitches. making the adult size. i have 50 stitiches around. it fits my head nicely. doing the colour changes every 10 st. you have five left over before the end of first row of colour changes, i have 10. not sure what i'm doing wrong. can you help?
Hi Monika, If you use a different hook size, it will probably change the gauge. So you can follow the pattern as a guide but you'll have to alter the number stitches and rounds you crochet so your hat will fit and I can't guarantee it'll look like the sample sorry! Grace :)
