It's a misconception that just bc they're homeless that they don't have their own social network. I worked with homeless people & they really took care of each other within the shelter. Some of them had been friends 4 many over 20 yrs. One if the hardest reasons to home them is bc they're then disconnected from their community & ostracized by society. I worked on skid row for many years and that place has never changed,I would walk through there and look for my clients and I promise you,the sorrow and anguish has seeped into the pavement and each person that steps foot on that site ends up crossing the veil into saha. It's very sad to smell sorrow like that. I considered myself strong, well traveled and I'm even a Veteran of 2 wars, and nowhere that I've been ever prepared me for the pain and dissonance inside of there. I can only hope for each of them (us)and maybe that isint enough but my hope is that they (us)somehow will find there way back home, and in the arms and hearts of someone who can be their mirror of positivity, so perhaps in their next life they will be reborn into the land of the living. Collectively let's all bind our hearts together and though innumerable send each of them love and prayers. God help us all. This is America never to be great again.
Beautiful words! People often assume they don't families that love them or worry about them. Some don't, but I have a son that is a chronically homeless paranoid schizophrenic and every single day I think of him, wonder if he is still alive. He is so sick (mentally) now that he doesn't know that we are family. He calls us every few months but he thinks we are business associates of some sort. It's surreal to talk to your child and you try to tell them you are their parent and they actually get mad and tell you that you are lying, I stopped trying. We can't do one thing to get him the help that he *needs*. He has been in and out of psychiatric wards, jail, prison, etc for YEARS now. The one time he was in forced care by conservatorship he thrived, he made sense, they brought him back by medication. Once the conservatorship was terminated he went right back to the streets. The system is broken from the top to the bottom and that is why we see so many lost souls out there.
I think Mark knows and that’s why he does this work. He wants us all to see what he sees and we do and it changes us it has me. Every single life holds value and Mark gives them a moment to be raw and human. And really that’s what all of us want.
Mark is truly a loving person. He spends alot of time getting to know these people as individuals and that is why they trust him and want to be around him. Mark isn't just taking photographs and interviewing them, he is embracing them as human beings. Thanks for your compassionate work Mark From a viewer in Canada
She gives Mark 2 books "cuz I have so many" How many could she truly have? How much of anything does she have? People like her with nothing will give you anything they have. Then People who have everything will give you nothing but a disgusted look. You are so right Ruby. This world has to change. ... but it won't.
“So that I know you’re okay cuz if not I’ll find you...I’ll try my best” 🥺🥺 Even in her darkest moments she still worries about Him 😢God Bless this woman💖
I love this woman.....her complexities, her love of life and her admiration of Mark and all he represents to her. She has such a good heart. I hope the best for her.
At first when I was listening to the interview and Ruby goes off into "left field" about folks crawling out of coffins and stuff- it sounded to me like Mark was a little nervous talking to her at this stage; or somewhat unprepared. Then later on she starts veering off the chosen path again, he distracts her BEAUTIFULLY. It was so smooth and professional. I am continuously impressed with Mark's interview style and his ability to "join" the interviewees in the moment.
This must be the most important program there is, the insight is just incredible. It shows these people are human too but living in a vicious cycle that has a grip so tight it's unlockable! However there are also guests that shouldn't be free in society.
This poor lost soul, lord please set these people from all this damage from childhood to generational curses nobody deserves to live like this, bless her heart.
I think there is a way to make changes to this world. You see every time you go to the movies or buy/rent out a film or music, you contribute to the funds of Hollywood's celebrities. Which are all minted. Every time you use Amazon you do the same thing, the guy that owns the place is the richest person in the world as far as I know. Those rich people have the money and the power to end homelessness around the world if they'd actually stick together and donate and build homes and try to make the world understand that we need free health care for everyone, I mean we all pay taxes, right? So there is a way to end all of this pain. If the right people would just care enough. But they just sit on their money, own their mansions and are living the life while others rot in the streets.
Wired yes I agree 💯 it’s kinda crazy we could fix all these problems in this world but I think people aren’t doing there part to do so it’s gonna have to take all of us to contribute to the change great observation and I completely agree.
@@dariusjohnson5648 Yeah it's kind of ridiculous that us middle/lower class people are trying our best to somehow support the ones less fortunate than us, even if it's just giving some change to your favourite local homeless person or donating to this gofundme or so while the rich only get richer.
so many people can experience drug induced psychosis without even being addicts too, my bestfriend does everytime she smokes weed, its the worse and i feel horrible for anyone whos experienced it.
She might have suffered from psychosis even before doing drugs. Or from another mental illness. Many mental health patients develop a drug habit or other forms of addiction as a desperate/intuitive/subconscious way of self-medication to deal with it, or with its repercussions: becoming a social outcast, or feeling like one. It's a poor person's means of dealing with pain, stress, trauma - not everyone gets access to the right kind of consolation / therapy they would really need. Then their shit gets even more complicated until it hits the fan.
In the condition she's in She worries about Mark when she doesn't see him in awhile.😊 Give her peace, Lord!💞 You're right Ruby, the world need to change.
She knows how dangerous loving people like her is...let alone some of the even more dangerous characters Mark interviews. Even in her state, she sees his worth and cares!
That's what happens when you only have yourself to talk to (not trying to be funny)but some people talk in circles or talk about things that are only understandable in their heads. She just lacks a bit of social skills that's all. She's honestly an amazing person tho...no doubt about that.!
To the maker of these short films. I love how you see inner beauty and real life in people that most would pass right by or shun. I love your videos and thank you for sharing their stories. Everyone on this planet has an amazing, beautiful, traumatically inspirational story and you make it possible for them to be heard.
It would be so interesting to see what she sees and to see what’s going on in her brain. She seems clear headed in some statements then veers off. The human mind on/off drugs is so fascinating
I can’t believe she has so many abscesses and not once has she got a septic infection, or she never mentioned. The human body can handle a lot. But she should get the medical care she needs. I want that for her so that she can function in society and get the respect she deserves. She seems so kind and caring.
I was in such a shitty mood when I started this video. Pissed off at my roommate. 5 minutes in and I’m extremely grateful for my home, my bed, safety and being able to “relax”, just as she described.
She’s so there and so fucking far away at the same time. The second he asked her about her trauma you could see her change and then fall off into this psychotic tangent. The second he changes tact and asks her about something to warm her she comes back. This could be me one day. This could be you. This could be our children. It’s so fucking tragic.
I had a friend who was a long time alcoholic and prescription drug addict. He became psychotic and was diagnosed with post alcoholic dementia. He got off every substance but the damage was done and he became suicidal, ultimately he stood in front of a moving train. The damage can’t always be reversed.
Binge watching these playlists. Wow. A lot of these people could of been me! I have mantle illness and suffered a lot of trauma as a child. My later teenage years and early 20s I drank and self medicated! I was not able to heal or cope. I’m so glad I was able to get sober and work on myself! I’m also lucky to have a supportive family and husband. If I didn’t get sober and find good coping skills I know I would of ended up homeless and without my kids at some point down the road. Thank you for shedding light on these topics and situations! Bless you. Bless us all!
She’s the only person I’ve heard from all these videos that’s “happy” with this life. She has SO MUCH life in her eyes and smile. I wish I could sit with her and just listen to her stories, and Jerry, love me some Jerry.
I must say...with every interview I watch, it hasn't ceased to amaze me how mark interacts with his people..kindness, the respect and the genuine interest he shows, I'm sure many of them don't get those things often. ..smh makes me so thankful
Ruby: I just want to lie still, where every nerve in my body can relax. Me: Prayers 🙏🏽going up asking that she learns how to find the right path to inner PEACE. 🌸🌼
@@ruthb3870 She said she used to have that. I don't think she remembers death from before coming to life, so what I believe is that she is an insomniac (drug withdrawal?) , always under stress (hustling the street life!), can't get any peace of mind, either hears voices (psychotic?) or is constantly thinking about other stuff in a confused/haywire fashion, hypervigilant (PTSD?), hyperfocussed or scatterbrained (ADHD?), or switching personas (multiple personality disorder?), or she is having all kind of flashbacks (trauma/drugs?) and suffers from memory loss (depression? drug abuse? brain damage?). Most of the time she speaks so fast as if her speech cannot keep up with her thoughts (manic?). So I have come to think that she suffers from various mental health conditions at once. I think she just misses being calm, relaxed, feeling secure, having a good night's sleep again. It might have been years since, with the living conditions she is in and her past traumata. She probably has chronic psychosomatic body tension/pain conditions/nightmares as well. Many mentally ill people suffer from chronic back pain, bowel disorders, migraines, itchiness, restless leg syndrome, nightly cramps, epilepsy, tense jaw and tooth ache from grinding teeth when asleep. Shit like that. It must be damn tiring.
@@elfsieben1450 multiple personality disorder is no longer a diagnosis and is considered insulting to use; it's dissociative identity disorder (DID) or OSDD (otherwise specified dissociative disorder)
Mark that was the sweetest interview. Please tell Ruby we love her. You MAKE a difference in their lives. I’m sure at times you question if you are or not. Trust and believe darling. You are ♥️

Thank you for befriending Ruby💕 I just wish I could reach thru my phone and hug her tight and tell her we all love her. She’s such a tortured soul. I pray someday, somehow, she can find the peace she longs for.
I absolutely love Ruby💜. She is an awesome human being. Wish she took her medication just for a while to have clarity and lucidity for more than her fleeting moments. I was interested to hear her opinion about her schooling. I am adamant that most of these people have some sort of learning disability. May not mean much to a lot of people, but if you have a processing issue it appears you have some type of mental illness, but it’s a processing issue of information ( same doctors need to diagnose these issue, but treatment is different ) this is why so many of them sound so smart( they ARE) if no one helped them on the school level, they just kept moving without the survival skills they needed to survive. We have all let them down 😔. May we all come together to support these spirits that could be any of us!
Thank you Mark for being a little part of all of us who would love to do exactly what you do. You do it very well. You have a purpose. Letting each and every one of these lost souls tell thier stories...and without judgement. Not many can do that. means alot to them. Ty
Mark brings out the sweetest in people and ruby is so bright!!! The way she says mark is her friend and she trusted one person before and can now trust him too, is beautiful. Ruby is an example of all of us who have seen so much in a very changing and chaotic world.
God bless her for being able to see beauty in such an ugly place she’s in. Such a giver and what a caring nature. Even when she blips out and comes back for a bit. She’s in there, she can be saved. I’ll pray for her.
I could have cried at the end when she told a Mark she loved him. She is quite literally the sweetest soul. Ruby, you touched my heart ❤️🥺 I would love to see an update!

So happy to see Ruby is doing better today and that she is support and encouragement from us your fans and it seems like as simple as people reaching out and showing her support and giving her words of encouragement would seem to the average person maybe even seem insignificant that it has a profound drastic life-altering effect on Ruby sometimes a lot of people that suffer with addiction and struggle in life are simplysuffering from the lack of attention caring and love that the average person takes for advantage I hope to see Rubyagain I look forward to seeing if more improvements are made and see her in a better place hopefully eventually off of skid row and back with her children she seems like she has a really big heart she's a caring mother and she just made some bad decisions along the way. Prayers for Ruby 💯😘
These would be forgotten invisible people if it wasn't for this channel. Ruby has a lovely soul. She's got an illness. But it hasn't killed her hope or her soul as that still shines through. She also mentioned she's grateful as there's worse people off than her which if you think about other countries and what people have to go through its true. She mentioned witch craft and looked scared when mentioning a few things. She's maybe confusing reality with nightmares. She just needs to take her medication to stop the delusions. I hope she stays safe 🙏💜🌸💜
Thanks for the update I was wondering about her, it seems like a she had a nervous breakdown at some point and the drugs just took it to a different level I wish she would get help.
Mark. Thank you for allowing these people speak their truth and acknowledging their worth. When she said that "I love you" really touched me. This will change her life❤
Mark is good people i feel bad cuz i misjudged him on a silly comment he made on one of his first videos he is doing alot of good so im apologizing thank you
Me as well. I made a comment about his interviewing style. But he is a force for good with these people who's lives are the most chaotic and messed up on earth.
Think a lot of us have done that tbf. Every now n then there's a "eww Mark" comment..I saw him on an interview of late with Big Jumper and a previous guest on here (Sharp) ..and he seems to have a beautiful soul, with the beat of intentions..he came from a different world from ANY of his interviewees and that shows every now n then..But its not arrogance, its just trying to meet the people he interviews in the middle.
I dread to think where some of these people would be without you, Mark. You're amazing. Thank you for buying her dinner. I'm sure that small token made her day ❤️
When Mark asked her about what pain she was referring to and she almost shut down and transformed, I thought this is a sign of a coping mechanism/reaction people who have suffered unhealed trauma can have, especially if they have added distortion to their reality with unregulated self-medicating/drug taking on top of the lifestyle they have. Living on the streets is a hard life, rape, prostitution and deception is usual. Mark asked a frank question and I think her coping brain jumped in showing years of coping alone without genuine caring help. Imagine having traumatic things happen and then not being able to understand or work through that and continuing to live in unstable conditions. When I see things like this I feel like these people are so damaged but the damage was done long ago and the scar tissue around it has paved it’s own mental map. It was so good she said how him asking and talking was great. High quality therapy should be available to anyone who needs it.
Everytime I see an update, I am just glad that they're still alive.. That is so heartbreaking.

I'm so sorry that you have to deal with that crap. After serving our country, you should be treated like royalty
I think Mark knows and that’s why he does this work. He wants us all to see what he sees and we do and it changes us it has me. Every single life holds value and Mark gives them a moment to be raw and human. And really that’s what all of us want.
Her personality shifted when he asked about her hurt and trauma. WOW!
I know I had to watch that twice! Wow
😢
Me too Katrina
That was downstairs talking she said.....hummmm sounds like multiple personality
Misty I was thinking that as well.
Mark is such a nice guy
Absolutely what he does is incredible❤️
Mark is a sweetheart I would love to meet him one day
Ja, he's giving them so much, that' s so nice to know and to see!❤️
He is so amazing.
We need someone like Mark in every city of the world.
Mark is truly a loving person. He spends alot of time getting to know these people as individuals and that is why they trust him and want to be around him.
Mark isn't just taking photographs and interviewing them, he is embracing them as human beings.
Thanks for your compassionate work Mark
From a viewer in Canada
She gives Mark 2 books "cuz I have so many" How many could she truly have? How much of anything does she have? People like her with nothing will give you anything they have. Then People who have everything will give you nothing but a disgusted look. You are so right Ruby. This world has to change. ... but it won't.
Hear, hear! I second this!
Mark, I’ve enjoyed your sense of curiosity. You’ve started to weave in a “kind advice” to these folks. Thank you for trying to mentor them.
My heart breaks for her. She’s so generous. For someone who has absolutely nothing she still thinks of Mark and brings him gifts. I pray for her 🙏🏻❤️😔
This poor lost soul, lord please set these people from all this damage from childhood to generational curses nobody deserves to live like this, bless her heart.
Another personality took over at 5.07?

Glad to see Ruby again, thanks Mark.
This is like drug psychosis. Staying up for days for years. Just pray she gets sober and heals.
I agree
I dont think some people can ever come back.
so many people can experience drug induced psychosis without even being addicts too, my bestfriend does everytime she smokes weed, its the worse and i feel horrible for anyone whos experienced it.
In the condition she's in
She worries about Mark when she doesn't see him in awhile.😊
Give her peace, Lord!💞
You're right Ruby, the world need to change.
She knows how dangerous loving people like her is...let alone some of the even more dangerous characters Mark interviews. Even in her state, she sees his worth and cares!
@Charlotte Mia Von Büren she worries because she knows DEEPLY how dangerous love is
you're not helping these people by feeding into their delusions
@Charlotte Mia Von Büren Cut the lady some slack bro. Shes so insane she could never care for children.
Goodness her mind is her worst enemy.... I pray for her healing....
Paulette Cooper I thought it was just me who was confused 🤭
@Paulette Cooper
Me too, Paulette. I'm feeling anxious and worried.
That's what happens when you only have yourself to talk to (not trying to be funny)but some people talk in circles or talk about things that are only understandable in their heads. She just lacks a bit of social skills that's all. She's honestly an amazing person tho...no doubt about that.!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽♥️🙌🏽
Kevin Carter No, man she’s definitely delusional from shooting meth.
The fact that she still shows a sense of gratitude is amazing. I hope she finds peace and that moment to relax that she’s yearning for
To the maker of these short films.
Absolutely
Love Exchange 💸🏳️🌈
This is way more than drugs, this is untreated mental illness!!!!
@@citygirlingraham Yep, the drugs are more like dirty patches she occasionally puts on a wound that has been festering for much longer.
You can see that she has a Sun in her beautiful soul
That’s a beautiful way of putting it. I hope she reads that then maybe she can think about it &/or feel it in hard moments. ☀️
Yes, yes she does.....STILL 🌞 God Bless ya Ruby. My heart breaks for her kindness and the heartache she has longing for her children😞
The Son ...
My heart hurts for everyone that Mark interviews! Mark is very special to be so kind to everyone!
I agree 👍
She’s so there and so fucking far away at the same time. The second he asked her about her trauma you could see her change and then fall off into this psychotic tangent. The second he changes tact and asks her about something to warm her she comes back.
This could be me one day. This could be you. This could be our children. It’s so fucking tragic.
I had a friend who was a long time alcoholic and prescription drug addict. He became psychotic and was diagnosed with post alcoholic dementia. He got off every substance but the damage was done and he became suicidal, ultimately he stood in front of a moving train.
The damage can’t always be reversed.
Oh my goodness!! I'm so sorry! That is truly heartbreaking.
Cindy Weir I’m so sorry. That’s so so sad.
You can get dementia wow
Amazing what alcohol does... and it is legal to purchase.. :( I am so sorry for your loss.
She’s psychotic. She looks like she could lose her fingers and possibly her arms. She should be in a hospital. 😞
That is death. Poor lady is wishing to die.
Very sweet prayer. It was heard and if you don’t mind- I’ll repeat your sentiment?! Thank you.
@@elfsieben1450 multiple personality disorder is no longer a diagnosis and is considered insulting to use; it's dissociative identity disorder (DID) or OSDD (otherwise specified dissociative disorder)
Thank you Ruby for sharing your life with us. I wish you safety, happiness and health. 🇨🇦
Sending peaceful loving vibrations to sweet "Ruby Tuesday" and Mark💜
Wow! This is the best and most coherent I’ve ever seen her!! She looks good! I’d love for her to see her family again soon!

This level of mental illness astounds and saddens me so much. Thank you for bringing a side of soft humanity.
Mark that was the sweetest interview. Please tell Ruby we love her. You MAKE a difference in their lives. I’m sure at times you question if you are or not. Trust and believe darling. You are ♥️
Thank you Mark, for giving these beautiful souls the opportunity to tell their stories. Sometimes all you need is for someone to hear your struggles and your story. 💜
“Until the world changes”....
Love Ruby. God bless us all. Peace I pray upon you dear Ruby.🙏🏾💕
Dave Christiann how do you know I am not doing something?
Mark, thanks for asking her to lunch. You are a good friend. I have literally done nothing today but watch you videos. Thank you for showing us all these wonderful people.
Mark, thank you for the update on Ruby. She seems like such a sweet lady, I really hope & pray she gets help someday soon.
Ruby has a beautiful soul. She is a WARRIOR. Love her spirit. Thanks Mark for giving these individuals a voice.
I saw a glimpse of her true self in this video. Like she came up for air for a moment but she’s lost in the sea of her mind. I hope someday she can get rehabbed and meds. Stay strong!💜
The portrait of Ruby is absolutely lovely. I just came from her other videos. She is a lovely kind person and my favorite by far. 🤍
Bless you Ruby, you have a good heart. Mark you are a hero in my book, THANK YOU for being their friend. You brought a beautiful smile to Ruby face and mine as well!
You forgot to add the gofundme to the video description. I'm glad Ruby is in a relatively good condition and I hope your lunch later on was nice. Thank you for making those videos.
I just want to hug you, Ruby. 💗 You are absolutely amazing and such a beautiful spirit and you deserve so much more in life... Mark, Ruby is truly so very lucky to have such an incredible, caring, kind, loving and genuine friend in you.
When she said she was grateful because it could always be worse... that really says something.
Always be grateful. What a beautiful soul.
You've gotta love her. She's a survivor and a sweetheart.
She truly is, soldiering on without growing bitter, despite her complicated mental condition. Such a strong soul.
Ty
It’s beautiful to see what a difference you make in her life. 💓
Mark brings out the sweetest in people and ruby is so bright!!! The way she says mark is her friend and she trusted one person before and can now trust him too, is beautiful. Ruby is an example of all of us who have seen so much in a very changing and chaotic world.
I'm loving all the positivity from everyone. Keep it up!
Ruby, you deserve it.
Love xx
Thanks for the update Mark glad Ruby is still around she’s such an amazing lady I truly hope she gets help one day soon 💔
The tones in her voice change when the different people decide to speak.😮 you’re like therapy to her, she doesn’t feel judged and she lets all her others speak in front of you .
Well observed! 🧡
I just watched the 2022 video of her and she is so much more understandable in this video. Time has not been good to her mental health. I hope she finds the help she needs. Mark you are such a great man to these people and showing the world the hardships humans go through.
Her poor arms...
Mark..thank you for showing the world that these people are human beings.
I've worked in treatment centers and until you know them and hear them, you will never understand. Its heartbreaking.
Love this channel man💫!! not only watch this reflects on how hard life gets and it's real. I just want too take time an say: you learn so much from videos, how life can be and the way how hard it is on people in our society💯❤ Salutes Brother all the way from Nyc
I'm addicted to these videos! It's fascinating to me the vast difference in people! Everyone is special but there are a handful of people who you can feel their heart! It's amazing!
She’s got to be in complete agony with her arms abscessed !!!! Terribly terribly painful!!!!!!!! Yet she manages to smile and worry about others. True empathy there !!!!!
It's amazing what you can deal with for a addiction.
@Lil Donkey Yeah people lose limbs n shit it's a gamble everyday being an addict.... Been there myself and same as you I'm glad i don't live that lifestyle anymore
She’s high on drugs. I’m sure that helps with the pain
@Lil Donkey I thank god every day that I didn’t put a needle in my vein. My addiction was out of control anyways but I would have died for sure.
DID YOU SEE THE BLUE FINGERS
Mark, i love how informative this show is.
I've learnt so mcuh, it's one thing reading about the side effects of these drugs and its another actually seeing what they do to people's live.
God bless them all though🙏
“They know they should let me see you or I’ll go looking for you...” Ruby said that and it stood out to me a lot.
You have spoken truth well. 💙💜🖤
She needs to find Jesus to free her from any spiritual demons/witchcraft…
Awe having lunch with Mark meant sooo much to her. Thanks for loving on them Mark.
Thanks for the update I was wondering about her, it seems like a she had a nervous breakdown at some point and the drugs just took it to a different level
I wish she would get help.
Always precious...very confused comments but her heart definitely isn’t. She loves Mark. Blessed to have him
Such a tired, beautiful soul.
Mark. Thank you for allowing these people speak their truth and acknowledging their worth. When she said that "I love you" really touched me. This will change her life❤
I wonder if Social Anxiety is a disorder prevalent among the homeless.
Mia I imagine so 💋
It must be
When I was on hardcore drugs I was scared for people to see me because of how skinny I had gotten and I felt like they judged me
Yes but it also seems like paranoia
@ Mia I have social anxiety and I have to fight it everyday. Yes 100%..it takes a toll on you, It drains me out even with medication.
Thank you for the update on Ruby and thank you for the work that you do. You give a voice to those that go unheard to the masses. Thanks for sharing.
Me too. I guess we needed to stick with him and get over our first impression
Thanks for giving ruby a chance, Mark. It’s rare to come across unconditional compassion these days.
